News Fall/Winter 2014-2015
The new Lak Collection by IVORY was presented during the 2014 Design Week in Milan
and now it is back ready for the 2014-2015 Fall/Winter Season. The Lak Collection is
richer than ever because we have introduced new colours, new products, new and improved
materials that increasingly match the tailor-made concept proposed by IVORY.
The Lak Collection exploits once again the lacquer theme that was firstly
anticipated in the Huxley trunk – lacquered and in a rich orange nuance – and now it
introduces the first series of trays/coffee tables made of lacquered Cristalplant.
The new trays are called Ballard and Bradley. They can be placed on a base and be selfstanding. They were designed on the basis of a new reading of De Rllliet’s baroque lines that
have been replaced by geometrical carvings, gleanings, concave and convex volumes hereby
turning what looked like an initial gamble into an original project able to bring to a higher
level the idea of surface engraving that is always present in IVORY’s world.
Therefore the result are two trays stemming from the same idea but characterized by
different lines: Ballard is oval while Bradley is rectangular and available in three different
sizes.
They are available in a range of 10 complementary colours that are
intentionally opaque and a series of gradients. With My Ivory personalization
programme Ballard and Bradley will be made in the colour of your choice.

Another new item in the Lak Collection is the Orhan cupboard.
It is completely made of Canaletto walnut and is available in four basic
nuances that you will be able to further personalize with My Ivory programme.
The main feature of Orhan are the visible doors covered with an engraved panel where the
double mesh of tridimensionality is discreet and natural. This is an aesthetic detail referring
to the organization of drawers that have a leather finish in the same colour as the base - an
easel made of oxidised tube-shaped metal. Oran was first designed in four 240 x 50 cm
elements but now it is also available in the 180 cm or 90 cm version.

Dopo essere stata presentata a Milano durante la Design Week 2014, la nuova Lak
Collection di IVORY ritorna per la stagione autunno/inverno ’14-’15 più ricca che
mai grazie alla presenza di nuovi colori, nuovi prodotti e all’applicazione di nuovi
materiali sempre più performanti e sempre più aderenti all’idea di tailor-made proposta
dall’azienda.
Riprendendo il tema delle lacche anticipato per la prima volta con il baule Huxley,
laccato e colorato da un’intensa nuance arancione, Lak Collection propone
oggi una prima serie di vassoi/coffee table realizzati in Cristalplant laccato.

Progettati per poter essere collocati su una base e avere un appoggio autonomo,
Ballard e Bradley – questi i nomi dei nuovi vassoi - sono stati concepiti rileggendo
le linee d’ispirazione barocca di De Rilliet sostituendole con intagli geometrici,
spigolature, volumi concavi e convessi trasformando, quello che era sembrato
un azzardo iniziale, in un progetto originale capace di portare ad un livello
superiore l’idea di incisione delle superfici da sempre presente nel mondo Ivory.
Una stessa idea per due vassoi caratterizzati da linee diverse: ovale Ballard, rettangolare e
declinato in tre dimensioni Bradley.
Disponibili in una palette di 10 colori complementari volutamente opachi e una
serie di gradienti, grazie al programma di personalizzazione del prodotto My
Ivory, Ballard e Bradley potranno essere realizzati nella colorazione richiesta.
Altra new entry nella collezione Lak è la nuova credenza Orhan.
Interamente realizzata in noce Canaletto e declinata in quattro nuance di base - che
potranno essere ulteriormente personalizzate con il programma My Ivory – Orhan si
caratterizza per le ante “in luce” rivestite con un pannello inciso dove la doppia maglia
della tridimensionalità risulta discreta e naturale. Un dettaglio estetico che rimanda
all’organizzazione dei cassetti con finiture in cuoietto in tinta con il piede, un cavalletto
realizzato in tubolare metallico ossidato.
Concepita in 4 moduli da 240 x 50 cm, Orhan può essere realizzato anche nella versione
da 180 cm e 90 cm.
