Father, when you created mankind you willed that man and wife should be
one, bind Dianne and Marco in the loving union of marriage and make their
love fruitful so that they may be living witnesses to your divine love in the
world.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns
with you and the Holy Spirit, One God, for ever and ever.

Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous, it is not
inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quicktempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing
but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all
things, endures all things. Love never fails. If there are prophecies, they will
be brought to nothing; if tongues they will cease; if knowledge, it will be
brought to nothing. For we know partially and we prophesy partially, but
when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I
used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a
man, I put aside childish things. At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror,
but then face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully as I
am fully known.
So faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
This is the word of the Lord.
La carità è paziente, è benigna la carità; non è invidiosa la carità, non si
vanta, non si gonfia, non manca di rispetto, non cerca il suo interesse, non si
adira, non tiene conto del male ricevuto, non gode dell'ingiustizia, ma si

called Nazareth to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of
David, and the virgin’s name was Mary.
Nel sesto mese, l'angelo Gabriele fu mandato da Dio in una città della
Galilea, chiamata Nazaret, a una vergine, promessa sposa di un uomo della

And coming to her, he said: “Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you.” But
she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting

Dear children of God, you have come to this church so that the Lord may
seal your love in the presence of the priest and this community. Christ
blesses this love. He has already consecrated you in Baptism; now, by a
special sacrament, he strengthens you to love each other with faithful and
endless love and to fulfill the duties of your married life. Therefore I ask you
to declare your intention before the Church.
Carissimi Dianne e Marco siete venuti insieme nella casa del Padre, perché la

The veil is a symbol of unity and togetherness. Dianne and Marco, at
Baptism, you were clothed with white garments symbolizing the new life of
purity and joy in the Lord. We clothe you again with this precious garment
as you enter this new phase of your life with God. Wear it unstained and let
the joy of the Holy Spirit shine forth through all your children and everyone
whom the Lord’s loving desire will bring into your life.
