La 500 EcoAbarth alimentata a metano dell’Ecomotori
Racing Team, pilotata da Massimo Liverani, si è aggiudicata il prestigioso titolo di Campione del Mondo, per
la categoria Piloti e Costruttori. A decidere la classifica
finale l’ultima gara (Hi-Tech EKO-Mobility Rally) tenutasi
al’inizio di ottobre in Grecia, attraverso un percorso di
più di 500 Km da Nea Filadelphia ad Atene e dalla capitale greca nuovamente fino a Nea Filadelfia. I sistemi
Cavagna-Bigas hanno funzionato alla perfezione, pur sottoposti a sollecitazioni estreme
hanno confermato nuovamente che l’alimentazione a metano non ha nulla da invidiare ad
altri tipi di carburanti. “Ci confermiamo ai vertici del
Mondiale per il terzo anno consecutivo,” – ha commentato Nicola Ventura, Direttore Sportivo dell’Ecomotori
Racing Team - “Tutto ha funzionato perfettamente e in
Grecia abbiamo dimostrato ancora una volta il valore
del Team. 13 titoli sui 15 a cui il Team ha preso parte
in tre anni, sono la nostra carta d’identità ed il nostro
orgoglio”. Con questa gara la 500 EcoAbarth a metano
con impianto Cavagna-Bigas è probabilmente l’Abarth
più vittoriosa del marchio. Il Team è già al lavoro per il
2015 e certamente ci riserverà altre soddisfazioni.
The Ecomotori Racing Team’s CNG-converted Fiat
500 EcoAbarth, driven by Massimo Liverani, has won
the prestigious title of 2014 World Champion in the
Drivers’ and Manufacturers’ categories. The last race
(Hi-Tech EKO-Mobility Rally) played a crucial role in
determining the final results. It was held in Greece at
the beginning of October, on a course of more than 500
km from Nea Filadelphia to Athens and back. Despite
being subjected to extreme stress, the CavagnaBigas CNG conversion kit worked to perfection,
reaffirming once again that CNG is every bit as
good as any other kind of fuel. Ecomotori Racing
Team Manager Nicola Ventura had this to say on the
win: “For the third year in a row, we’re at the top of the
World Championship. Everything worked perfectly and
in Greece we proved the value of our team once again.
We’ve won 13 out of the 15 races that the team has
taken part in over the last three years, so winning is our
identity and we are proud of it.” This race has shown
that the 500 EcoAbarth, equipped with a Cavagna-Bigas
CNG conversion kit, is probably the most successful of
the Abarth brand. The Team is already at work for 2015
and there are sure to be new surprises in store.
