Davide Basile has a master degree in Prehistory, Quaternary and Archaeology at the University of
Ferrara, Italy, double degree with the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, Portugal.
He graduated in 2013 with a thesis titled: “Study upon the vegetal charred macroremains from the A9
layers of Grotta di Fumane” , where he analized charcoals from the Mousterian layer A9 from Grotta di
Fumane, to reconstruct the landscape and the wood economy of the inhabitants of the valley
He partecipated in diffrent excavations, particularly at Fumane Cave and in others sites in
Italy and abroad, from different periods, he is now collaborating with the Archaeobiological laboratory
of Musei Civici di Como.
