The SCUDERIA MANTOVA CORSE A.S.D., holder of the license nr. 64361, calls and organizes, on 17 18 - 19 – 20 September 2015, a classical regularity event for historical cars named: PREMIO
NUVOLARI 2015.
The belonging zone of the event is 1. The competition will take place in 3 days.
The event is registered in the international F.I.A. and F.I.V.A. agenda.
ART. 4 - CARS ADMITTED
Cars admitted are those belonging to the following classification periods:
- Classification period C (built from 1919 to 1930)
- Classification period D (built from 1931 to 1946)
- Classification period E (built from 1947 to 1961)
- Classification period F (built from 1962 to 1965)
- Classification period G (built from 1966 to 1969)
Each car will be included in the period according to the year of construction. Cars are going to be organized
into the following groups:
Group 1: Cars belonging to the classification periods C and D (built from 1919 to 1946)
Group 2: Cars belonging to the classification period E (built from 1947 to 1957)
Group 3: Cars belonging to the classification period E (built from 1958 to 1961)
Group 4: Cars belonging to the classification period F (built from 1962 to 1965)
Group 5: Cars belonging to the classification period G (built from 1966 to 1969)
ART. 4.1 - BONUS
A bonus is provided for each competitor. At the end of each one of the three days of the race, the worst
result obtained by each crew in all trials (chronometrical trials “P.C.” and average trials “P.M.”) will not be
counted in the final sum of penalties. Among the three worst results, just one can reach 300 penalties.
ART. 4.2 –“Nuvolari” COEFFICIENT
In 2000 Mantova Corse developed a method to award the performance of competitors, related to the
seniority of the cars. Since then, this simple system, now renamed “Nuvolari Coefficient”, is widely adopted
in the world of old cars by organizers and sports Federations.
“Nuvolari Coefficients” will be stated in order to transform the penalties obtained by each crew during the
competition. The coefficient of every single car is given according to the following computation:
1+ year of construction of the car/100
The final sum of penalties obtained by each crew is multiplied by the coefficient assigned to each car.
1st Example
2nd Example
Year of construction of the car: 1927
Year of construction of the car: 1969
Car coefficient: (1+27/100)=1,27
Car coefficient: (1+69/100)=1,69
Hypothetical penalties obtained by the competitor: 500
Hypothetical penalties obtained by the
competitor: 500
Final score: 500 x 1,27 = 635
Final score: 500 x 1,69 = 845
ART. 5 - ROUTE
The route is 1.065 Km long and it will be described on the schedule of times and distances enclosed to the
present particular regulations, of which it is a part, and on the Road Book. The schedule of times and
distances will point out the development of the chronometrical trials.
There will be nr. 81 chronometrical trials (P.C.), nr. 6 average trials (P.M.), nr. 6 time checks (C.O.) and nr.
21 stamp checks (C.T.).
The event will start in Mantua, on September 18th at 13 pm and will end in Mantua, on September
20st at 1:20 pm.
The event will take place on roads open to normal traffic with an average speed of 50/km maximum.
ART 5.1 – START
During the three-day event, the starting stage will be given separately, the car stopped with the engine
running, to three cars per minute, with a fixed interval of 20 seconds from the following car.
ART. 5.2 – EVENT EXECUTION
Passage time checks (C.O.) will be recorded by the use of a pressure switch connected to the writing device.
The transit time will coincide with the closing time (per minute) of the preceding area and the starting time
of the following area. The crew will be considered on time if it passes at the exact C.O., at reference time
(hour and minute): 60 seconds, from second “0” to second “59”.
The survey of the chronometrical trials (P.C.) will be measured with a pressure switch connected to the
writing device, at the 1/100 second, without any tolerance. Entries will be free.
The start survey of the average trials (P.M.) are measured with a pressure switch connected to the writing
device. The average is measured between the begin and the end of the trial in many points, that are
unknown to the competitors. The exit time is measured manually at the second with the writing device. The
number of surveys done for each trial and the average to be respected will be written on the Time&Distance
Table and on the Schedule. The road book contains the theoretical maximum limit at the end of the average
trial.
ART. 5.3 – Giorgio and Alberto Nuvolari Cup, Ciano Cup, Luigi Arcangeli Cup
Three famous car events, in which Tazio Nuvolari was the protagonist, will be reminded during the 25th
modern edition of the Nuvolari GP.
Giorgio and Alberto Nuvolari Cup: on 18th Sept., during the 1st stage in Mantova. It consists of 7
chronometrical trials (P.C. 1 – P.C. 7)
Ciano Cup: on 19th Sept., during the 2nd stage in Montenero Circuit in Livorno. It consists of 7 chronometrical
trials (P.C. 34 – P.C. 40)

(P.C. 69 – P.C. 74) and 1 average trial (P.M. 6).
Each of this 3 Cups will produce a separated rank. The rank is determined by the sum of the penalties cited
above, considering neither the Bonus (art. 4.1) nor the Nuvolari Coefficient (art. 4.2).
These races are included in the general Premio Nuvolari 2015 rank. In this case, the Nuvolari Coefficient and
the Bonus will be surely taken into account (art. 4.2).

achievement of 15’ min (maximum time limit).
