WA 91 pts: “The non-vintage Franciacorta Cuvee Prestige is packaged in a transparent, squat
bottle. You can admire the color of the wine, with its deep golden highlights, from afar. But only
once the cork is popped, will you appreciate the width of its aromas. Preserved lemon, dried
apricot, pineapple, toasted nut, baguette and candied orange peel come from the glass. For an
entry level Franciacorta (representing a blend of 75% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Bianco and 15%
Pinot Nero), the complexity is impressive. The mouthfeel is extra suave and smooth with a distant
point of sweet fruit that rides long on the finish. This bottle was disgorged in the fall of 2012.
Drink: 2014-2017.”

WA 94 pts: “A masterpiece rendition from a warmer vintage, the 2005 Franciacorta Cuvee
Annamaria Clementi Riserva is a carefully contemplated blend of 55% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot
Bianco and 20% Pinot Nero. Only made in the best vintages, it is the estate’s flagship wine. This
beautiful sparkler puts forth a complex bouquet of sourdough, exotic spice, crushed white flowers,
candied lemon and Golden Delicious apple. I just love this sparkler. What sets this wine apart is its
enormous length. Sensations of fleshy fruit and acidic freshness last many long minutes. This
bottle was disgorged in the summer of 2013. Drink: 2014-2019.”

wine reveals stunning elegance and purity wrapped

volumes of the greatness of this terroir. The 1989 Sperss
can be enjoyed today as the tannins are incredibly
finessed, but it also looks to have many years of
profound drinking ahead of it. Anticipated maturity:

WA 95 pts: “The 2009 Sperss sees fruit sourced from
Serralunga d’Alba and those telltale signs of the territory
are definitely on full display. The power, added structure
and thicker density of the wine speak to this corner of the
Barolo denomination. Bold cherry and spice are rounded
off by leather, tobacco and a touch of toasted Alba
hazelnut. The finish is soft and caressing even at this young
stage, yet the wine still needs more time to evolve.
Anticipated maturity: 2018-2038.”
