SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Make sure that the towbar is suitable for the vehicle before starting the installation.
- For safety, all work involving towbar installation (incl. electrical components) must be undertaken
by skilled technicians.
- Damaged components must be replaced with manufacturer’s spares and fitted byqualified staff.
- It is forbidden to make any modification or structural repair to towing assembly.
- The towball must be kept clean and lubrificated. For added safety, his diameter (50 mm) must be
checked at regular intervalls. If the towball measures less than 49mm after selected readings across
the diameter, the towball must be replaced with a new one.
- After 1000 km of towing, check torque settings for nuts and bolts, in accordance with the table.

Remove the eventual mastic from contact points then paint with anti-rust paint.
1 Remove bumper and discards the reinforcement bar.
2 Remove the spare tire.
3 Remove the floor and the rear wall of the inner boot trim.
4 Move the battery from the right side to reach inner holes.
5 Insert items C inside the chassis rails referring to holes 01 so that they lean against the inner face.
Insert the screws and tighten interposing the large washers.
6 Locate items B corresponding to holes 04, insert items C inside their hole. Insert the screws and
tighten.
7 Interpose item A to items B corresponding to holes 02 and 03. Insert the screws and tighten.
8 Tighten all bolts and nuts as per torque settings.
9 Connect the wirings to the socket
10 Re-fit the spare tire, re-fit the battery on the right side and re-fit the floor and rear wall of the inner
boot trim.
11 JUST FOR VEHICLES WITH AIRMATIC SYSTEM : Coil up the air pipes with gaffer on contact
points with the structure and then tighten them with the original band to the left support in position B
so to avoid contact points with the structure.
12 Cut the lower central edge of bumper as showed ( JUST FOR NORMAL BUMPER NOT AMG
BUMPER)
13 Re-fit bumper.
