Visioni di futuro, visioni di teatro... is a project by La Baracca-Testoni Ragazzi
Theatre is Education for Development
Culture and politics are broad areas. Both are immanent in shaping life. They
primarily differ in the question of how to do this: from the bottom up or from the top
down? Culture is a field of activity characterised by people coming together. It’s
all about cultural experiences, creative processes and cultural forms of expression.
But culture is also an area of action. A number of different actors are involved in
any cultural exchange. They create infrastructures and their cultural offers create
demands. One of the duties of societies is to promote this development. In this
way culture also becomes an area of politics. Both public support and civil society
are responsible for shaping cultural policies. Each has its own different reasons for
creating frameworks that allow culture to flourish.
Political necessity and dramatic potential have created a theatre that uses
development tools in live performances. Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA),
especially Theatre for Early Years could be a kind of participatory theatre that
encourages audience members to take roles in creating performance. It could be
the creation of imagination. It could be an education for the arts, a fundamental
experience for learning the basics of the performing arts.
“Visioni di futuro, visioni di teatro”, the international festival of Teatro Testoni
Ragazzi in Bologna is the leading project in the world for the development of TYA
for development. “Small Size” is the vibrant artistic network behind this unique
event and this year’s program including shows, Master Classes and an exchange
with African Artists will be a promotion of clever concepts – in Cultural Policy for
Theatre for Early Years.
Congratulations to “La Baracca”, the inspiring hosting company! Welcome to
Bologna, the European Capital of Kids! Take part in the future of TYA!

I do not know if it has ever happened to you to walk the route you always walk,
the same old one for the thousandth time, lift your head without thinking and find
yourself in front of something you think you see for the first time.
A roof-terrace, a small tower, a balcony, a small statue nestled into the façade of
a building.
It often happens to me, when I walk the streets of Bologna.
So I stop, and marvel.
And I wonder whether that detail was there the day before.
I have the feeling that it was never there, that it has just been built or that it has
always remained concealed.
But I know it is not like that.
That roof-terrace, that statue have always been there, with their beauty, sometimes centuries-old, age and matter.
So I stop and look at that detail, unknown to me until that very moment.
I feel the same when I stop and look at a child who observes and listens to the world
surrounding them.
I get the feeling that they are really watching the world, with those eyes open wide,
full of amazement and able to take in every detail. And that they feel and listen
carefully to the feelings and information that sounds and words carry with them.
To learn, children watch and listen.
But are we able to watch and listen to little boys and girls?
Is there any place to do it in our world of grown-ups?
I mean a physical and mental space where we do not need to teach or guide, but
only to watch and listen, and where we can only rely on children’s thoughts and
images to feel complete as grown-ups.
I like to think that doing art for, and with, children can in itself be one of these special spaces, where we sometimes can simply and amazingly share – children and
adults together – different sensibilities.
A space where our eyes can fill of amazement and listen carefully to take in new

E SE UN ARCOBALENO/What if a rainbow
by and with Silvia Traversi and Giambattista Giocoli
On stage, a dancer and a musician. Among instruments that
become characters, they tell a dream-story made of changes, images and suggestions with different atmospheres. Instruments, sounds, dance and music get together and move
in an imaginary place - maybe a forest - where, after the
storm, the rainbow will appear. The very young watchers are approached thanks to
the use of non-verbal, expressive languages, in a creative, imaginative and emotional vision that will be adapted to the audience time after time. Dance and music
are the protagonists of the physical and emotional work, just as body and emotion
are the central elements of early years.
Saturday, February 23rd h 4.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m.

I COLORI DELL’ACQUA/The colours of water
by Roberto Frabetti - with Valeria Frabetti and Andrea Buzzetti
10 years of performances... Happy birthday!
Water came with the rain and the hidden garden was suddenly brought into life. Fountains and basins were filled. Fruit,
leaves, trees and plants have dusted off their colours and
the rainbow appeared high up in the sky. In the middle of
the hidden garden, there is someone who’s looking for water. Dippers and jugs in
their hands, looking for water and colours. The yellow of corn, the deep red of tomatoes, the purple of flowers... The two protagonists accompany us in a journey to
discover an earthly rainbow made of natural elements. “The colours of water” is a
show about simple and naturally beautiful elements. Colours play and we discover
all the nuances of the world.

Piccola esplorazione tra le cose dei grandi
What’s in there?
A journey through the things of the grown-ups
by Giada Balestrini and Monica Parmagnani
with Giada Balestrini/Monica Parmagnani
Carton boxes, containers containing other containers with doors, shutters and
openings where you can put your nose and eyes... and discover. Microcosms of
sounds, noises, shapes, colours, pieces of world concealing other little pieces of
world. Mum’s purse, the shopping bag, daddy’s toolbox, the laundry basket... The
curious character on stage touches, listens, turns upside down and reveals, looking
at things from the inside and from the outside. Resounding, chanting and singing
he sets off on his journey. It is a show about curiosity, about opening and closing,
revealing and concealing, giving and taking. A show to feel, touch and watch, in
order to make the discovery of spatial relationships easier: near-far, inside-outside,
on-under, in front-behind, between, up-down.

Babbo Bibbo e mamma Mimma
by and with Roberto Frabetti
This is the story of Lello, a young koala bear. Babbo Bibbo and
Mamma Mimma are his father and mother. When young Lello decides it is time for him to explore the world, Babbo Bibbo
and Mamma Mimma say OK, even though he’s still so young.
They know that the first portion of world to be explored is the
one “near home”. So they let him go, following him without being seen. During his
journey, the young koala bear meets a bunch of animals of every kind. They all
agree with Babbo Bibbo and Mamma Mimma about the idea of building a big
play for Lello, that ends up coming back home with a big party!
Babbo Bibbo and Mamma Mimma is a story about the respect for the independence of children. Knowing that this means to “let them go”, considering the right
amount of the risk, commensurate on their age, experiences and personal skills.

Ho un punto fra le mani Libero gioco
multisensoriale a partire dalla pittura di Kandinsky
Colours in my hands Free, multisensory play
starting from Kandinsky’s paintings
by Flavia Bussolotto - with Flavia Bussolotto and Alessandro
Martinello
Kandinsky used to say that shapes and colours speak to the soul. Thanks to their sensible qualities, shapes are living things to be listened to, and colours remind of a vital
sensation, a feeling, a sound. The work of art is a score of shapes and colours, and its
creation is the creation of a world into which spectators are invited to “dive with all
their senses”. On stage, two bodies interact with the silence of a point in the space,
with the poetic dimension of a curve that reminds of a smile. They are overwhelmed by colours, and colours are food, perfumes, the sounds of musical instruments;
each colour is a note and the sensory play of the actors functions as a mirror for the
little spectators. They experience their perceptions and their sensory memory in the
form of mental images. Thanks to the video projections, the elements of painting
evoke worlds that physically touch the actors’ bodies: how does a colour smell like?
How does it taste and sound like? Friday, March 1st h 9.30 a.m.

Spij is a show that tells us how the apparently easy activity
of sleeping can turn into something exciting and surprising.
The show casts a different light on daily-life, discovering the
world through the curious eyes of children. A comfortable and safe space, with
acoustic live music, welcomes the little spectators: the environment is perfect for
relaxing. The performance is open to exchange and interaction, allowing children
and parents to feel completely free.

An underwater show of contemporary dance, with objects and poetry in a big,
transparent swimming pool that reproduces the special place housing children before they are born: the uterus. We all experienced this condition but none of us remembers it; the changing sense of gravity and the movements, shapes and actions
take on a different connotation. In this environment - with light coming from above
and music from behind - and with the use of some plastic toys, two suspended bodies move and create an all-encompassing environment, where there is no sense
of separation between the inside and the outside but only a sense of totality, like
before... like when we were in our mum’s belly.

by Maria Ellero - with Maria Ellero and Andrea De Luca
A man and a woman meet in an empty place. The place
is very empty and they feel they need to fill it up. So she
dances. And he sings. And the space is suddenly less empty.
But still there is something missing and the man and the
woman try to find it by singing and dancing. Is the singing
producing dancing? Or is dance moving in the singing? And
what happens if they try and see who sings or dances more quickly? Then, the body
cuddles the voice and the singing protects the dancing. The space is not empty
anymore. Now someone else can come. But who? Maybe, if we look for them
together, if we call them by singing together... maybe someone - someone very
small - made of singing and dancing, will come... Wednesday, February 27th h 5.30 p.m.

Susurros/Whispers
by Juan Alberti - with Sofìia Castellote
This is a dance-theatre show about the special relationship
that is established between a mother and her baby. The
story is set on an ordinary day: from the moment when the
baby wakes up and needs his mother, to the end of the day,
when the baby goes to sleep. The baby eats, gets his bath
and walks outside, plays and goes to bed: these are some
of the key-moments of a mother and her baby’s daily-life. Susurros (Whispers) is a
show inspired by emotion. It is an acknowledgement to a mother’s love, to the unconditional commitment, efforts, joy and sorrow, and to everything that the word
“mother” means. Sunday, February 24th h 6.30 p.m. - Monday, February 25th h 10.30 a.m.

Ciripiripì
La vita è festa/Life is joy
by and with Gianni Franceschini
Carnival and New Year’s Eve, Easter and the Summer Solstice are dates that remind us of the passing of time, of
growth, maturity, sleep and joy. They are, more in general,
metaphors of life. The show is centred on this special cycle
and retraces the adventure of life, highlighting the most important events. It is the
story of Ciripiripì the bird, from its birth to the moment when it finally becomes a father. As a bird, its life revolves around the changing of seasons. And when seasons
change, then nature celebrates life, and the audience is invited to take part in it
with simple actions that create the change of the seasons, of the looks and colours
of the trees, and of the environmental and relational surroundings of Ciripiripì. The
little spectators can see themselves mirrored in the protagonist of our story, they
discover the journey of life and they are invited to share the main events of the
adventure’s development. Monday, February 25th h 11.30 a.m.

Un anatroccolo in cucina/
A duckling in the kitchen
by and with Simone Lombardelli
In the kitchen of a big restaurant, there is a cook sinking
in soap. Sounds and laughs come from behind the closed
door. He dreams: he is sitting at a table behind that door,
laughing and singing at the party. But the party needs to be
prepared... and today it is his turn. So all he can do is dream...
Dream about the ugly duckling, who woke up one day and found he was a swan,
ready to fly off... The show recalls the fascinating atmosphere of the silent film era
of the ‘20s, combining the magic of pantomime and clown art, with giant soap
bubbles and tinkling glasses. The show is inspired by the tale of the “Ugly Duckling”
and is centred on the topic of real or imaginary diversity, the need to be accepted
and to be part of a group. Monday, February 25th h 2.30 p.m

In Dutch, “Spellvogels” literally means “children that play”.
A beautiful word for a beautiful event: children and play.
When children play, something happens. In this show, three
dancers are on stage to play, share their imagination and
strengthen their friendship. The relationships between them
are challenged, but their choices are made stronger because... three is already a
crowd! Tuesday, February 26th h 5.30 p.m. - Wednesday February 27th h 11.30 a.m.

mother to tell her daughter about what tears mean... tears
for skin wounds and soul wounds, tears for an onion soup and
tears of joy... a river of tears where you can choose to drown
in or just swim in... The protagonists are a doll, an actress and
an artist who draws the world in real time around them. It is a sweet and involving show
for the little ones about the first conflicts with the world. Tuesday, February 26th h 11.30 a.m.

Who dresses up, builds, invents, laughs, dances and transforms himself. Who suddenly bursts to upset the daily round, everyday life. Who
shifts between disorder and harmony, between good and evil. Who is made of

Pop Up
Un fossile di cartone animato/Cartoon fossils
concept and direction by “Sacchi di Sabbia”
with Beatrice Baruffini and Serena Guardone
With pop-up paper theatres and by playing with the
epiphany of figures and shapes interwoven with the bodies
of the actors, the show revolves around the creation of a
hand-made cartoon, inspired by Walt Disney’s famous
“Fantasia”. It is an occasion to study theatre as a flow of bodies over time, movement
and the illusion of movement, the animation of motionless matter through an insight
on kinetics. In 2010, Teatro delle Briciole started a new approach on productions,
named “New views for a young audience”, entrusting Italian research groups with
the task of creating shows for children. After “Baby don’t cry” and “Children’s
Republic” (created by Babilonia Teatri and Teatro Sotterraneo respectively), the
new collaboration of 2013 will be with Sacchi di Sabbia.

Jack and the magic beans
by Bruno Cappagli, Daniela Micioni and Carlotta Zini
with Bruno Cappagli and Carlotta Zini
You sell the cow! But can a young child make a good deal?
Perhaps he can, thanks to his will to imagine fantastic worlds.
Five magic beans will take us to the “upper world”, where
everything is bigger, richer and nicer, but also more dangerous. Jack will show us how
children can be much smarter and braver than grown-ups. On stage, two actors
play on two levels: the contrast big vs. small (the ogre and the child) and fantastic
vs. real (the world above the clouds and the one on earth). It is a passionate, very
physical theatrical play combined with the imaginary world of the videos.

by and with Cristina Failla and Mariella Sto
Clorinda can’t sleep. She tries to avoid sleep by performing
some little ritual actions: she turns lights on and off, starts her
music box, reads a magazine, brushes her teeth. Finally, she
plays a lullaby with her trombone. The sounds made by her
trombone encourage her dreams to take shape and help
her close her eyes. After the last dream of the night, Clorinda wakes up fresh and

Fractales/Fractals
by and with Yutaka Takei, Nicolas Barraud and Phil Reptil
The patterns and structures we can find in nature and
in the universe have something in common. It is called
“principle of self-similarity”. Fractals are one of the things
that this principle tries to express: we can find them in a
snow crystal or in the shape designed by a coast line, in
a tree or in a mountain. Fractals are geometric patterns
that are repeated at ever smaller scales to produce irregular shapes and surfaces, meaning that they do not change even if we look at them through a magnifying glass. In this performance, the Company combines plastic and visual
arts, dance, music and the involvement of the audience... This time, in a world
of fractals! The world is full of possible perspectives and points of view. If we look
at life with new eyes and observe carefully what we normally disregard, our
present life can be more joyous than our yesterdays! Friday, March 1st h 2.30 p.m.

MAMAMUSICA
Workshop on musical learning in early years
with Chiara Bartolotta, expert in music learning theory and in collaboration with
Linda Tesauro and Luca Bernard, Educational Workers, International Museum and
Library of Music, Bologna
For children, the early years are a fundamental stage for learning and for the
development of their potential. When they are born, children have an innate
disposition to learn the musical language, which can be developed if they find
themselves in a stimulating environment of sounds.
The workshop - inspired by the most important theories on musical learning - is
centred on making music together. Thanks to the use of chants and songs, dances, rhythmic games and body percussions, we will analyse the techniques, methods, repertoires and criteria for observing the musical styles and patterns when
working with the very young. Saturday, February 23rd h 2.30-5.30 p.m.

of a number of supports, and everything will take place in a playful and free way.
Special attention will be paid to exploring how we can turn this experience into
practice at school. Saturday, February 23rd h 2.30-5.30 p.m.
CURTAIN OF LIGHT - From caterpillar to butterfly
with Luciano Cendou, actor and technician and Valeria Frabetti, actress and director, Bologna
A body is a body, a white canvas is a white canvas and a light is a light.
But if the body, the white canvas and the light move in the space together with
other bodies and other lights, then we can create a little theatrical drama.
What we propose is not a workshop on shadows, but a theatrical game in which
movement, big white canvases and lights interact to turn an empty space into
one full of feelings and images. A butterfly enveloped in its cocoon flies to the
skies and towards the light... Saturday, February 23rd h 2.30-5.30 p.m.
DANCE AS A CULTURAL AND ARTISTIC ELEMENT FOR CHILDREN
with Omar Meza Frías, dancer and choreographer, Granada
In the workshop, we will carry out a theoretical analysis of shows for early years –
in particular, dance shows - and we will aim at developing the consciousness of
our body as a means of expression and education. We will start from a discussion
about the importance of cultural activities for very young children, and we will
eventually focus on movement. This work will be experienced by the participants
on their own skin, because only in this way will they be able to provide the children
with a similar experience.

SOUNDS THAT MOVE THE SCENE
with Bruno Cappagli, actor and director, Bologna
The workshop will be centred on music and theatre, two worlds that have always
gone hand in hand and influenced one another. Here, we will experience music
as a “starting engine” for theatrical creation. In this practical workshop, our listening skills will be put to the test, and music will be considered as a starting point for
creation: from an introduction on which music to choose for theatre plays, to the
interaction between music and performers through the practice of improvisation.
Sunday, February 24th h 10.30 a.m.-1.30 p.m.
Structuring Dramatic Play Activities
with Young Ai Choi, lecturer at Korea National University of Arts, Department of
Theatre
Dramatic play is at the root of drama/theatre for children, which is “the mental
act of imaginative transformation.” In this workshop, the participants will experience the dramatic structure of ‘Hide and Seek’ (or ‘Lost and Found’) in theatre
games, poems, and literature. The abstract ideas or concepts in drama/theatre
activities will be explored: To challenge, to accept changes, to live different lives,
to keep a secret, to endure, and etc. A genuine play-spirit within the structure of
dramatic play will stimulate innate tension in our body/mind and release emotion. This experience is spontaneous and natural to human beings. It will enhance
dramatic experience through our body/mind in culture and take this experience
to life as a metaphor. Sunday, February 24th h 2.30-5.30 p.m
TICKLING THE SHOULDERS AND WHAT CHILDREN’S LITERATURE IS NOT
with Milena Bernardi and Giorgia Grilli, Department of Science of Education,
University of Bologna
The workshop is aimed at exploring the nature of children’s literature, as it encloses the literary inspiration of the stories that, somehow ambiguously, are addressed
to children but come from adults. They are stories that populate a metaphoric,
elusive “middle world”, open to other endless worlds and unexplored visions. We
will investigate texts, words and pictures and we will ask ourselves what children’s
literature is and is not, and whether it has the surprising strength of “otherness”
that, alone, reveals the complexity of the world.
Sunday, February 24th h 2.30-5.30 p.m
AND WE’LL CHANT OUR RELIEF
with Germana Giannini, researcher in Anthropology of Voice, Bologna/Seville
A collective and creative action experienced through chants, songs and melodies of different cultures. Breath supports sound, taking it to the areas of resonance of our body; vibrations create emotions and surprise, sometimes tears and
sense of unity. The chants, songs and melodies will give our soul relief, and by investigating how our vocal dimension works we will share moments of art and life.
Saturday, March 2nd h 2.30-5.30 p.m. - Sunday, March 3rd h 2.30-5.30 p.m.
DRAWINGS SIGN AND SIGNS DRAW
with Enrico Montalbani and Fabio Galanti, actors and set designers, Bologna
In the workshop, we will explore the different connections between gestures and
drawings. We will focus on how movements can be translated into figures and viceversa, and on how feelings and suggestions can emerge thanks to this experience.
The participants will be invited to go back in time and space, to when our hand
tried to represent the world of grown-ups with simple signs and aesthetic concepts

were completely disregarded. The workshop aims at discovering a language that
can be applied and used both in theatre and drawing, and that can serve as a
new stimulus for those who work with children. Saturday, March 2nd h 2.30-5.30 p.m
WOOL
with Barbara Kölling, director, Hamm
In her shows, Barbara Kölling often uses different kinds of materials: wood, water,
sand, paper, earth, stones... This time, the material to be explored is wool.
What kind of feelings can wool evoke? How can you actually interact with it?
What can you do with it alone, in pairs or in a group? And how does this material
guide us to use it in one way or in another? It is a workshop to discover the hundreds of experiences you can have with wool. Saturday, March 2nd h 2.30-5.30 p.m
HERE AND NOW
with Yutaka Takei, dancer and choreographer, Paris
Yutaka Takei’s work is based primarily on the research on Japanese martial arts
and Eastern philosophy: the concepts of body and spirit are put on stage in his live
shows. At the centre of this research, there is the consciousness of the body and
the self: we can always take one step further on our long journey and find that
we can live in harmony with nature. In today’s society, we are too busy with too
many things every day of our life. So let us try to forget them and, little by little, let
ourselves go to the feelings our body conveys. Let us forget the past and not think
about the future: it is enough to live every moment with honesty. Let us find a truth
and share it, here and now. Sunday, March 3rd h 2.30-5.30 p.m.
CREATING LANDSCAPES WITH OUR BODY
with Gabriele Marchioni, actor and director, Bologna
Our body can tell, imagine, reveal hidden stories and places even without words.
This workshop is an occasion to explore our expressiveness. Thanks to exercises
and improvisation, we will focus on our body and its unexplored possibilities, to
turn it into a means of storytelling, able to evoke images and situations, without
how’s and why’s. Sunday, March 3rd h 2.30-5.30 p.m.

SIGNS AND DRAWINGS OF LIFE
A journey through children’s graphic and pictorial language
with Silvia Spadoni, lecturer in Pedagogy and Didactics of Art, Academy of Fine
Arts, Bologna and curator of the Educational Department of MAMbo - Museum of
Modern Art of Bologna
The workshop combines theoretical analysis with performative activities, aiming at
rediscovering the sense and value of children’s drawing starting from connections
with contemporary art, aesthetics and phenomenological pedagogy.
The topics treated will be: the origin of children’s drawing and its development, the
connections between the children’s creative processes and those that characterise the artistic productions of adults. The workshop will also provide an insight on the
different approaches and methods of interaction between children and educators starting from the following subjects: I draw, therefore I am: the need to leave
traces of ourselves; Walking the world, walking on the sheet: motor development
and scribbles; To draw is to tell with signs and words; To draw is to tell something
about ourselves: from the presentation to the representation of one’s self; the expressive and plastic value of aniconic art; A matter of space: from a white sheet as
a space for projection, to walls as display areas.
Sunday, February 24th h 10.30 a.m.-1.30 p.m. and h 2.30-5.30 p.m.
SOCIO-COMICAL EDUCATION
with André Casaca, clown, actor and director – artistic and pedagogic director of
Teatro C’art circo arte ricerca, Castelfiorentino (FI)
The workshop aims at providing the participants with the instruments necessary for
developing their own comical-expressive abilities in the relationship with children
and youngsters. It is a theoretical and practical seminar on the use of our comical skills in the educational approach. We will investigate how we can be comical and how we can produce casual comical gestures. When connected to the
comical aspect of gestures, communication is effective because it is direct and
elementary, but it can, at the same time, be very complex and ambiguous. The
practical activities proposed involve basic exercises on our comical spontaneity
and aim at making the participants recognise the intentions hidden in their gestures when communicating with children and young people.
Saturday, March 2nd h 2.30-5.30 p.m. and Sunday, March 3rd h 10.30 a.m.-1.30 p.m.
GETTING the body in the game
Theatrical workshop for big and small sensitive bodies
with Miriam Bardini, actress, Parma
Workshops are very good occasions to explore what is “other than ourselves”:
other bodies, other sensibilities, other emotional and sensory dimensions, other
smells, other voices, other rhythms... The body will be at the centre of our work:
each body has a unique expressive force. The real protagonist will therefore be
our body, and we will aim at achieving a deep involvement from both a physical
and emotional point of view in order to listen carefully to what happens inside of
us: feelings, emotions, thoughts. Special attention will be paid to the work carried
out as a group. Thanks to theatrical exercises, we will explore special aspects such
as: listening, the perception of ourselves and the others, the perception of space,
our body in relation to space, the sense of rhythm, attention, precision, voice, silence. Sunday, March 3rd h 10.30 a.m.-1.30 p.m. and h 2.30-5.30 p.m.

I N T E R N A T IO N A L P R OJEC T S
Since its first edition, “Visioni di futuro, visioni di teatro” has always
aimed at taking on an international dimension. Not for an issue of
prestige, but because of a natural aversion to frontiers, boundaries
and barriers.
Thanks to Small size’s networking activity, the festival has always tried to involve artists and professionals from many countries, through its international showcase and several research and training
projects: the Small size workshops, the international conferences,
the meetings of the Artistic International Association Small size, the 2009 “Assitej Forum”...
In this edition, along with the usual conferences and meetings, the Festival will feature new, interesting international projects. These are special projects, born in
collaboration with important Universities, such as the Master Class on Cultural Policy
for Early Years and two studies presented by the “Korea National University of Arts”
students. There are also projects IN progress, such as Africa meets Europe meets
Theatre for Children and The ASSITEJ Academy - A laboratory for the future of Theatre for Young Audiences, that will create new relationships and encounters aimed
at drawing the basis for a future development of Theatre for Children...

FROM THE CITY TO THE WORLD...
During Visioni 2012, on the occasion of a beautiful
conference, Roger Bedard focused on an idea: that
children are human beings and not human becomings.
We think these words draw a very clear image.
Children are not incomplete humans of tomorrow, but full
humans at any age, complete in their own specialness.
They are complete human beings with whom to have an
individual-to-individual relationship.
They are citizens who, since their early years, have the right to live fully the
physical and imaginative space that art and culture can offer them, while
sharing a condition of closeness and belonging with adults. Closeness with the
others and with their thoughts, in a peaceful society. Belonging to a space, to a
people, to a city that opens to the world.
