Gianfranco SINAGRA was born in Palermo in 12th June
1964, married, 3 children.
Graduate in Medicine, Sumam cum Laude and Honors at the
University of Palermo on 21st of July 1987. Specialized in
Cardiology on the 6th of November 1992 at the University of
Trieste with 50/50 and honors grade.
Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology.
Assistant at the Cardiology Division – USL 1 TS;
University Hospital – since June 1991.
Since 11th January 1999 Chief of the Cardiology Division at
the University Hospital of Cattinara, Trieste.
Full Professor of Cardiology at the Trieste University since
30 December 2004.
Since 2009, Chief of Cardiovascular Department of
Cardiology and Surgery at Azienda OspedalieroUniversitaria, Ospedali Riuniti, Trieste.
Director of the Postgraduate School of Cardiology at
University of Trieste.
He participated as a Supervisor or Lecturer in more then 500
National and International Congresses and to Formation
Courses for hospital, extra-hospital and university
Cardiologists.
Member of the ESC-Working Group on Myocardial and
Pericardial disease and of the ESC Heart Failure
Association.
Component of the Group of Experts for the Superior
Council of the Italian Health Ministry (since 2007).
