SETSU&SHINOBU ITO both designers and architects. They cooperate as consultants with important international
companies between Milan and Tokyo. Their works, published and exhibited all over Europe and Japan, have received
several design awards such as ‘The Good Design Award 2001’ (Japan) and Premio Compasso d’Oro 2011’ (Italy) and
some of them became permanent collection of ‘Die Neue Sammlung’ International Design Museum in Munich. Besides
her activity as designer, Shinobu Ito also works in graphic design and marketing, complementary competences she has
developed during her cooperation at CBS Sony. Setsu Ito is visiting professor at the Politecnico di Milano, IUAV University
of Venice, Domus Academy and IED Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan and Tsukuba University and Tama Art University in
Tokyo.

HINODE is the new wall lamp - with POWERLED or halogen light source - designed by Setsu&Shinobu Ito for
Lumen Center Italia.
SETSU&SHINOBU ITO entrambi designer e architetti. Svolgono attività di consulenza tra Milano e
Tokyo per importanti aziende internazionali. Le loro opere, pubblicate ed esposte in tutta Europa e
Giappone, hanno ricevuto numerosi riconoscimenti come ‘The Good Design Award 2001’ (Giappone)
e ‘Premio Compasso d’Oro 2011’ (Italia) ed alcune fanno parte della collezione permanente
del Museo di Arte Contemporanea di Monaco. Oltre all’attività come progettista, Shinobu Ito, si
occupa di grafica e marketing - competenze complementari al design che ha maturato durante
gli anni trascorsi presso la CBS Sony. Setsu Ito svolge, invece, attività accademica come docente
presso il Politecnico di Milano, l’Università IUAV di Venezia, la Domus Academy e l’Istituto
Europeo di Design - a Milano - e a Tokyo presso la Tsukuba University e la Tama Art University.

The lamp, freely inspired by the day light, at sunrise and sunset,
diffuses a generous light upwards, and through a slot in the lamp
structure, a soft light downwards.

Disponibile nelle finiture verniciate: bianco opaco, alluminio
sabbiato e grigio perla, oppure cromata.
La lampada, liberamente ispirata alla luce del giorno
che sorge e tramonta sulla linea dell’orizzonte, illumina
generosamente verso l’alto e diffonde, attraverso una
fessura nel corpo lampada, una morbida luce verso il
basso.
