FERRARADESIGN è un’azienda nata 35 anni fa a Monteriggioni (Siena), nel punto di confluenza
tra la tradizione artistica e culturale del Rinascimento fiorentino e la raffinata maestria degli
artigiani senesi. Questa sintesi di due eccellenze tipicamente ed esclusivamente italiane
continua a manifestarsi, fino ai giorni nostri, attraverso la creazione di manufatti di grande
pregio. L’aziend ha dato inoltre vita ad una filiera produttiva che si è specializzata nel tempo in
molteplici forme espressive, incentrate sulla materia prima “ il vetro”.
Ferrara Design ha da sempre l’obiettivo di creare specchi originali, sia per design e qualità che
soprattutto, per caratteristiche tecniche di lavorazione. Infatti, oltre alle consuete fasi produttive
necessarie in qualsivoglia produzione di specchi (taglio e molatura ), è in grado di svolgere al
proprio interno anche le fasi di curvatura e argentatura del vetro stesso, aggiungendo valore
distintivo al proprio manufatto. Per queste caratteristiche tecnologiche, estetiche e produttive,
lo specchio di Ferrara Design evade dal semplice uso strumentale e funzionale (riflettere
l’immagine della persona ) e diventa un vero e proprio elemento di arredo dei vari ambienti della
casa, dal bagno al soggiorno, dall’ingresso alla camera da letto.
FERRARADESIGN was founded 35 years ago in Monteriggioni (close to Siena), the geographic point
of confluence between the artistic and cultural tradition of the Florentine Renaissance and the fine
craftsmanship of the Sienese Artisans.The synthesis of this special Italian design skill continues to
show up today, through the creation of artisianal objects of great value. Furthermore, the company
created a unique production style that includes many forms of expression over time, focusing on the
raw material “glass”. FerraraDesign has always had the goal of creating originally designed mirrors,
remarcable for their quality and technical work. In addition to the usual manufacturing steps necessary
in any production of mirrors (including cutting and grinding), FerraraDesign is able to carry out in
the internal curvature and also the phases of silvering of the glass itself, adding distinctive value to
these creations. Because of these special technological, aesthetic and production characteristics,
the FerraraDesign mirror distinguishes itself from simple instrumental and functional houseware
(reflecting the image of the person) and becomes a distinct piece of furniture for various rooms in the
home, from living room to bathroom, from the entrance to the bedroom.
