La Sessione Tecnica B1 di Venerdì 31 Agosto, che ha visto impegnato come Special
Reporter M. Marelli, ha riscosso notevole interesse per presenze e contributi.
• PS1: Newly installed or upgraded cable systems;
• PS2: State-of-the-art and trends for cable system rating, testing and monitoring
• PS3: Cables in the network of the future
La discussione plenaria ha coinvolto 50 contributi “preparati” da 14 diversi Paesi. Tra i
contributi “preparati”, 4 sono stati Italiani.
Durante la discussione sono stati portati 82 contributi spontanei, di cui 11 Italiani.
Alla Sessione hanno partecipato circa 260 persone, con picchi fino a 280 persone.

Sessione Tecnica B1
Tra i temi discussi nella Sessione Tecnica B1 si segnala in particolare:
La crescente attenzione agli aspetti ambientali (uso di materiali riciclabili, riduzione
delle perdite e quindi di CO2, etc.)
•L’importanza di corrette politiche di manutenzione degli impianti, di gestione delle
scorte, di programmazione relativamente alla fine-vita dei sistemi
•I feedbacks positivi rispetto all’applicazione dell’Estensione di Qualifica (Technical
Brochure 303), in particolare per cavo/accessori di disegno speciale
•Il crescente uso di sistemi di calcolo FEM e la necessità di integrare le Norme con
metodi di calcolo analitici adeguati a situazioni non previste nelle precedenti edizioni
•Le possibilità offerte da nuovi materiali , con particolare riferimento a nuovi materiali
termoplastici, all’uso di nanocomponenti, ai nuovi impiegi dei superconduttori
•L’integrazione di cavi e dei relativi sistemi di monitoraggio nello sviluppo delle reti del
futuro, con riferimento a smart grids e smart networks
Si segnala anche la partecipazione alla Sessione del Convener del Customer and Tutorial
Advisory Group D1 (Materials and Emerging Test Techniques) che ha sottolineato
l’importanza della forte cooperazione B1-D1.

Comitato di Studio B1
L’ annuale Comitato di Studio B1 ha avuto luogo il Martedì 28 ed il Mercoledì 29 pomeriggio.
Per la prima volta la durata della riunione dello SC B1 nella Sessione di Parigi è stata estesa
a un giorno e mezzo per svolgere tutti gli argomenti dell’ agenda.
Ad oggi lo SC B1 è composto di 24 Membri Regolari, 10 Membri Osservatori, un Segretario
ed il Chairman.
Il Chairman – Pierre Argaut – ha riservato un ringraziamento speciale a Yves Maugain, che
ha concluso il suo lungo incarico durato 12 anni. Assume ora il prestigioso incarico di Segretario
Del TC Cigré. Gli succede come segretario dello SC B1 Alain Gille (Belgio).
Il nuovo indirizzo del sito web dello SC B1 è: http:/b1.cigre.org
Le strutture operative di base dello SC sono i Gruppi di Lavoro (WG).
La loro efficacia operativa è fondata sulla chiara definizione dei Terms of Reference (ToR),
approvati dal Chairman del Comitato Tecnico del Cigré.
Per questo scopo, è pratica normale dello SC B1 stabilire una Task Force (TF) per definire
I terms of reference di un nuovo WG, prima che sia nominato.
