They were expected to be good daughters, good wives and good mothers, they received different education from men and couldn’t do the same jobs as men. In the first half of 20th century something changed: the “National Society for Women’s Suffrage” was founded : Emmeline and Christabel Pankhurst went on to become the two most important figures in the movement. The first country to give women the right to vote was New Zealand. After more and more fighting women obtained good results but there is still a lot of work to do. His interests were broad and he loved to discuss all issues, showing an incredible wealth of knowledge in many fields.
