It is renowned for its excellence both in teaching and research activities and it offers cultural and
educational projects with several important new features. It has the authority and efficacy to affirm
itself in both national and international levels.
The Department has different Bachelor and Master degree courses and post-graduate training
structures (research doctorates, masters, etc.)

In our Department, the main campus building is Palazzo Wollenborg.
It is one of the oldest and most important building of Padova and it is
placed in Via Del Santo n. 28.

DEGREE PROGRAMS:
The Department of Political Sciences currently offers four first-cycle degree courses
and five second-cycle degree courses.
At the undergraduate level, the Bachelor degrees (Laurea Triennale) are:

Political Sciences, International Relations, Human Rights - SRD

Political Sciences, International Studies, Public Administration- SSG

Social Work (for Welfare Officer)- SES

ACCADEMIC CALENDER 2014/2015
All courses are organised in semesters. Each semester includes 15 weeks of classes.
Lectures in the First Semester are from 22nd September 2014 to 24th January 2015
Lectures in the Second Semester are from 2nd March 2015 to 12th June 2015

TUTOR JUNIOR OFFICE

Tutors are students with an excellent academic carrier, who use their spare time to help other
students.

and they help students to solve problems and assist them in facing difficulties
(timetables, exams, relationships with academic bodies and with the secretary’s office,

Lectures
Bachelor and Master courses are based on frontal lectures given
by the professors. Some classes may require an active
participation of the students with presentations or discussions.
The courses attendance is strongly recommended.
Study material
The titles of the textbooks are given by the professor at the beginning of the lecture
and can be found on syllabus of the course. (http://it.didattica.unipd.it/)
Further reading materials can also be available on the Moodle platform, before or
during the course.
Exams
Assessments are based on: oral and / or written exams. In some case, professor
may ask students to prepare short papers or oral presentations in class (in addition to
the written/oral exam).

MOODLE PLATFORM- Spgi
The Department SPGI uses the MOODLE Platform for distance learning and study materials.
In the Moodle platform students can find study materials useful to prepare the exam.
For example: slides, essays, reports and additional readings.
To download the material you should:
1.Enter in the platform: https://elearning.unipd.it/spgi and click on login (on the top of the page)
2.Click on:

5.Click on the name of the course you are attending to download the study materials. (In some

How to borrow a book:
All Univeristy students are automatically entitled to free borrowing from
the University's libraries.
Once found the book, the student has to take it to the Library Helpdesk
where, on production of the magnetic card/student badge, staff will
issue the book.
The number of volumes you can borrow are 5
Use the Library Catalogue:

The volumes lost or damaged (even
