RULES
1. ORGANIZZAZIONE.
ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean Film Festival è un concorso
cinematografico promosso dall'Associazione Culturale di
Promozione Sociale Infochanneltv24 con la Società Umanitaria Cineteca Sarda e ArcheoMedSites.
1. ORGANIZATION
ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean Film Festival is a film competition
promoted by Associazione Culturale di Promozione Sociale
Infochanneltv24 con la Società Umanitaria - Cineteca Sarda e
ArcheoMedSites.
2. FINALITÀ
ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean Film Festival ha l'obiettivo di
promuovere e valorizzare i beni culturali e i siti archeologici
attraverso le arti visive creando un
interscambio di
conoscenze tra le diverse culture appartenenti al bacino
Mediterraneo attraverso proiezioni e dibattiti sull'archeologia;
offrire a tutti i filmmaker la possibilità di dare visibilità ai loro
documentari e film ,creare dei progetti didattici attivi
nell'ambito degli insegnamenti di storia nelle scuole
attraverso l’ideazione, la costruzione e la realizzazione di
documentari da parte degli studenti con l’aiuto dei docenti.
2. AIMS
ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean Film Festival aims to promote and
promote cultural heritage and archaeological sites through the
visual arts by creating a mutual learning between different
cultures belonging to the Mediterranean basin through
screenings and discussions on archeology; offer all the
filmmakers the opportunity to give visibility to their
documentaries and movies, create educational projects active
within the teachings of history in schools through the design,
construction and production of documentaries by students
with the help of teachers.
3. SEZIONI
ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean Film Festival è articolato in tre
sezioni:
Archeologia;
Archeolifelabs;
Archeomedsites.
3. SECTIONS
ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean Film Festival is structured in three
sections:
Archeological;
Archeolifelabs ;
Archeomedsites.
4. DEFINIZIONI
Archeologia;Documentari e docufilm,le arti visive diventano una
forte forma di espressione per mostrare il proprio punto di vista
e far sentire la propria voce attraverso le immagini.
Archeolifelabs,Documentari e docufilm ,una sezione dedicata
anche alle scuole, è quello di creare un progetto didattico attivo
nell'ambito degli insegnamenti di storia attraverso l’ideazione, la
costruzione e la realizzazione di documentari da parte degli
studenti con l’aiuto dei docenti.

Documentari e docufilm ,una sezione dedicata esclusivamente
ai siti del progetto Archeomedsites (www.archeomedsites.com)
4. DEFINITIONS
Archeological;Documentary and documentary film, visual arts
become a strong form of expression to show their point of
view and make their voices heard through the images.

Archeolifelabs, Documentaries and documentary film, also a
section dedicated to schools, is to create an educational
project active in the teaching of history through the design,
construction and production of documentaries by students
with the help of teachers.

5. TEMI E CARATTERISTICHE DELLE OPERE
La partecipazione è aperta a tutte le opere senza vincolo di anno
di produzione, genere, tema, formato e tecnica, sia distribuite
nelle sale cinematografiche o nel mercato home-video in Italia o
all’estero, sia inedite. Uniche condizioni alla partecipazione
Le opere devono essere sottotitolate preferibilmente in italiano o
in alternativa in inglese.
Le opere devono essere inviate, in busta chiusa con l’intestazione
“CONCORSO ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean Film Festival”, entro la
data di scadenza (30 settembre 2015), presso la Società
Umanitaria – Cineteca Sarda, viale Trieste, 118 – 09123 Cagliari
,Tel. 0039.070.278630.
La busta deve contenere:
1. la scheda di iscrizione sottoscritta in originale;
2. il film in tre copie in formato DVD (i dati del film - titolo,
durata, anno e autore - devono essere riportati su ciascuna
copia;
3. un DVD con il trailer o estratti del film;
4. un CD Rom o DVD contenente: a) il concept del film (max 300
battute) in italiano e in inglese, in formato Word; b) la sinossi
del film (max 800 battute) in italiano e in inglese c) bio e
filmografia dell’autore o degli autori in italiano e in inglese ;
d) scheda tecnica del film, cast&credits, in italiano e inglese;
e) qualora non fossero presenti i sottotitoli in italiano la lista
completa dei dialoghi tradotti in inglese e, qualora fosse
possibile, in italiano, in formato Word; e) almeno tre
fotografie di scena (formato jpeg – 300 pixel/pollice); f) una o
più foto dell’autore o degli autori (formato jpeg – 300
pixel/pollice).
Le spedizioni internazionali tramite servizio postale o di corriere,
provenienti da stati non appartenenti alla Comunità Europea,
dovranno essere accompagnati da una fattura proforma "per solo
uso culturale senza valore commerciale". L'organizzazione del
festival non si farà carico di spese doganali.
Tutto il materiale inviato non sarà restituito e farà parte
dell’archivio del “ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean Film Festival”,
costituito presso la Società Umanitaria – Cineteca Sarda a
esclusivi fini di studio e promozione.

5. THEMES AND FILM FEATURES
The competition is open to every film production, without
limits related to production date, genre, theme, format and
technique, either if distributed in cinemas or in the homevideo market, in Italy or abroad, or unreleased. The only
condition to participate is
The films have to be subtitled in Italian or, at least, English.
All the films have to be sent, in a sealed envelope with the
heading “CONCORSO ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean Film
Festival ”, by the due date (30.09.2015) at the Società
Umanitaria – Cineteca Sarda – Viale Trieste 118 – 09123
Cagliari – Italy. Tel. 0039.070.278630.
The envelope has to contain:
1. the original application form, signed by the author;
2. three copies of the film in DVD or Mini DV format (you have
to write on each of them the film's title, length, year and
author);
3. a DVD containing a trailer or some scenes from the film;
4. a CD Rom or a DVD with: the film concept in Italian and
English (max 300 characters) in the Word format (.DOC);
b) the film synopsis, written in Italian and English (max
800 characters) ;
c) the author’s or authors’ biography and filmography in
the, Italian and English (max 800 characters) in .DOC; d) the
film's technical form, cast and credits, in Italian and English;
e) if there are no subtitles, the complete list of the
dialogues, translated in English and, if possible, in Italian; f)
at least three stage photographs (jpeg format – 300
pixel/inch), one or more author’s or authors’ photographs
(jpeg format – 300 pixel/inch);
The international shipments through mail services, that come
from nations outside the European Community, have to be
sent with a pro-forma invoice “for purely cultural use, no
commercial value”. The film competition organization will not
pay the custom expenses.
The forwarded material will not be returned, it will be kept in
the ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean Film Festival files, at the
Società Umanitaria – Cineteca Sarda. It will only be used for
promotion and research purpouses.

7. AMMISSIONE E REGOLARITÀ DELLE OPERE
Sono ammessi al concorso unicamente i film regolarmente
presentati o inviati entro il termine stabilito e regolarmente
ricevuti. Fa fede il timbro postale di invio. L’ammissione è
deliberata, ad insindacabile giudizio, dalla Segreteria del concorso
sulla base della regolarità della documentazione prodotta.
La partecipazione al Festival può essere rifiutata a film
tecnicamente non in grado di garantire una buona proiezione
pubblica. Sarà cura della Segreteria informare gli autori delle
opere ammesse e non ammesse al concorso.
Con la liberatoria l'autore consente la proiezione del film anche
fuori concorso.
7. ADMISSION AND REGULARITY OF THE FILMS
We only accept films sent or given within the deadline and
properly received. The postmark will be a prove for it. The
admission is deliberated, in its unquestionable judgment, by
the competition secretariat, on the basis of the regularity of
the produced documents. Films whose technical features are
not suitable for an optimal public projection can be refused.
The secretariat will inform the author when his or hers film is
accepted.
The release also permits the secretariat to screen the film
outside of the context of the competition.
Signing the release the author allows the screening of the film
out of competition too.
8. GIURIE
I film ammessi al concorso saranno pre-selezionati da una giuria
appositamente nominata dalla direzione del ARCHEOLIFE
Mediterranean Film Festival.
I film selezionati saranno trasmessi alle giurie per le fasi
conclusive di valutazione.
GIURIA ARCHEOLIFE: è composta da 5 membri, di cui uno
presidente, nominati dal ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean Film
Festival, assegna i premi per miglior documentario.
GIURIA ARCHEOMEDSITES: è composta dagli aderenti alla al
progetto Archeomedsites. Che potranno assegnare anche delle
menzioni speciali.
GIURIA ARCHEOLIFELABS: è composta da un gruppo di dirigenti
degli istituti aderenti e con gli organizzatori del festival.
8. JURIES
The admitted films will be pre-selected by a jury which will be
appointed by the Direction of the ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean
Film
Festival.
The selected films will be sent to the juries for the final
valuational phases.
ARCHEOLIFE JURY: it has 5 members, including one Chareman,
appointed by ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean Film. It awards the
prizes for the best documentary.
ARCHEOMEDSITES JURY: it is composed by the partner projet
Archeomedsites, if required by the organizers, special
mentions.
ARCHEOLIFELABS JURY: it is composed by a group of the
Festival organizers and the schools headmasters will arrange
the vote procedure.
9. PREMI
Saranno assegnati i seguenti premi per ogni sezione e potranno
essere assegnate delle menzioni speciali:

Award: awarded by ARCHEOLIFE JURY This jury will award,
with a special prize, the best Sardinian author in the

I premi assegnati dal festival saranno intestati al sottoscrittore
dell'entry form.
The awards will bear the name of the one who signed the
application form.

10. UTILIZZO DEI FILM
Con la scheda di iscrizione firmata l’autore potrà consentire:
a) la pubblicazione dei testi e delle foto inviate nel catalogo e sul
sito del concorso.
b) la pubblicazione del trailer del film sul sito del concorso;
c) la messa in onda televisiva dei film all’interno di un format di
proprietà del ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean Film Festival;
d) l’utilizzo del film per scopi culturali, non commerciali da parte
dell’ Associazione Culturale di Promozione Sociale
Infochanneltv24 e della Società Umanitaria - Cineteca Sarda di
Cagliari. L’autorizzazione all’uso dei film nelle rassegne
“ARCHEOLIFE”in tour.”
Il calendario e gli orari delle proiezioni sarà pubblicato sul sito del
concorso. I film saranno presentati in versione originale con
sottotitoli in italiano o inglese.
Sarà cura dell’Organizzazione del Concorso realizzare una copia
video di ciascun documentario premiato, che riporterà nei titoli di
testa il logo ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean Film Festival e la
menzione del premio.
I film vincitori, nelle proiezioni successive al ARCHEOLIFE
Mediterranean Film Festival , dovranno riportare le indicazioni
del premio
11. RESPONSABILITÀ
Mediante la sottoscrizione della scheda di iscrizione l’autore
dichiara:
1. l’opera presentata non viola leggi e regolamenti vigenti o diritti
di terzi;
2. di essere titolare di tutti i diritti di utilizzazione dell’opera e
delle musiche (anche fornendo adeguata documentazione);
3. di sollevare l’organizzazione da tutte le perdite, danni,
responsabilità, costi e oneri di qualsivoglia natura che
dovessero essere sostenuti a causa del contenuto della sua
opera e della sua proiezione in pubblico;
4. di rinunciare irrevocabilmente ad ogni pretesa e ad ogni
azione, richiesta o rivalsa nei confronti degli organizzatori del
Concorso,dell' Associazione Culturale di Promozione Sociale
Infochanneltv24 e della Società Umanitaria cineteca sarda,
dei membri della Giuria, e di tutte le persone a qualsiasi
titolo coinvolte nel concorso e li solleva sin da ora da ogni
responsabilità in merito.

10. USE OF THE FILMS
By signing the application form, the author will agree to:
a) the publication of the sent scripts and photographs in the
competition catalogue and website.
b) The publication of the film trailer in the competition
website.
c) The TV broadcasting of the film in a format owned by
ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean Film Festival.
d) The film use for cultural, but not commercial, purposes, by
the staff of the competition by Associazione Culturale di
Promozione Sociale Infochanneltv24 and by the Società
Umanitaria – Cineteca Sarda. The film use for the ”Archelife in
tour.
The schedule and the timetable of the screenings will be
released on the competition website. The films will be
presented in their original version, with Italian or English
subtitles.
If the selected works are in film form (and not a digital one),
the Competition Organization will reach an agreement with
the production or with the author about the conditions for the
copy delivery.
The Competition Organization will realize a video copy of each
awarded short film in which there will be in the opening
credits the logo “ARCHEOLIFE Mediterranean Film“ and a
reference to the Award.
The winning films, in the successive screenings ARCHEOLIFE
Mediterranean Film , will have to show the information about
their prize
11. LIABILITIES
Through the application form subscription, the author
declares:
1. that the film does not violate laws and regulations or third
party rights;
2. to be entitled to all the rights of the work, including music
rights (even providing proper documentation);
3. to raise the Organization from all losses, damages,
liabilities, costs and charges of any nature that may be
incurred due to the content of the film and its public
screening;
4. to irrevocably waive any claim and any action against the
Competition Organization Associazione Culturale di
Promozione Sociale Infochanneltv24 and the Società
Umanitaria - Cineteca Sarda, the Jury Members, and all
the people involved in any way in the competition,
releasing them as of now from every kind of
responsibility.

12. CLAUSOLA COMPROMISSORIA E FINALE
Qualsiasi controversia che dovesse insorgere in relazione ai
rapporti oggetto del presente regolamento sarà devoluta al
giudizio di un collegio arbitrale, costituito da tre membri, di cui:
a) uno, con funzioni di presidente del collegio arbitrale, nominato
dall’Organizzazione del concorso; b) uno nominato dal
concorrente; c) uno nominato di comune accordo dai soggetti di
cui ai due precedenti punti a) e b) oppure, in mancanza di
accordo, dal Presidente del Tribunale di Cagliari.
Per ogni eccezione non rientrante nel presente regolamento
l’Organizzazione del Concorso si riserva il diritto di assumere
decisioni definitive.
Il presente regolamento è redatto in sardo, italiano e inglese. In
caso di problemi interpretativi fa fede la versione italiana.

12. ARBITRATION AND FINAL CLAUSE
Any dispute that may arise, related to the contents of this
document, will be transmitted to the judgment of a board of
arbitrators, formed by three members: one, with the function
of President of the board of arbitrators, appointed by the
Competition Organization; one appointed by the competitor;
one appointed, by mutual consent, by the two previous
subjects. Otherwise, if there is no agreement, by the President
of the Court of Justice of Cagliari.
The Competition Organization reserves the right to hold
definitive decisions for every exception that is not included in
these rules. The current rules are written in Sardinian, Italian
and English. For problems related to the correct interpretation
of this document, the Italian version is to be treated as the
most correct one.
