DESCRIZIONE DEL PRODOTTO
MczControl è un terminale GSM civile per supervisione
e controllo di stufe MCZ per mezzo delle funzioni
avanzate disponibili attraverso la rete GSM.
Interfacce, connessioni ed il lettore integrato per SIM
card rendono questo terminale GSM di uso rapido e
semplice in ambito domestico.
Non usate prodotti chimici per la pulizia della SIM card
o di MczControl.

MCZ garantisce i propri prodotti per due anni dalla data
di costruzione, riservandosi di riparare e/o sostituire i
prodotti o le parti difettose per materiale e/o per
costruzione o che risultino difformi dalle specifiche o
dall'ordine. Non è fornita alcuna ulteriore garanzia
esplicita o implicita né alcuna copertura per mancati
profitti.
In nessun caso MCZ potrà essere ritenuta
responsabile per conseguenze o danni di
qualsiasi natura che derivino dall'uso dei propri
prodotti.
MANUTENZIONE
Maneggiate la SIM card con cura. Non piegate né
graffiate la SIM card ed evitate di esporla ad elettricità
statica.
Non installare MCZControl in prossimità di dispositivi
medicali come pacemaker o protesi acustiche,
MczControl può interferire con il funzionamento di
questi dispositivi.
Non installare MczControl in prossimità di stazioni
petrolifere, depositi di carburante, impianti chimici o siti
di esplosione quando MczControl può disturbare il
funzionamento di apparati tecnici.
MczControl può generare interferenze se impiegato in
prossimità di apparati televisivi, radio o personal
computer.
Al fine di evitare possibili danneggiamenti si
raccomanda l'impiego degli accessori testati e
specificati come compatibili con MczControl. La
garanzia non copre alcuno di questi accessori.
MczControl è sottoposto ad un collaudo funzionale
completo.

MczControl impiega una batteria Li-Ion interna

Il cavo tra MczControl e la stufa deve essere di
fornitura MCZ: qualora il cavo di corredo non fosse di
lunghezza sufficiente, acquistare il cavo a catalogo di
lunghezza maggiore. Nel cavo di collegamento le
alimentazioni ed i segnali sono a Bassissima Tensione
di Sicurezza (SELV - Safety Extremely Low Voltage)
MczControl deve essere montato tramite apposita staffa
fornita sul retro della stufa. Qualora la posizione non
consentisse un buon collegamento GSM montarlo a
parete, eventualmente utilizzando il cavo (accessorio a
richiesta) di lunghezza maggiore.
La sicurezza elettrica in caso di guasto è assicurata da
un fusibile interno ed apposite protezioni provvedono

CONNESSIONI
MczControl dispone di una unica presa RJ11 in cui sono
riportati le seguenti linee di alimentazione e
comunicazione seriale optoisolata per il controllo della
stufa MCZ:
1. alimentazione esterna per caricabatteria
2. Ingresso dati RXD+
3. Uscita dati TXD+
4. Uscita dati TXD5. Ingresso dati RXD6. alimentazione esterna per caricabatteria
SIM CARD
L’alloggiamento della SIM card è adatto a SIM card da
3V conformi all’uso di MczControl secondo GSM 11.14
phase 2 (SIM con memorie di almeno 32 kB).
La
SIM
card
deve
essere
inserita
nell’alloggiamento per attivare il funzionamento
di MczControl.
La SIM card da inserire deve essere preventivamente
configurata per il servizio SMS (ad es. inserendola in un
telefono cellulare e configurandola tramite questo).
Alcuni operatori GSM forniscono SIM card già
configurate con il numero del Centro Servizi,
necessario per l’invio dei messaggi SMS.
MczControl non prevede l’uso del PIN. La SIM card
deve essere configurata disabilitando la richiesta del
PIN (per disabilitare il PIN entrare nelle impostazioni
del cellulare). La SIM card sarà utilizzabile e leggibile
da chiunque.
La SIM card deve essere attiva per il traffico
telefonico e deve contenere una ricarica
sufficiente ad inviare i messaggi di testo (SMS)
per comunicare con l’utente.

1. CONCETTO DI FUNZIONAMENTO
L’accessorio opzionale MCZControl - Modem GSM, permette di
accendere, spegnere e regolare la potenza di funzionamento della
Vostra apparecchiatura, inviandogli un breve messaggio SMS (Short
Message Service) con il vostro telefono cellulare GSM. Per poter
utilizzare tale dispositivo è necessario acquistare da un operatore
telefonico qualsiasi una SIM Card (eccetto per l’operatore “3”
che non è compatibile). La SIM Card possiede ovviamente un suo
numero telefonico a cui inviare gli SMS. MCZControl attuerà i vostri
comandi e risponderà agli SMS inviati, comunicando lo stato di
funzionamento dell’apparecchiatura.

3. MONTAGGIO
3.1. Montaggio della staffa di supporto e cablaggio del modem
3.1.1. Versione A
Avvitare sulla schiena della stufa o sulla parete più
vicina all’apparecchio, la staffa di ancoraggio del
modem, utilizzando le due viti in dotazione se si decide
di avvitare la staffa alla stufa, oppure due viti con
tasselli tipo “Fischer”, se si decide di fissare la staffa al
muro.

Il cavo di collegamento è munito di doppini telefonici
da entrambe le estremità. Inserire nel modem una
estremità del cavo e sul connettore JB del pannello
posteriore della stufa, l’altra estremità.

3.1.2. Versione B
Avvitare sulla schiena della stufa o sulla parete più
vicina all’apparecchio, la staffa di ancoraggio del
modem, utilizzando le due viti in dotazione se si
decide di avvitare la staffa alla stufa, oppure due viti
con tasselli tipo “Fischer”, se si decide di fissare la
staffa al muro.

Il cavo di collegamento è munito di doppini telefonici da
entrambe le estremità. Inserire nel modem una estremità
del cavo e sul connettore B del pannello della stufa, l’altra
estremità. Prima di collegare l’estremità B alla scheda far
passare il cavo attraverso il foro A.

3.2. Inserimento della SIM Card e ancoraggio alla staffa
Prima di collegare il modem alla stufa, ricordarsi di
inserire sempre la scheda SIM Card acquistata dal
Vostro operatore telefonico di fiducia, nell’apposita
feritoia, rispettando il verso indicato sul pannello e
premendo fino allo scatto di ritenuta.
Per ancorare il modem alla sua staffa montata in
precedenza, operare come illustrato in figura

4. FUNZIONAMENTO
4.1. INDICATORI DI STATO
Sul pannello frontale sono presenti un led giallo LINK (indicazione stato GSM) ed un led verde STAT (indicazione
stato stufa MCZ).

4.2. PULSANTI DI COMANDO
Sul pannello frontale è presente una fessura per accedere al pulsante interno di reset.
4.3. ALIMENTAZIONE E BATTERIA INTERNA
Pur essendo dotato di batteria interna l’operatività è completamente disabilitata nel caso non fosse presente la
connessione con la stufa, che garantisce anche la sorgente di alimentazione per il caricabatteria interno. Quando
MczControl, inizialmente spento, viene connesso alla stufa MCZ (verificare che la SIM sia già stata inserita), si
accende automaticamente (il led LINK inizia a lampeggiare velocemente) attivando la carica della batteria interna.
Al primo utilizzo si consiglia di lasciare il modem in carica per un periodo di 8 ore.
Se il livello di tensione della batteria è sufficiente, viene attivata la ricerca della rete GSM con un timeout di 60
secondi. Una volta registrato, MczControl si pone in attesa ricezione messaggi SMS di comando (in formato testo).

Nel caso MczControl fosse disconnesso dalla stufa, viene atteso un tempo massimo di 40 secondi, alla scadenza del
quale MczControl si spegne automaticamente, salvaguardando la carica della batteria interna.
4.4. FUNZIONI OPERATIVE
Con il proprio telefono cellulare inviare un SMS al numero di telefono indicato sulla scheda SIM inserita all’interno
di MCZControl. Il messaggio deve avere una sintassi precisa che qui di seguito indichiamo (il modem non è
sensibile alle maiuscole/minuscole):

La procedura si articola nelle seguenti fasi:
• Se il comando ricevuto viene riconosciuto valido, il numero telefonico del mittente viene memorizzato e
aggiornato e viene inviato alla stufa il comando seriale per accenderla/spegnerla o regolarla.
• Viene inviato uno squillo di avviso ricevimento al numero telefonico del mittente memorizzato.
• Trascorsi 15s vengono effettuati un massimo di 3 tentativi di richieste di stato verso la stufa, intervallati 3
secondi l'uno dall'altro. Quando lo stato della stufa corrisponde al comando ricevuto, viene inviato un
messaggio SMS di conferma dell’avvenuto comando. Se la stufa si trova in stato di allarme bloccante, l’sms
di risposta informa della presenza e del tipo di allarme.
• Se la stufa non riceve il comando (ad es. per problemi di rete), non viene inviato l’SMS di risposta e quindi
il comando deve ritenersi NON eseguito.
• L’SMS ricevuto dalla SIM card del MCZControl, viene cancellato subito dopo l’esecuzione e il modem ritorna
in attesa di ricezione SMS.
Tra una richiesta di comando (SMS) e la successiva attendere un minimo intervallo di 3
minuti per permettere al modem di eseguire tutta la procedura prevista dal protocollo di
comunicazione.

Se lo switch del pannellino di emergenza è posto in OFF la stufa non ascolta i comandi
provenienti dal modem, quindi l’utente non riceverà mai un SMS di conferma del comando
eseguito.

4.5. NOTE DI FUNZIONAMENTO
Quando la stufa riceve un comando via SMS, lo esegue e si imposta in modalità di funzionamento da modem; il
radiocomando riprende la priorità non appena l’utente lo impugna e invia un comando alla stufa.
Es: se la stufa è accesa, e riceve un comando di OFF dal modem, si spegne anche se il telecomando continua a
rimanere acceso. Analogo discorso quando la stufa è spenta, riceve un comando di ON dal modem e si accende
anche se il telecomando rimane spento.
4.6. Informazioni generali sul funzionamento
Verificare che la SIM sia inserita nel modem prima di collegarlo alla stufa.
Accertarsi sempre che all’interno della scheda SIM pre-pagata sia ci sia sempre del credito
residuo sufficiente altrimenti il modem non può inoltrare SMS di risposta.
L’apparecchiatura può essere accesa da telefono cellulare solo in modalità MANUALE e
non automatica ed è possibile scegliere la potenza della fiamma o la potenza della
ventilazione. Per qualsiasi informazione di funzionamento dell’apparecchiatura consultare
e fare riferimento al manuale in dotazione con quest’ultima.

wie Herzschrittmacher oder Hörprothesen installieren.
MCZControl

installieren, da MczControl den Betrieb technischer Geräte
stören kann.
MczControl kann Interferenzen erzeugen, wenn es in der
Nähe von Fernsehgeräten, Radios oder Computern
benutzt wird.
Um mögliche Schäden zu vermeiden, wird der Einsatz der
getesteten Zubehörteile empfohlen, die als kompatibel
mit MczControl gekennzeichnet sind. Die Garantie deckt
dieses Zubehör nicht ab.
MczControl wird einem vollständigen Betriebsendtest
unterzogen. Die Spezifikationen basieren auf der
Charakterisierung der getesteten Stichprobeneinheiten.

MczControl muss von fachmännischem Personal installiert
werden.
MczControl kann nur an spezifischen Modellen der MCZHeizöfen, genauer gesagt, denen die über die
Technologie ACTIVE SYSTEM verfügen, benutzt werden.
MczControl benutzt eine interne wiederaufladbare Li-IonBatterie: halten Sie sich an die spezifischen Vorschriften.
Das Kabel zwischen MczControl und dem Heizofen muss
von MCZ geliefert werden: falls das mitgelieferte Kabel
nicht lang genug sein sollte, ein längeres Kabel aus dem
Katalog bestellen. Im Anschlusskabel sind die Speisungen
und die Signale von Niedrigster Sicherheitsspannung
(SELV - Safety Extremely Low Voltage)
MczControl muss mit dem vorgesehenen mitgelieferten
Bügel an der Rückseite des Heizofens montiert werden.
Falls die Position keine gute GSM-Verbindung zulässt,
MczControl an der Wand montieren. Dabei ein längeres
Kabel (optionales Zubehör) benutzen.
Die elektrische Sicherheit im Falle von Störungen wird
durch eine interne Sicherung gewährleistet und eigene

Schutzvorrichtungen schützen vor Überspannungen in der
externen Stromversorgung.
ANSCHLÜSSE
MczControl verfügt über einen einzigen RJ11Steckverbinder, an dem sich folgenden Leitungen für die
Speisung und die serielle optoisolierte Kommunikation für
die Steuerung des MCZ-Heizofens befinden.

SIM-KARTE
Der SIM-Kartensitz ist für SIM-Karten zu 3V geeignet, die
mit dem Gebrauch von MczControl gemäß GSM 11.14
Phase 2 konform sind (SIM mit Speicher von mindestens
32 kB).
Die SIM-Karte muss in den Sitz eingeführt
werden, um den Betrieb von MczControl zu
aktivieren.
Die einzusetzende SIM-Karte muss zuvor für das SMSService konfiguriert werden (z.B. indem sie in ein
Mobiltelefon eingesetzt und mit diesem konfiguriert wird).
Einige GSM-Anbieter liefern bereits mit der Nummer der
Servicezentrale für das Senden von SMS-Nachrichten
konfigurierte SIM-Karten.
MczControl sieht keine Eingabe eines PIN-Codes vor. Die
SIM-Karte muss konfiguriert werden, indem die PINAbfrage deaktiviert wird (Zum Sperren der PIN die
Einstellungen des Mobiltelefons aufrufen).
Die SIM-Karte kann von jedem benutzt und gelesen
werden.
Die SIM-Karte muss für den Telefonverkehr
aktiviert und entsprechend aufgeladen sein, um
Textnachrichten (SMS) zur Kommunikation mit
dem Benutzer versenden zu können.

1. BETRIEBSKONZEPT
Das optionale Zubehör MCZControl - GSM-Modem gestattet das Einschalten, Ausschalten und die Einstellung
der Leistung Ihres Geräts durch Senden einer kurzen SMS-Nachricht (Short Message Service) mit Ihren GSMMobiltelefon. Um dieses Gerät zu benutzen, muss man von irgendeinem beliebigen Telefonanbieter (mit
Ausnahme des Anbieters "3", der nicht kompatibel ist) eine SIM-Karte erwerben. Die SIM-Karte besitzt

3.1. Montage des Haltebügels und Verkabelung des Modems
3.1.1. Ausführung A
Den Verankerungsbügel des Modems auf der Rückwand des
Heizofens oder an der dem Gerät am nächsten liegenden
Wand befestigen. Dazu die zwei mitgelieferten Schrauben
befestigen, wenn man den Bügel am Heizofen befestigen
möchte, oder die zwei Schrauben mit Fischerdübeln benutzen,
wenn man den Bügel an der Wand befestigen möchte.

3.2. Einsetzen der SIM-Karte und Verankerung am Bügel
Bevor das Modem am Heizofen angeschlossen wird, daran
denken immer die vom Telefonanbieter Ihres Vertrauens
erworbene SIM-Karte in den vorgesehenen Schlitz
einzusetzen. Dabei die auf dem Paneel angegebene
Richtung einhalten und bis zum Einschnappen drücken.
Um das Modem an seinem zuvor montierten Bügel zu
verankern, wie auf der Abbildung dargestellt vorgehen.
Um die SIM-Karte zu entnehmen, erneut drücken.
4. ARBEITSWEISE
4.1. STATUSANZEIGEN
Auf dem Frontpaneel befinden sich eine gelbe Led LINK (Statusanzeige GSM) und eine grüne Led STAT (Statusanzeige
des MCZ-Heizofens).

4.2. BEFEHLSTASTEN
Auf dem Frontpaneel befindet sich eine Öffnung, um auf die interne Rücksetztaste zuzugreifen.
4.3. STROMVERSORGUNG UND INTERNE BATTERIE
Obwohl eine interne Batterie vorhanden ist, wird der Betrieb vollkommen deaktiviert, falls keine Verbindung mit dem
Heizofen vorhanden ist, die auch die Stromversorgungsquelle für das interne Batterieladegerät garantiert. Wenn das
anfänglich ausgeschaltete MczControl an den MCZ-Heizofen angeschlossen wird (sicherstellen, dass die SIM-Karte bereits
eingesetzt wurde), schaltet es sich automatisch ein (die Led LINK beginnt schnell zu blinken) und aktiviert das Laden der
internen Batterie.
Bei der ersten Benutzung wird empfohlen, das Modem für eine Dauer von 8 Stunden laden zu lassen.

Wenn das Spannungsniveau der Batterie ausreichend ist, wird die Suche des GSM-Netzes mit einem Timeout von 60
Sekunden aktiviert. Wenn MczControl registriert ist, stellt es sich auf Standby in Erwartung des Erhalts von SMSNachrichten mit Befehlen (in Textformat).
Falls MczControl vom Heizofen abgetrennt werden sollte, wird eine maximale Zeit von 40 Sekunden aktiviert. Nach deren
Ablauf schaltet sich MczControl automatisch ab, um die Ladung der internen Batterie zu bewahren.
4.4. BETRIEBSFUNKTIONEN
Mit dem eigenen Mobiltelefon ein SMS an die Telefonnummer schicken, die auf der SIM-Karte angegeben ist, die in das
MCZControl eingesetzt wurde. Die Nachricht muss eine genaue Syntax haben, die in der Folge angegeben wird (das
Modem unterscheidet Groß- und Kleinschreibung nicht):

Das Verfahren enthält die folgenden Phasen:
• Wenn der empfangene Befehl als gültig anerkannt wird, wird die Telefonnummer des Senders gespeichert und
aktualisiert und an den Heizofen der serielle Befehl für das Einschalten/Ausschalten oder die Regelung gesendet.
• Es wird ein Klingelton als Empfangsbestätigung an den gespeicherten Sender gesendet.
• Nach 15 s werden maximal 3 Versuche einer Statusabfrage an den Heizofen gesendet, in Abständen von 3
Sekunden voneinander. Wenn der Heizofenstatus dem empfangenen Befehl entspricht, wird eine SMS-Nachricht
zur Bestätigung der Befehlsausführung gesendet. Wenn der Heizofen sich in Alarmsperre befindet, informiert die
SMS-Antwort über die Art des Alarms.
• Wenn der Heizofen den Befehl nicht empfängt (z.B. wegen Netzproblemen) wird keine SMS-Antwort gesendet und
der Befehl muss deshalb als NICHT ausgeführt betrachtet werden.
• Das von der SIM-Karte des MCZControl empfangene SMS wird sofort nach der Ausführung gelöscht, und das
Modem kehrt in Standby für SMS-Empfang zurück.
Zwischen einem Befehl (SMS) und dem nächsten mindesten 3 Minuten warten, damit das
Modem die gesamte Prozedur, die vom Kommunikationsprotokoll vorgesehen ist,
ausführen kann.

Wenn der Schalter des Notpaneels auf OFF geschalten ist, befolgt der Heizofen die vom
Modem kommenden Befehle nicht. Der Benutzer erhält deshalb nie ein Bestätigungs-SMS
des ausgeführten Befehls.
4.5. HINWEISE ZUM BETRIEB
Wenn der Heizofen einen Befehl über SMS erhält, führt er diesen aus und stellt sich auf den Betriebsmodus gemäß
Modem ein. Die Funksteuerung erhält die Priorität wieder, sobald der Bediener sie in die Hand nimmt und einen
Befehl an den Heizofen schickt.
Bsp.: Wenn der Heizofen eingeschalten ist und einen OFF-Befehl vom Modem erhält, schaltet er sich aus, auch
wenn die Fernbedienung weiter eingeschalten bleibt. Genauso, wenn der Heizofen ausgeschalten ist: er erhält
einen ON-Befehl vom Modem und schaltet sich ein, auch wenn die Fernbedienung ausgeschalten bleibt.
4.6. Allgemeine Informationen zum Betrieb
Sicherstellen, dass die SIM-Karte im Modem eingesetzt ist, bevor dieses an den Heizofen
angeschlossen wird.
Immer sicherstellen, dass sich immer ein ausreichendes Restguthaben auf der
aufladbaren SIM-Karte befindet. Andernfalls kann das Modem keine SMS-Antworten
schicken.
Das Gerät kann vom Mobiltelefon nur im Modus MANUELL und nicht in automatisch
eingeschalten werde, und es können die Flammenleistung oder die Lüftungsleistung
gewählt werden. Für jedwede Information zum Betrieb des Geräts das mitgelieferte
Handbuch heranziehen.

INSTALLATION
MczControl ne doit être installé que par du personnel
qualifié.
MczControl ne peut être utilisé que sur certains
modèles spécifiques de poêles MCZ, plus précisément
sur les poêles disposant de la technologie ACTIVE
SYSTEM
MczControl fonctionne avec une batterie interne Li-Ion
rechargeable : suivre les prescriptions spécifiques.
Pour la connexion entre MczControl et le poêle, utiliser
uniquement le câble fourni par MCZ : si le câble fourni
n'est pas suffisamment long, consulter le catalogue et
acheter un câble de longueur adéquate. Le câble de
connexion est à alimentations et signaux TBTS (Très
Basse Tension de Sécurité)
MczControl doit être monté en utilisant l'étrier prévu à
cet effet situé au dos du poêle. Si cette position ne
devait pas permettre une bonne réception GSM, il est
possible de le monter sur le mur en utilisant au besoin
un câble de longueur supérieure (accessoire sur
demande).

CARTE SIM
Le logement de la carte SIM est adapté aux cartes SIM
de 3V conformes à l'utilisation de MczControl selon GSM
11.14 phase 2 (SIM à mémoire d'au moins 32 Ko).
La carte SIM doit être insérée dans son logement
pour pouvoir activer le fonctionnement de
MczControl.
Avant d'insérer la carte, il faut d'abord la configurer pour
le service SMS (par exemple, l'insérer sur un téléphone
mobile et la configurer avec ce dernier). Certains
opérateurs GSM fournissent des cartes SIM déjà
configurées avec le numéro du Centre de Services
nécessaire pour l'envoi des messages SMS.
MczControl ne prévoit aucune utilisation de code PIN. La
carte SIM doit être configurée en désactivant la saisie du
code PIN (pour désactiver le PIN, entrer dans les
configurations du téléphone mobile).
La carte SIM pourra être utilisée et lue par quiconque.
La carte SIM doit être habilitée au trafic
téléphonique et disposer d'un solde suffisant
pour envoyer les messages de texte (SMS) et
donc communiquer avec l'utilisateur.

1. PRINCIPE DE FONCTIONNEMENT
L’accessoire MCZControl - Modem GSM permet d'allumer, éteindre
et réguler la puissance de fonctionnement de votre appareil, par l'envoi
de message SMS (Short Message Service) à partir de votre téléphone
mobile GSM. Pour utiliser ce dispositif, il est nécessaire d'acheter
une carte SIM auprès d'un gestionnaire de téléphone
(exceptées les carte de l'opérateur “3” qui ne sont pas
compatibles). La carte SIM dispose bien sûr d'un propre numéro de
téléphone auquel envoyer les SMS. MCZControl effectuera les
commandes reçues et répondra aux SMS envoyés en communiquant
l'état de fonctionnement de l’appareil.

3.1. Montage de l'étrier de support et câblage du modem
3.1.1. Version A
Visser l'étrier de fixation du modem au dos du poêle ou
sur un mur voisin à l'appareil. Utiliser les deux vis
fournies en dotation pour visser l'étrier au poêle, ou
utiliser deux vis et chevilles de type “Fischer” en cas de
fixation au mur.

Le câble de connexion est doté d'un connecteur
téléphonique à chaque extrémité. Insérer une
extrémité du câble sur le modem et l'autre sur le
connecteur JB situé sur le panneau arrière du poêle.

Visser l'étrier de fixation du modem au dos du poêle ou
sur un mur voisin à l'appareil. Utiliser les deux vis
fournies en dotation pour visser l'étrier au poêle, ou
utiliser deux vis et chevilles de type “Fischer” en cas de
fixation au mur.

Le câble de connexion est doté d'un connecteur
téléphonique à chaque extrémité. Insérer une
extrémité du câble sur le modem et l'autre sur le
connecteur B situé sur le panneau du poêle. Avant de
brancher l'extrémité à la carte B faire passer le câble
par l'orifice A.

3.2. Insertion de la carte SIM et fixation à l'étrier
Avant de connecter le modem au poêle, il faut toujours
insérer la carte SIM du gestionnaire de téléphone dans la
fente prévue à cet effet. Respecter le sens indiqué sur le
panneau et appuyer jusqu'au déclic de retenue.
Pour fixer le modem à l'étrier monté en précédence,
suivre les indications illustrées ci-dessus.
Réappuyer pour retirer la carte SIM.

4.2. TOUCHES DE COMMANDE
Une fente d'accès à la touche interne de reset est située sur le panneau frontal.
4.3. ALIMENTATION ET BATTERIE INTERNE
Bien qu'il soit doté de batterie interne, le fonctionnement est complètement désactivé en cas d'absence de connexion
avec le poêle, qui garantit aussi la source d'alimentation pour le chargeur de batterie interne. Lorsque l'on connecte
MczControl, initialement éteint, au poêle MCZ (vérifier que la SIM soit déjà insérée), MczControl s'allume
automatiquement (le voyant LINK se met à clignoter rapidement) et active la charge de la batterie interne.
Lors de la première mise en service, nous vous conseillons de laisser le modem se charger pendant au moins 8 heures.
Si le niveau de tension de la batterie est suffisant, la recherche de réseau GSM se met en fonction avec un timeout de
60 secondes. Une fois enregistré, MczControl se met en attente de réception de messages SMS de commande (en
format texte).

Si MczControl est déconnecté du poêle, MczControl s'éteint automatiquement après un temps maximum de 40
secondes, en sauvegardant la charge de la batterie interne.
4.4. MODALITÉS DE FONCTIONNEMENT
Envoyer un SMS à partir de votre téléphone mobile au numéro de téléphone indiqué sur la carte SIM placée à l'intérieur
de MCZControl. Le message doit avoir une syntaxe spécifique telle que reporté ci-dessous (le modem ne tient pas
compte des majuscules/minuscules) :

La procédure suit les phases suivantes :
• Si la commande reçue est reconnue valide, le numéro de téléphone de l'expéditeur est mémorisé et mis à jour,
puis la commande sérielle d'allumage/extinction ou de réglage est envoyée au poêle.
• Un signal d'avis de réception est envoyé au numéro de téléphone de l'expéditeur mémorisé.
• Après 15 s, 3 essais maximum de demandes d'état sont envoyées au poêle, ceci à intervalles de 3 secondes.
Quand l'état du poêle correspond à la commande reçue, un message SMS de confirmation de commande
exécutée est envoyé. Si le poêle est en état de blocage à cause d'une alarme, le SMS de réponse informe du
déclenchement d'alarme et en indique la nature.
• Si le poêle ne reçoit pas la commande (par exemple, problèmes de réseau), aucun SMS de réponse ne sera
envoyé et la commande devra donc être retenue comme NON exécutée.
• Le SMS reçu par la carte SIM du MCZControl est supprimé immédiatement après l’exécution de la commande et
le modem se replace en état d'attente de réception SMS.
Entre une demande de commande (SMS) et la suivante, attendre pendant un intervalle
minimum de 3 minutes pour permettre au modem d'effectuer toute la procédure prévue

Si le switch du tableau de secours est placé sur OFF, le poêle n'exécutera les commandes
provenant du modem, et l'utilisateur ne pourra donc pas recevoir de SMS de confirmation de
commande effectuée.
4.5. NOTES SUR LE FONCTIONNEMENT
Lorsque le poêle reçoit une commande via SMS, il l'exécute et se configure en modalité de fonctionnement via
modem ; la radiocommande reprendra la priorité dès que l'utilisateur l'utilisera et effectuera une commande au
poêle.
Ex : si le poêle est allumé et reçoit une commande de OFF de la part du modem, il s'éteint même si la
télécommande continue à rester allumée. De même, lorsque le poêle est éteint et reçoit une commande de ON de
la part du modem, il s'allume même si la télécommande continue à rester éteinte.
4.6. Informations générales sur le fonctionnement
Vérifier que la SIM soit insérée dans le modem avant de le connecter au poêle.
Vérifier toujours que la carte SIM prépayée dispose d'un solde suffisant, sinon le modem
ne pourra pas envoyer de SMS de réponse.
L’appareil peut être allumé via téléphone mobile uniquement en modalité MANUELLE et
non automatique, et il est possible de choisir la puissance de flamme et la puissance de
ventilation. Pour toute information sur le fonctionnement de l’appareil, consulter et se
référer au manuel fourni ensemble à l'appareil.

MAINTENANCE
Handle the SIM card with care. Do not bend or scratch
the SIM card and avoid exposing it to static electricity.
Do not use any chemical substances to clean the SIM
card or MczControl.
Do not remove any cover or markings from MczControl.
SAFETY WARNINGS
Do not install MCZControl close to medical equipment
like pacemakers or hearing aids. MCZControl can
interfere with the operations of this equipment.
Do not install MczControl close to petrol stations, fuel
depots, chemical plants or explosion sites where
MCZControl can disrupt the operation of technical
devices.
MczControl can generate interference if deployed close
to televisions, radios or personal computers.
In order to avoid potential damage it is recommended
the use of tested and specified accessories like those
compatible with MczControl. No accessories are
covered by the warranty.
MczControl is subject to a complete functional test. The
specifications are based on the characteristics of the
tested sample units and do not refer to measurements
carried out on each single unit.

MczControl is a civil GSM terminal for the supervision
and control of MCZ stoves through the use of advances
functions available through the GSM network.
The interfaces, connections and integrated SIM card
decoder make this rapid use and simple GSM terminal
in a domestic environment.

INSTALLATION
MczControl must be installed by qualified personnel.
MczControl can be used only on specific models of MCZ
stoves and specifically only on those equipped with
ACTIVE SYSTEM technology
MczControl uses an internal rechargable Li-Ion battery:
please adhere to the specific guidelines.
The cable connecting MczControl to the stove must be
that provided by MCZ: in cases where the supplied
cable is not of the correct length, purchase a cable of
greater length from the catalogue. In the connecting
cable the voltages and the signals are at Safety
Extremely Low Voltage (SELV)
MczControl must be installed using the appropriate
bracket provided at the rear of the stove. In cases
where the location does not allow a good GSM
connection wall-mount it using, where necessary, a
cable of greater length (non-standard accessory).
Electrical safety in the case of a fault is guaranteed by
an internal fuse and appropriate mechanisms provide
protection against external power surges.
The warranty does not cover improper use of the
equipment.

CONNECTIONS
MczControl is equipped with a single RJ11 socket
where the following power and serial optoisolated
comunication lines for the control of the MCZ stove are
present:
1. external power for battery charging
2. Data input RXD+
3. Data output TXD+
4. Data output TXD5. Data input RXD6. external power for battery charging
SIM CARD
The housing of the SIM card is suitable for 3V SIM
cards which comply with MczControl use according to
GSM 11.14 phase 2 (SIM with memory of at least 32
kB).
The SIM card must be inserted in the housing in
order to activate the operation of MCZControl.
The SIM card to be used must be preconfigured for
SMS (for example by inserting it in a mobile phone and
using this to configure it). Some GSM operators
provide SIM cards already configured with the Service
Centre number, necessary for sending SMS.
MczControl does not require a PIN. The SIM card must
be configured by deactivating the PIN request (disable
the PIN from the mobile phone settings).
The SIM card can be used and read by anyone.
The SIM card must be activated for voice traffic
and must contain sufficient credit in order to
send text messages (SMS) to communicate with
the user.

1. OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The optional accessory MCZControl - Modem GSM, allows the
switching on and off, and the adjustment of the operating power of
your equipment through an SMS from your GSM mobile phone. In
order to be able to use this device purchase a SIM Card from any
operator (except from “3” which is not compatible). The SIM
Card clearly has a number to which the SMS are sent. MCZControl will
execute your commands and will reply to the sent SMS by
communicating the operating state of the device.

3. ASSEMBLY
3.1. Installation of the supporting bracket and modem wiring
3.1.1. Version A
Screw the modem supporting bracket on the back of
the stove or on the nearest wall to the device using the
provided screws if the bracket is installed on the stove
or two expansion “Fischer” type screws if the bracket is
wall-mounted.

The connecting cable is equipped with twisted pairs on
both ends. Insert one end to the modem and the other
to the JB connector on the rear panel of the stove.

3.1.2. Version B
Screw the modem supporting bracket on the back of
the stove or on the nearest wall to the device using the
provided screws if the bracket is installed on the stove
or two expansion “Fischer” type screws if the bracket is
wall-mounted.

The connecting cable is equipped with twisted pairs on
both ends. Insert one end of the cable into the modem
and the other onto the B connector on the panel of the
stove. Before connecting the end to the B card, make
sure you thread the cable through hole A.

3.2. SIM Card insertion and bracket fastening
Prior to connecting the modem to the stove insert the
SIM Card in the appropriate slot, in the direction shown
on the panel and press until secured.
To fasten the modem to the bracket previously
mounted follow the instructions on the diagram
To remove the SIM card, press to release.
4. OPERATION
4.1. STATUS INDICATORS
On the front panel a yellow led LINK (GSM status indicator) and a green led STAT (MCZ stove status indicator)
are present.

4.2. CONTROL BUTTONS
On the front panel a slot to access the internal reset button is present.
4.3. POWER AND INTERNAL BATTERY
Even though the device is equipped with an internal battery operation is completely disabled when no connection is
present with the stove which is the source of power for the internal battery charging. When MczControl, initially
off, is connected to the MCZ stove (verify that the SIM has already been inserted), it switches on automatically
(the LINK led begins to flash rapidly) activating the charging of the internal battery.
On first use it is recommended to charge the modem for 8 hours.
If the battery power is sufficient the search of the GSM network is activated with a timeout of 60 seconds. Once
registered, MczControl is in a state ready to accept commands in the form SMS messages (in text format).
If MczControl is disconnected from the stove after a maximum of 40 seconds MCZControl switches itself off thus
saving battery life.

4.4. OPERATING FUNCTIONS
Send an SMS to the number of the SIM inserted in MCZControl through your mobile phone. The message must
have a precise syntax which will be indicated below (the modem is not Caps sensitive):

TESTING
The procedure is composed of the following phases:
• If the received command is deemed valid the number of the sender is saved and updated and the serial
command to switch on/off or adjust is sent to the stove.
• A received notification is sent to the number of the sender.
• After 15 seconds a maximum of 3 status requests are sent to the stove, at 3 second intervals. When the
status of the stove corresponds to the received command, an SMS is sent confirming the execution of the
command. If the stove is in an alarm blocking status, the return SMS will inform of the presence and type
of alarm.
• If the stove does not receive the command (for example due to network problems), the reply SMS is not
sent and the command is to be considered NOT executed.
• The SMS received by the SIM card of MCZControl is deleted immediately after execution and the modem
returns to "a ready to receive SMS" status.
Between a command request (SMS) and the next, wait at least three minutes to allow the
modem to carry out the entire procedure set out by the communication protocol.

If the switch of the small emergency panel is set to OFF the stove will ignore commands
from the modem and hence the user will not receive an SMS confirming the execution of
the command.

4.5. OPERATING PRINCIPLES
When the stove receives a command via SMS it executes it and sets itself in modem functionality mode; the
remote control is set to priority as soon as the user handles it and sends a command to the stove.
Eg: if the stove is on and receives an OFF command from the modem it switches itself off even though the remote
control remains switched on. The same applies when the stove is off and receives an ON command from the
modem in which case it switches on even though the remote control remains switched off.
4.6. General information on operation
Check that the SIM card is inserted in the modem before connecting it to the stove.
Ensure that the pre-paid SIM card has sufficient credit to allow the modem to send reply
SMS.
The equipment can be switched on by a mobile phone only when in MANUAL mode and
not automatic and it is possible to select the power of the flame and ventilation. For
further information on equipment operation refer to the provided manual.
