Il LED (Light Emitting Diode) è un dispositivo semiconduttore che emette luce al passaggio di corrente elettrica. Sviluppato
per scopi industriali si è affermato anche in altri ambiti e nell’ultimo periodo si propone come valida soluzione domestica.
A differenza delle altre lampade il led non è soggetto a surriscaldamento e non risente di urti, ciò garantisce maggiore affidabilità
e sicurezza. Questa tecnologia garantisce un’immediata accensione, una vita che supera le 50.000 ore, e consentono un risparmio
energetico fino al 85% rispetto alle tradizionali sorgenti di luce.
Il loro impiego oltre a permettere una grande semplificazione nella progettazione dei sistemi illuminanti, salvaguarda
l’ambiente; infatti la lunga durata implica sostituzioni meno frequenti (meno rifiuti) e l’assenza di sostanze inquinanti evita
costose e complesse procedure di smaltimento. La luce emessa dai LED è priva di radiazioni IR ed UV, un aspetto rilevante ai
fini della salubrità degli ambienti in cui sono utilizzate. Usare lampade Led significa ridurre le emissioni di CO2 (responsabili
dell’effetto serra), contenere il volume di rifiuti elettrici e contribuire così a salvaguardare le risorse. Con la tecnologia LED
tutti possiamo contribuire concretamente a preservare l’ambiente risparmiando!

The LED (Light Emitting Diode) is a semiconductor device that emits light to the passage of electric current. Developed for industrial purposes has

Cos’è la tecnologia C.O.B.?

C.O.B. è l’acronimo di Chip On Board, si tratta di una delle più recenti tecnologia LED basata su un nuovo sistema
di assemblaggio degli stessi LED.
Questa tecnologia permette di inserire su un piccolo supporto di dimensioni molto ridotte fino a 200 microchip
LED da 1W i quali, collegati insieme, formano un’ unica fonte luminosa ad elevatissime prestazioni.
Un “unico” LED che, essendo installato direttamente sulla scheda per mezzo dei cosidetti “fili bond”, permette di
disperdere il calore fino al 97% garantendo una temperatura operativa più bassa e quindi:
- minor decadimento del flusso luminoso
- migliori prestazioni in termini di efficienza energetica (rapporto Lumen/Watt)
- maggiore affidabilità e durata nel tempo
Inoltre l’applicazione sulla superficie del Led COB di una lente epossidica (chiamata Bubble) consente di definire la
distribuzione fotometrica che potrà essere sia a fascio molto stretto che a fascio largo.

What is C.O.B. technology?

C.O.B. stands for/is the acronym of Chip On Board, it is one of the latest LED technology based on a new assembly
system of the same LED.
This technology allow to put on a little support up to 200 microchip LED of 1W,which linked together form a single
light source for high performance.
A “ linked” (unique) LED , directly installed on the card by the so-called “wire bond”, helps to dissipate heat up to
97%, ensuring a lower operating temperature, and then:
- Less decay of luminous flux
- Better performance in terms of energy efficiency (Lumen / Watt)
- Increased reliability and durability
Furthermore, the application on the surface of a COB LED of an epoxy lens (called Bubble) allows to define the
light distribution, which can be either a very narrow-beam or a wide beam.
