“Policlinico di Monza” is a private health care provider which
furnishes complete management of general hospital activities, from functional duties to financial duties. Policlinico di
Monza has a code of values which reflects its company mission - to operate as an ethical company.
The hospital was founded in 1993 with the acquisition of
Eporediese Clinic. Since then, thanks to a harmonious synthesis between developmental policy and company consolidation, the Group has purchased and developed the following

POLICLINICO DI MONZA
Policlinico di Monza offers the best electromedical systems
available on the market, particularly within the Diagnostic
Imaging Department, headed by Prof. Toufic Khouri.
The hospital has two distinct radiology capacities: one for hospitalised patients only, and the other is exclusively intended
for outpatient services.
During 2011 there were installed a GE Veo 750 128 slice CT
scanner and the GE 450 Short Wide Bore 1.5 Tesla MRI.
Policlinico di Monza is the main hospital of the Group, where you will find the highest level of medical and surgical expertise.
The activities carried out in the fields of heart surgery, cardiology, orthopaedics, neurosurgery and rehabilitation are particularly important.
Each of Policlinco di Monza’s departments houses a university department – for example, the Cardiology Department
headed by Professor Giuseppe Specchia works with the University of Pavia; the Orthopaedics Department headed by
Professor Francesco Pipino works with the University of Genova; the Ophthalmology Department headed by Professor
Stefano Miglior works with the University of Milano-Bicocca;
and the Rehabilitation Department works with the University
of Milano-Bicocca. Policlinico di Monza accommodates the
university program ‘Bachelor of Physiotherapy’ directed by
Professor Cesare Cerri.

involved with the care of the various forms of breast pathology, together with the cutting edge technology equipment

In 2010, Policlinico di Monza established the Institute of Oncology and appointed as its Clinical and Scientific Director
Professor Emilio Bajetta, former Chairman of the Department
of Medical Oncology of the National Tumor Institute of Milan
and ex President of the Italian Association for Medical Oncology, of which he was a founding member.
The Institute of Oncology is characterized as a centre of excellence capable of providing all the measures that are necessary
in order to be able to manage complex oncological situations.

The Institute of Oncology is connected with the Units of Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Urology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery and the Departments of Diagnostic Imaging, Pathology, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Radiation Therapy, Psychology, and the Breast Unit.
The Institute of Oncology is therefore a structure capable of
providing the patient with excellent health care services in
the fields of diagnosis, therapy, and psychological support.
The Department of Diagnostic Imaging uses 3 Magnetic Resonance Imaging Systems, 3 Computerized Axial Tomography Systems, 3 digital Mammography Systems, 11 multidisciplinary ultrasound scanners.
The Institute of Oncology makes use of the Department of
Histology and Pathology, which performs histopathologic
and immunohistochemical analysis and with the Department of Gastrointestinal endoscopy that possesses 3 video
colonoscopes and 3 gastroscopic endoscopes of the most
recent generation.
The Institute of Oncology includes all the Surgical Units, including General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Urology, and Plastic
Surgery.
The Unit of Medical Oncology has 14 beds and 10 technical
stations for the administration of chemotherapy drugs.
The Department of Radiation Therapy of the Institute of Oncology of Policlinico di Monza has the latest equipment, in
particular 2 Linear Accelerators.
Further, there is the possibility of using the Physiokinetic
Service of the Functional Rehabilitation Centre to carry out
lymphatic drainage.
The Institute of Oncology has a Psychology Service which
follows up the patient during the entire process of diagnosis and treatment of the illness.
