WELCOME
A warm welcome to all the Companies and Captains who will participate in
the works of YARE 2015, the most important international business event
dedicated to after sales and refit of super and mega yacht sector.
It’s really important for me to underline the high quality of the companies
that joined the event and that will participate in our dates in Viareggio, Lido
di Camaiore and Marina di Carrara, inserted inside of the 13° edition of Seatec,
International Exhibition Technologies, Subcontracting and Design for Boats,
Mega-yachts and Ships.
This edition hosts some novelties and improvements that we have achieve
thanks to the useful data that came from you-all. Every years this event is
able to grow up, obtaining more attention and reinforcing its own position in
the field of the international business manifestations.
As in the past editions, a great involvement and attractiveness will be
aroused by the Italian Superyacht Forum, organized in collaboration with
The Superyacht Group, and the Captains Superyacht Forum, a sequence of
meetings built as thematic round tables where the main characters of the
life cycle of a super-yacht can directly express their difficulties, ideas and
necessities to all the shipyards producing super-yachts and to all supply
services companies.
Captains will be our guests during the yachting tours in Tuscany and La
Spezia, with the aim of visiting the area’s excellence with important shipyards
and nautical companies that are going to open the door of their productive
sites for a technical open day.
Even this year, the well-established collaboration with the Italian superyachts captains association, ItalianYachtMasters, is really important and of
great value.

ITALIAN SUPERYACHT FORUM
The Italian Superyacht Forum, in partnership with the “Superyacht
Group”, has become the traditional appointment in which “hot topics”
in the industry are explored and where key issues of the health status
of the global “superyacht industry” are discussed from an Italian
standpoint.
SUPERYACHT CAPTAINS’ FORUM
The renovated format of the second half of the conference
programme, aims to interactively engage Captains, yacht managers
and professionals, to focus on common needs and to identify possible
solutions.
TUSCANY YACHTING DISTRICT TOUR
The district tour is the best way for Captains to get a real look at the
excellence of the district.
Great opportunities to visit real businesses in small groups with
guided tours or have direct meetings by appointment.
The groups of invited Captains will be provided with a list of businesses
so that they will be able to select the companies they would like to
visit and the group tour they would like to join.
B2C MEET THE CAPTAINS
B2C Meet the Captains: Easy and productive informal meetings will
be organized to allow the contacts between Captains and suppliers
of products and services. Two sessions dedicated to “one to one”
presentations and contacts, according to a matching plan specifically
designed to facilitate individuals’ business interests.
YARE PAVILION AT SEATEC
YARE Pavilion at Seatec: YARE Pavilion will be the exclusive space
for Captains & Companies, within the traditional trade exhibition
Seatec. It will represent a great opportunity to visit the exhibiting
companies showing their products. Captains will also enjoy a unique
and dedicated space for their business and network.
SOCIAL NETWORKING
Friendly and outstanding settings will support B2C meetings,
encouraging informal and effective conversations rather than formal

TUSCANITY
AS A BRAND
“Tuscany is more than a region. It’s a brand appreciated
throughout the world for what it represents like its beautiful places,
cities of art, history, environment, fashion and fine food and drink.”
Historic-artistic assets that are enhanced by six UNESCO World
Heritage Sites, a wide array of landscape, food and wine and cultural
offerings that push 11 million tourists (source: Unioncamere-Isnart) to
choose it as a vacation destination every year. Factors that, together,
already outline the high standards of life in Tuscany, further favored by
an enviable geographical position: bathed by the Mediterranean Sea,
traversed by the Apennines mountain chain, at the heart of southern
Europe. A combination of elements that for some years has been
pushing numerous businessmen and jet setters to choose Tuscany,
purchasing historic buildings, luxury residences, or countryside villas
to pass their spare time.
Infrastructures
Positioned at the center of Italy and southern Europe, Tuscany is
endowed with an infrastructural system that places it above the
average of Europe’s regions, with a 27 (Eurostat 2003-2008 Annual
Infrastructure Index). The figures are significant for the railway
and maritime differences, and average for the road and freeway
networks. Airport structures are a little more deficient, although they
have recently been experiencing a strong revival, partly due to the
increased integration of the ports of Florence and Pisa.
Roadway network
Longitudinally, the two main vectors are constituted, in the central part
of Italy, by the A1 freeway (Milano-Bologna-Florence-Rome-Naples)
and, in the western section along the coastline, by the A12 freeway
and by the Strada Aurelia [Aurelian Way]. The main transversal routes
are the Tosco-Romagnola that connects Florence with the coast, and
State Route E78 - the main connection to the Adriatic [Sea].
Railway network
The railway system’s two main axes develop along the same
longitudinal lines as the roadways. The railway ssytem’s flagship is
comprised of the high-velocity lines that connect Florence to the
country’s two main centers (Milan and Rome) in less than two hours,
and that also allow for quick connections to other important cities
such as Bologna, Turin, and Naples.
Airports
YARE 2015
The Tuscan air connection system is based on two international
airports. The “Amerigo Vespucci” airport in Firenze Peretola saw
approximately 2 million passengers in 2013, and recently approved
a master plan to enhance runways and the airport structure with the
goal of reaching 4.5 million passengers in 2029. The airport is mostly
geared towards business clientele headed for Florence, and towards
tourists. The “Galileo Galilei” airport in Pisa saw approximately 4.5
million passengers in 2013, making it the tenth largest Italian airport
in terms of traffic. Designed to also cater to the traffic of goods, it
transited 2,400 tons of goods and mail in 2013.

Shipbuilding
The seafaring culture has been part of the Tuscany’s artisanal and
industrial tradition for a long time, given that the shipbuilding activity
developed in the past, beginning with the necessities of fishing and
the transport of marble to then broaden to luxury vessels, around
the mid Nineteen hundreds, especially in the Viareggio area. Here,
the shipyards have reached levels of international fame for yachts
and pleasure crafts, with reknown brands. The area surrounding
Viareggio, and more generally the Lucca province, was the birthplace
of the Tuscan industrial reference district for the nautical sector,
which can count on 1,100 companies and nearly 6,500 employees just
in this region (based on statistics provided by NAVIGO, a center for
nautical innovation and development in Tuscany). Comprehensively,
however, the five coastal provinces (Lucca, Massa-Carrara, Pisa,
Livorno, and Grosseto) can count on a basin of 2,800 companies
active in the sector, which employ 15,000 people. The businesses
span the entire productive chain: although leisure and sports vessels
are the prevalent products, the repair and maintenance as well as the
sale and lease of both boats and accessories have grown in recent
years. Based on the ranking published by the American Showboats
International magazine, six of the world’s top twenty builders are
active in the Region. The structure of Tuscany’s nautical industry is
based on a few small brands and on very many small and medium
businesses. In order to optimize the transfer of technology and knowhow, the sector’s industry has organized itself with five service centers
in the Region. These, in turn, refer to PENTA, the nautical and marine
technologies innovation hub whose objective is to coordinate the
activities of the segment’s various players (businesses, universities,
and research centers) and to stimulate innovation.
Foreign Direct Investment
In the three year period between 2011-2013, foreign direct investments
towards Tuscany increased. Based on the statistics published by the
Regione Toscana [Region of Tuscany], the capitals entering from
abroad averaged €400 million per year, compared to the €300 million
per year averaged between 2005-10. This contributed to increasing
the stock of comprehensive investments in the Region that, according
to Banca d’Italia data, amounted to approximately 9 billion at the end
of 2011. According to ICE statistics, at the end of 2011 approximately
400 businesses with foreign stockholders were active in Tuscany. Of
those, approximately 40% are active in the manufacturing sector.
Invest in Tuscany is a network of public partners promoted by the
Region of Tuscany, in collaboration with the Economic Promotion
Agency “Toscana Promozione”, Provinces and Municipalities whose aim
is to promote Tuscany as a key investment destination and attracting,
facilitating and retaining investments in the region.

2014 has been a particularly complex year for super-yachts
shipbuilding, especially regarding the precautionary analysis on the
order book. After a problematic first 6-months time, predicting a
probable and sudden negative inversion, the end of the year has been
very positive, with a global order book consisting of 412 units.

Once again, data about the distribution of global orders are source of
pride for our country.
862 is the number of shipyards that have built at least one yacht with
a length over 30 mt. Among them, the shipyards delivering yachts
during the last 10 years are just 275, of which 54 are Italian ones,
confirming the trend of a strong selection of the markets. At present
time, the shipyards declaring at least one yacht under construction
are 109, of which 33 Italian.

In fact, during 2014, the number of shipyards that delivered at least
one yacht over 30 mt. has decreased to 80, against the 100 shipyards
registered in 2013.
The considerable growth of the order book is, of course, to be taken
in consideration for this evaluation, too.

The range 30 – 50 mt. is the most relevant, even if the presence of 65
yachts with a length over 90 mt remains quite significant.

Around 53% of the yacht with a length over 30 mt. have been built
after 2000. Just 29% of the fleet is “old” (built before 1990), while
from 1990 to 2000 18% of the fleet has been delivered. The data show
that, from 1990 to 2000, the fleet has more than doubled, with an
increasing of 120%.

The regular presence of super-yachts in the Mediterranean area is
strongly confirmed. Superyachtintelligence.com’s database gives the
information about the “home port” of the fleet of super-yachts. Even
the analysis made during the 2014 confirms the data of 55% as the
percentage of yacht choosing a Mediterranean port as own “home
port”.

From the chart it is possible to appreciate the super yacht deliveries
by Italian shipyards, highlighting the importance of our companies.
As a consequence, the number of super-yachts built in Italy and
forming the fleet of over 5000 units emerges as particularly relevant
data. The yachts built in Italy are 1494, with an average length of
more than 39 mt.

Amico & Co is one of the major global leading shipyards in Superyacht maintenance, repair and refit. The shipyard is organised with its own in-house departments,

Amico & Co has repeatedly improved and enlarged its yard facilities, creating highly qualified department units where skilled personnel can deal with a wide variety of

Cantiere Savona Srl is an innovative start-up company established in Sardinia 2010. It started the operating activities in 2012.
Its mission is designing, producing and commercializing a new eco-friendly yacht philosophy. A vessel capable of satisfying the owner as a comfortable motor boat with
the typical silence of a sailing yacht.
The Shipyard is also designing and prototyping innovative technologies, operational solutions and processes to improve the applications of solar energy in the yacht
market. The team is in closer cooperation with scientific institutions and universities to create a new solar panel for the mega yacht sector.
At the moment the shipyard is completing the first hull of Luxi33, a daily-cruiser, made entirely in Sardinia, tailor-made with eco-friendly materials, powered by hybrid
propulsion. Luxi will be launched next spring, presented in Sardinia next summer and commercialized at the main exhibitions of September.
In the meanwhile Cantiere Savona offers services of yacht refit for private and public institutions.

MagDesign offers personalized brand identity solutions for yachts, in particular for polycarbonate/acrylic customized glasses made from shatterproof materials of the
highest quality that ensures safety on board even in case of impact or accident.
Marano Arti Grafiche is a long lasting company in the traditional editing and printing sector. Recently, based upon our past experience, we started a new initiative under
a new brand, MagDesign, whose its Yacht & Sail division is specifically addressed to the yachting sector.
Graphic: The name and logo of each yacht is faithfully reproduced on the glasses, respecting the original character type, shape and colors. Our graphic department is
able to generate the artwork using original files sourced directly from the shipyard, or even using a photograph of the yacht’s stern.
Printing: The use of the exclusive direct printing technology allows Mag Design to customize any type of goblet in full color and with very high resolution, ensuring an
end-result of superb visual impact. The UV LED inks create particularly bright and reflective colours, while the special primer ensures an optimum adhesion of the

Marina di Loano, a harbour facility owned by Gruppo Unipol, enjoys a central location in Western Liguria and is easily accessible by sea and by land. Genoa airport is
73 km away (45 minutes) via highway and Nice is a 75-minute drive (135 km). Marina di Loano can accommodate 855 yachts from 6 to 77 metres in length with a draft
between 3,5 and 5 metres. A substantial breakwater encloses and protects the marina, which is easily accessible and safe even in the most adverse weather
conditions. The highlight of the Marina di Loano services are the new Superyacht Area, inaugurated on 16th April this year, and the helipad.
The new dock dedicated to Superyachts can accommodate up to seven Superyachts (from 55 to 77 meters) that increases the total capacity for superyachts to 32
berths. The Superyacht Area is composed of 3 floating finger pontoons built by Bellingham Marine. The finger pontoons, up to 77 metres long and 2.80 metres wide,
and the walkway, 122 metres long and 3.5 metres wide, are anchored by 24 steel poles, 14 metres high and with a diameter of 810 mm, driven into the harbour bed up
to half their length. All areas of operation and mooring have a five-metre (17ft) draft, Wi-Fi, video surveillance, drinking water and energy up to 400 amperes.

The fire detection system is based on the ultimate technology of analogue and addressable systems. Modularity, flexibility and availability are the key features of the

One of the most significant examples is the system architecture that meets the Safe Return to Port rule issued by IMO for passenger vessels. This architecture ensures
the full system operability in case of fire or flooding in one main fire zone.
The system architecture is based on a Main Control Panel with keyboard and color graphic VDU to which the detector loops are connected. The range of detectors
includes smoke, combined temperature and smoke, temperature and flame detectors. Baseplates are available for installation in dry or wet spaces. In cabins and public
spaces chromium plated adapters or painted detectors are available for recessed mounting to match with the interior design.

VSS covers the supply of yachts under construction fulfilling the needs of demanding owner’s project managers, the yachts already in commission and travelling
internationally with spares,Deck.safety,bridge and interior equipment and cunsumable ,gourmet foods and beverages. This service is created by an experienced and
competent team including an in-house chef to choose all the gourmet products.
All of this is supported by a large stock held at the VSS warehouse and the goods are delivered by own fleet of refrigerated trucks and vans, by this organization VSS
is able to have a reliable and cost effective delivery service.

Our company was created in 1964 by the founder of the family, Michelangelo Fucile. From that moment we have operated always to increase our professional staff
which is able to receive customers and to assist them with all their needs.
We have a very good relationship with many companies supporting the Yacht Industry, including marine agencies, shipyards and tecnicians, in order to be useful night
and day.
In 2014 we received the merit, efficiency and long service prize, related to the touristic promotion of our territory.
WHAT WE OFFER
In our marina we can moor sailing/motor yachts and mega yachts from 15mt to 80mt. We can provide with electricity and water.
As patners of several European Projects to promote a sustainable development we offer to our clients the use of a little electric car to discover the interland by little
tours created fo them or just to satisfy their needs.

We are involved in several associations ( CONFARTIGIANATO LUCCA; WISTA, ASSONAT) in order to create a strong connections with others Marina in the
Mediterranean area to offer the same high standard services quality. Our goal is to promote the territory, using the harbour as a hub to discover the
