The Luciano Bertoncini office, which has been working in the industrial design
sector since the 70s, has witnessed and been an active part of the transformations
that have occurred over the intervening years.
At one point many design firms whose origins revolved around the product
began to delegate the production stage to specialists and in so doing became
overseers, freeing themselves to embrace all sorts of technologies.
Until 2009 it seemed that this system was working perfectly, but then the crisis
showed up all the weaknesses of having numerous production stages incurring
impossibly high prices.
That is why the Luciano Bertoncini office embarked upon the challenge
of supplying the market with a less expensive choice: the idea is to have a
constructive relationship with those who manufacture the product, providing
them with the marketing, the design and the communications so that they can
introduce themselves directly to the trading organizations as brands.
So let producers be brands!
Lo studio Luciano Bertoncini opera nel settore dell’industrial design dagli
anni ’70 e in questo lungo periodo ha partecipato a tutte le trasformazioni
del settore.
Molte aziende costruite intorno al prodotto, si sono evolute delegando a
specialisti la fase di realizzazione, diventando così editori con la possibilità
di spaziare nelle più diverse tecnologie.
Questo sistema sembrava potesse funzionare alla perfezione fino al 2009
quando la crisi ha mostrato tutte le debolezze, rendendo insostenibile il
lievitare dei costi dovuti ai vari passaggi di lavorazione.
Nasce da qui oggi la sfida dello studio Luciano Bertoncini di fornire al
mercato una scelta più economica: l’idea è di relazionarsi direttamente
con gli esecutori di prodotto fornendo loro il marketing, il progetto e la
comunicazione, dando loro la possibilità di presentarsi direttamente alle
organizzazioni commerciali come brands.

Carraro Tech has been jobbing successfully for over fifty years, putting its
professionalism, skill and experience at the service of the various sectors
involved with structural steel sections and furnishings.
And the company is drawing on this experience to embark upon a new
challenge: Carraro Edizioni, which has been formed by Gianni, Dario, Adriano
and Domenico getting together with Luciano Bertoncini, who has been working
in industrial design for forty years. They have in fact known each other for a long
time, enjoying an ongoing working relationship.
Combining forces with the Luciano Bertoncini office has given rise to a true
Brand consisting of a range of products with essential lines, in which design
meets technology. A trendy but elegant fusion of different materials has resulted
in a line of stylish products designed to furnish the “world’s spaces”.
Plane is the name that has been given to their first range of products; at the
beginning it was just a bed, but it now encompasses far more.
Da oltre cinquanta anni Carraro Tech opera con successo nella lavorazione
conto terzi, lavorazioni che trattano i più disparati settori della carpenteria
industriale e d’arredamento, offrendo professionalità, competenza ed
esperienza.
È proprio da questa maturità che oggi l’azienda ha deciso di affrontare una
nuova sfida: Carraro Edizioni nasce dall’incontro di Gianni, Dario, Adriano
e Domenico con Luciano Bertoncini. Anche Bertoncini lavora nell’industrial
design da quaranta anni; si conoscono da sempre e costante è il loro
rapporto lavorativo.
Attraverso lo Studio Luciano Bertoncini nasce quindi una collaborazione
che diventa un vero e proprio Brand costituito da una serie di prodotti dalla
linea essenziale, in cui design e tecnologia trovano la loro naturale fusione.
Materiali diversi, sposati tra loro con eleganza e attualità, danno forma ad
una serie di prodotti adatti ad arredare con stile gli “spazi del mondo”.
Plane è il nome della loro prima famiglia di prodotti; all’inizio fu un letto, ora
molto di più.

Un profilo dall’aspetto arrotondato in metallo verniciato
per una famiglia di prodotti dalle linee essenziali e gentili.
Letto, comodini, porta TV e specchi hanno la struttura
in alluminio e acciaio verniciata a polveri, disponibile nei colori
grigio RAL 9006, bianco opaco RAL 9016 e nero RAL 9005.
Le testiere in plexiglas satinato, come i piani e ripiani dei comodini
in cristallo acidato e verniciato nei colori della struttura,
sono disponibili anche in rovere e noce americano.

A gently rounded metal section with powder coated finish
for a range of products with an essential, flowing outline.
Bed, bedside tables, TV stand and mirrors have
a powder-coated aluminium and steel frame, with choice of finish
in grey RAL 9006, matt white RAL 9016 or black RAL 9005.
The headboards in Plexiglas satin ice, as also the tops and shelves
of the bedside tables in frosted glass lacquered in the colours of the frame,
are also available in wood with Oak or American Walnut finish.

A range of garden and outdoor furniture has been developed
from the original Plane models, always made
with gently rounded aluminium sections for an essential look.
The powder-coated frame is available in
grey RAL 9006 and matt white RAL 9016.
Cushions are in rubber and polyester with inner cover in jersey;
the removable grey or beige outer covers are in fabric suitable
for outdoor use.

con le linee essenziali e gentili del profilo arrotondato in alluminio.
