DESIGN: HERMANN CZECH, 1994
Der 1994 entworfene Stuhl von Hermann Czech zeichnet die Wende der modernen Einrichtung zum Intimismus und den Kult der
Erinnerung: ein aktuelles Design, das aus früheren Zeiten zu stammen scheint. Ideelle Kontinuität des Thonet-Stils des späten
19. Jahrhunderts. Der Stuhl Czech stimmt die Harmonie des dampfgebogenen Buchenholzes auf seine klaren, abstrakten Linien
ab, die durch die verschiedenen möglichen Endbearbeitungen betont werden. Czech erscheint stabil und haltbar und ist auch
in gepolsterter Ausführung, mit und ohne Armlehnen, erhältlich. Der in einem Stück gebogene Rahmen des Sitzes wird durch
bogenförmige Elemente gestützt, die Stabilität und Robustheit verleihen.

un design attuale che sembra d’altri tempi. Continuità ideale con lo stile Thonet di fine ‘800. La sedia Czech modula l’armonia del
faggio curvato a vapore alle sue linee pure e astratte, esaltate dalle varie finiture disponibili. Dall’aspetto solido e resistente, Czech
è disponibile anche in versione imbottita, con o senza braccioli. Il telaio della seduta, curvato in un unico pezzo, è sostenuto da una
struttura ad archi che conferisce stabilità e robustezza.
Designed in 1994, the Hermann Czech chair represents the turning point of modern furniture towards the passion of reminiscence
and intimacy: a contemporary design that evokes memories of times gone by. An ideal way of maintaining continuity with the late
XIXth century Thonet style. ‘Czech’ adapts the harmony of steam bent beech wood to its pure and abstract design, which is further
enhanced by the various finishes available. Solid and hardwearing, this chair is also available in an upholstered version, with or
without armrests. The seat frame is curved from a single piece of wood, and supported by an arched structure giving it greater
stability and strength.
Conçue en 1994, la chaise d’Hermann Czech marque le tournant de l’ameublement moderne vers l’intimisme et le culte de la
mémoire: un design actuel qui semble appartenir à d’autres époques. Une continuité idéale avec le style Thonet de la fin du
XIXe siècle. La chaise Czech combine l’harmonie du hêtre courbé à la vapeur à ses lignes pures et abstraites, exaltées par les
différentes finitions disponibles. D’aspect solide et résistant, Czech est également disponible dans la version rembourrée, avec ou
sans accoudoirs. Le bâti de l’assise, courbé en une seule et unique pièce, est soutenu par un châssis en arcs qui apporte stabilité et
robustesse.
