The Alien wall system is the latest innovation from the
Favero Health Projects design team. This line is made
from high-performance COATED ALUMINIUM and
DuPont™ Corian®. The technology and design of
this product range make it absolutely unique.
L’innovativa parete Alien, ultima nata in casa Favero
Health Projects, è realizzata con materiali dalle
altissime prestazioni: alluminio verniciato e
DuPont™ Corian®. La tecnologia e l’innovazione di
questo prodotto lo rendono unico nel suo genere.
The XC wall system is made with a BILAMINATE
frame and moulded DuPont™ Corian® doors. The
integrated handle is made from the same material as
the doors.
The XB wall system is made with a BILAMINATE
frame with plastic dust-proof surround and moulded
BAYDUR doors. The Baydur doors are treated with a
scratch-resistant coating and have integrated handles.
La parete XC è realizzata con scocca in
bilaminato e ante stampate in DuPont™
Corian®. La maniglia integrata nella struttura è nello
stesso materiale dell’anta.
La parete XB è realizzata con scocca in bilaminato
con profilo perimetrale antipolvere in materiale plastico
e ante stampate in Baydur. La ante in Baydur
sono trattate con vernice antigraffio e hanno maniglie
integrate.
The XE wall system is made with a BILAMINATE
frame and MDF doors with the EMMA HANDLE.
The Emma handle has no sharp edges or seams and
was designed by the Favero Health Projects Style Team
so as to guarantee easy cleaning.

RESISTENZA
Durability has always been central to the development of all
Favero products but it is a particular strength of the Praxis
range. The materials used are the most robust on the
market and carry the best warrantees. One of the main
materials used is aluminium which though light, is both
solid and robust. Aluminium also remains stable over time,
does not rust and is easy to recycle.

La resistenza nel tempo è una prerogativa di tutti i prodotti
Favero, ma in particolar modo può identificare i sistemi di pareti
tecniche Praxis. I materiali con cui vengono realizzate sono

ma solido e robusto, rimane stabile nel tempo, non arrugginisce

MODULARITY
MODULARITà
Praxis is a modular system and every component is
extremely flexible. Each individual unit can be supplied
with wheels, feet, on a stainless steel base or wall
mounted. The result is that carts of various heights, fixed
or mobile worktops, counters, upright wardrobes, base
units or wall units can all be created from the range. A wide
variety of sizes is available so personalised solutions can be
made to fit every need.

Our technical wall systems conform to ISO 3394 which
sets a standard for the dimensions of rigid rectangular
containers. All trays and other accessories conform to
the standard which means they can all be used across
the range. With Praxis wall systems an higfhly functional
Hospital Logistics system has been created around these
practical, extremely durable trays, available in a range of
heights.
I nostri sistemi di pareti tecniche si adeguano alla norma
ISO 3394, che disciplina il dimensionamento dei contenitori
interscambiabili a 600x400 mm. Di conseguenza, anche i vassoi
e tutti gli accessori risultano conformi a tale norma, favorendo la
possibilità di interscambio. Con le pareti Praxis è stato studiato
anche un sistema operativo di Logistica Ospedaliera che si
basa sull’utilizzo di questi vassoi in altezze variabili realizzati in
materiale plastico ad altissima resistenza meccanica.
DISINFECTION
SANIFICAZIONE
Praxis è un sistema modulare dall’estrema flessibilità di impiego
di ogni componente. I singoli moduli possono essere
posizionati su ruote, su piedini, su zoccolo in acciaio inox,
o essere sospesi a muro. Sono quindi componibili in carrelli di
diverse altezze, piani di lavoro fissi o mobili, banconi, colonnearmadio, alzate o pensili. Le dimensioni si adattano ai locali e
creano configurazioni personalizzate per ogni esigenza.
Praxis units are suitable for the management, storage
and transport of sanitary materials. As the units can
be effectively disinfected, they are ideal for use in
sterile environments including wards, operating
theatres, surgeries, pharmacies and storage rooms.
The materials used have been specifically chosen so as to
provide effective infection control and to be extremely easy
to clean.
I moduli Praxis sono adatti a maneggiare, conservare
e trasportare materiali sanitari. Grazie all’elevata
disinfettabilità, sono ideali per ambienti sterili, come reparti
ospedalieri, sale operatorie, degenze, ambulatori, farmacie
e depositi. I materiali utilizzati sono stati scelti appositamente

The product has undergone and passed a range of tests in the laboratory
and certification of the results is attached at the end of this brochure.
Alien has been certified for successfully passing the most stringent
impact, vertical load, durability and heat resistance tests.

This modular system boasts zero thermal potential as aluminium is used
in the construction of all the basic components. Doors, handles and
drawer-fronts are made from DuPont™ Corian® and are classified
as Class 1 fire retardant. The result is a product with exceptional
performance and best in class fire-resistance capabilities.
Il potenziale termico dei materiali delle strutture componenti il sistema
modulare è nullo grazie all’uso di alluminio per la costruzione di tutti
gli elementi principali. Ante, maniglie, e frontali di cassetti sono
realizzati in DuPont™ Corian® e sono quindi classificati in cl. 1 di

WASHABLE
LAVABILE
The materials used in the construction of Alien units may be
thoroughly cleaned manually or machine washed, even at high
temperatures. The aluminium sheet frame is press-bent then epoxy
powder coated in a heat tunnel. The units are welded together without
any overlapping edges or box welds to avoid any areas where dirt might
build up. DuPont™ Corian® has been certified by LGA QualiTest
GmbH, an independent German testing organisation. The material
was subjected to a series of rigorous tests on its resistance to the
growth of germs and fungi and on how effectively it can be cleaned and
disinfected. The results show that it performs better than numerous other
materials commonly used in healthcare environments.
DuPont™ Corian® is also certified as compliant with international DIN
EN ISO 846 standards for hygiene.

alluminio è pressopiegata e verniciata con polveri epossidiche speciali in
tunnel termico. La saldatura dell’insieme avviene senza sovrapposizione
di bordi o rinforzi scatolati al fine di eliminare qualsiasi ricettacolo
nascosto di sporcizia. La performance di DuPont™ Corian® è stata
certificata anche dall’organizzazione indipendente tedesca LGA
QualiTest GmbH. Una serie di test rigorosi volti a determinare la stabilità
rispetto ai batteri e funghi, la facilità di pulizia, ha dimostrato la superiorità
di questo materiale rispetto a numerosi materiali convenzionali utilizzati
in ambiente sanitario. DuPont™ Corian® infatti possiede certificato di

CUTTING
DuPont™ Corian® is harder than wood. Specially designed saws
and blades must be used to cut the sheets into the desired
shapes.

POLISHING
The surfaces can be given either a polished or opaque finish based
on requirements. However DuPont recommends a semiopaque finish for optimum durability.

THERMOFORMING
DuPont™ Corian® can be thermoformed using fibre or metal moulds
at around 160 °C. The minimum internal curvature is 25mm and varies
based on the thickness and colour of the sheet. The mould is cooled
uniformly so as to prevent the formation of any surface tension
and ensure the best possible results are achieved.
TERMOFORMATURA
The material chosen for the doors is commonly used in
hospital furniture. Made from natural minerals and
advanced acrylic resins, DuPont™ Corian® responds
to the most demanding healthcare specifications and
is a valuable tool in the fight against cross-infection as it
provides a guarantee of hygiene.
The material can be coloured and shaped so as to be easy
to clean and create comfortable, welcoming environments
for patients and staff alike. It can be thermoformed, is
durable, easy to replace and allows for the total elimination
of sharp edges. It is inert, hypoallergenic, non-toxic and
naturally fireproof. As an indication of its reliability, the
product is certified for use in the food-preparation
industry.
DuPont™ Corian® surfaces do not support the growth of
bacteria, fungi or mould and the material has been certified
as hygienic in accordance with the international DIN EN
ISO 84 Standard.

Il materiale scelto per le ante è un materiale ampiamente
sfruttato nell’arredo ospedaliero.
Composto da minerali naturali e composti acrilici
avanzati DuPont™ Corian® è rispondente alle più
esigenti specifiche sanitarie, adeguato per la lotta alle
infezioni nosocomiali e garanzia d’igiene. Permette inoltre
di facilitare il confort di pazienti ed operatori permettendo
di spaziare nello studio di colori, forme, facilità di pulizia. Il
materiale infatti si presta alla termoformatura, è durevole,
rinnovabile e permette la totale eliminazione degli spigoli.

della diffusione dovuta all’affidabilità del prodotto,

dell’industria alimentare. Le superfici non consentono la
crescita di funghi e batteri, il materiale è stato certificato
da un laboratorio indipendente quale materiale igienico ai
sensi della norma internazionale DIN EN ISO 84.
Per la termoformatura di DuPont™ Corian® si possono utilizzare
stampi di compensato o di metallo a temperature di circa 160°C. Il
raggio interno minimo di curvatura è di 25 mm e varia a seconda dello
spessore e del colore della lastra. Un raffreddamento uniforme
nello stampo evita la formazione di tensioni residue a assicura
risultati ottimali.

The hinges designed and manufactured specifically for this line
by Favero Health Projects are made from aluminium alloy,
rotate to 270° and are adjustable through three axes.
They are fitted with a special device which ensures the door
always closes perfectly.
HANDLES
The attractively shaped DuPont™ Corian® handles are
thermoformed and fully integrated into the structure of the
door making a single, seamless whole which facilitates
thorough cleaning. The handle can be selected in a range of
colours to differentiate it from the door and make it more
visible.

Le maniglie sagomate DuPont™ Corian® e termoformate
a caldo si integrano nella struttura dell’anta diventando corpo
unico con questa evitando pericolosi interstizi e agevolando

TheDuPont™ Corian® doors are available with a tempered
glass insert which may be ordered transparent, or
opaque to prevent the contents from being visible.

linea da Favero Health Projects sono in lega di alluminio,
girevoli a 270° regolabili su tre assi. Sono dotate di un
dispositivo meccanico che permette la perfetta chiusura

The internal sides are made from diecast aluminium
epoxy powder coated in a heat tunnel. The sides are
designed with no sharp edges or borders. A highly effective,
internationally patented bayonet system is used to attach
the sides to the inside of the frame making removal for
thorough cleaning and disinfection tool-free and easy.
On the inside the sides are fitted with guides for trays and
shelves.
FIANCATE
Le fiancate interne sono realizzate in pressofusione

Vengono poi verniciate in tunnel termico con polveri
epossidiche. Un efficace sistema a baionetta, brevettato

DUSTPROOF EDGING

The frame is fitted with a dustproof strip which ensures airtight
closure of the doors to prevent dust and dirt built-up on the
inside of the units.
Nel perimetro frontale della scocca è presente un profilo para
polvere che consente una chiusura ermetica delle ante

The sides have a patented bayonet attachment
system. This system means they can be removed
and re-attached quickly and easily without tools.
Once removed the frame is totally accessible.

a magnetic strip is fitted around the entire edge.

LOGISTICS SYSTEM SISTEMA LOGISTICO
RE-STOCKING
CICLO DI RIAPPROVVIGIONAMENTO
We have created a working system for Hospital Logistics
based on the use of special trays in a variety of heights
made from extremely durable plastic. Movable dividers
allow for the trays to be organised around the products so as
to optimise space and create a logical system for products
in use as well as stock. The products are easily identified by
the coloured labels attached to each area. A white label on
the front of the tray signals a product that may be used
while the coloured label on the divider signals a stock
product.
Un sistema operativo di Logistica Ospedaliera si basa sull’utilizzo di
speciali vassoi in altezze variabili realizzati in materiale plastico
ad altissima resistenza meccanica. Divisori mobili consentono di
organizzare gli spazi per i prodotti all’interno dei vassoi offrendo una
logica divisione tra prodotti di immediato consumo e prodotti
di scorta. Una facile identificazione dei prodotti avviene grazie ad un
sistema di etichette colorate. L’etichetta bianca posta sul fronte
del vassoio segnala il prodotto utilizzabile, mentre l’etichetta
colorata applicata al divisorio segnala il prodotto di scorta.
Our technical wall systems are equipped with 60x40 cm
containers in compliance with ISO 3394 Standards.
As a result all trays and other accessories also conform to
the standard which means they can all be used across the
range. The innovation in the Alien technical wall system is
in the positioning of the ISO compliant trays. The same
sides and guides may be used to position the trays either
horizontally or at an angle, according to need.

Corian® doors have passed the most stringent impact, vertical load,

Among the high performance features of DuPont™ Corian® is its Class
1 fire-retardant properties. This means that all doors and drawer fronts
are in Class 1 for their reaction to fire. On request, the bilaminate frame
may also be supplied in a fire-retardant version making the entire unit
Class 1 fire-retardant.

independent German testing organisation. The material was subjected
to a series of rigorous tests on its resistance to the growth of germs
and fungi and on how effectively it can be cleaned and disinfected.
The results show that it performs better than numerous other materials
commonly used in healthcare environments. DuPont™ Corian® is
also certified as compliant with international DIN EN ISO 846
standards for hygiene.

The Praxis XB line of technical wall systems boast exceptional

and drawers are made from Baydur rigid technopolymer which is
fireproof, waterproof, non-toxic and has no sharp edges. This material
may be disinfected thoroughly and is treated with a special scratch-proof
coating. The impact-resistant easy-grip handles are built in to the
door. All metal parts are fully immersed during the moulding process so
as to guarantee exceptional strength and durability.

in healthcare environments. Another key feature of the Baydur rigid
technopolymer is that it is waterproof and very easy to disinfect.
On request, the bilaminate frame may also be supplied in a waterproof
version (though not fire-retardant at the same time) which ensures that
Praxis XB units have exceptional resistance to fluid spills and may be
disinfected effectively.

The handles are made entirely from die-cast
aluminium and are built in to the door.
The handles present no sharp edges or gaps where dust
can accumulate and facilitate easy cleaning.
The handle coating has been specifically designed
for use in environments where chemical materials are
present, and is highly resistant to external influences
including disinfectants (ethyl alcohol, UV rays, bleaching,
etc.) under normal use.
The handle coating also features an antibacterial
additive.
Le maniglie sono realizzate interamente in
pressofusione di alluminio ed incassate nella
struttura stessa dell’anta, sono prive di spigoli
vivi e di interstizi dove possa raccogliersi la polvere,
garantendone la pulizia.

To underscore how our research and long experience
are geared to improving the daily work of healthcare
professionals, we entrusted testing of our products to
independent testing bodies with ISO/IEC 17065 accreditation
certified by ACCREDIA (the Italian accreditation body).
Per evidenziare come la nostra ricerca e la nostra
esperienza siano volte a migliorare l’operatività di chi opera
professionalmente in ambito sanitario, abbiamo affidato i
test dei nostri prodotti a laboratori accreditati ISO/IEC 17065
riconosciuti e certificati da ACCREDIA (l’ente italiano di
accreditamento).
DuPont™ Corian® is classified as Class 1 fire-retardant. The
standards used for reference are: UNI 8457 & UNI 9174.
Favero’s DuPont™ Corian® doors have undergone rigorous
testing to guarantee stability and security of use in a
healthcare environment.
The tests performed are listed below:
• Vertical load on the doors: EN 14074:2004, par. 6.3.1
• Vertical impact test on glass: EN 14072:2003
• Durability of the doors with hinges on a vertical
plain: EN 14074:2004 par.6.3.3
In compliance with the standard, the DuPont™ Corian®
doors were also tested inside a ventilated heater at a range of
temperatures (from 40° to 90°C) for up to four hours. This test
was passed with excellent results.

Praxis technical wall solutions are manufactured to the
highest production standards using the highest quality
materials and are designed in accordance with the following
standards: EN 14073-2, EN 14073-3, EN 14074, UNI 8606,
UNI 8600, UNI 8601.
All units in the Praxis line are also in Class E1 for low
formaldehyde emissions.
The materials used in the manufacture of the Praxis Line have
been tested for their resistance to chlorine and chlorhexidine
derivatives, as described below:
• 1% Chlorhexidine Gluconate in aqueous solution
• 4% Chlorhexidine Gluconate in hydroalcoholic solution with
alcohol at 30°C in compliance with EN 12720:1997 standards
for surface resistance to cold liquids.
DuPont™ Corian® has received GREENGUARD® Indoor Air
Quality certification as well as LGA certification for its hygienic
properties.

Le pareti tecniche della linea Praxis sono realizzate tenendo
conto le regole di buona tecnica oltre che utilizzando dei buoni
materiali, sono state progettate nel rispetto delle norme: EN
14073-2, EN 14073-3, EN 14074, UNI 8606, UNI 8600, UNI
8601.
Inoltre i mobili della linea Praxis sono interamente in classe E1
a bassa emissione di formaldeide.
I materiali con cui è realizzata la Linea Praxis sono stati testati
per la resistenza a derivati del cloro e clorexidina
ovvero con le seguenti soluzioni:
• Clorexidina Gluconato al 1% in soluzione acquosa
• Clorexidina Gluconato al 4% in soluzione idroalcolica,
alcool a 30° secondo norma EN 12720:1997 Resistenza delle
superfici ai liquidi freddi.
Il materiale DuPontTM Corian® ha ricevuto la certificazione
GREENGUARD® Indoor Air Quality e la Certificazione LGA per
le sue proprietà igieniche.

fuoco 1. La normativa di riferimento è la UNI 8457 e UNI 9174
Le ante Favero in DuPontTM Corian® sono state sottoposte a
severi Test per garantire la stabilità e la tenuta in sicurezza in
ambito sanitario. Elenchiamo i test effettuati:
• Carico verticale sulle porte EN 14074:2004, par. 6.3.1
• Prova d’urto su vetro verticale EN 14072:2003
• Durata delle porte con cerniere su asse verticale EN
14074:2004 par.6.3.3
Inoltre l’anta in DuPontTM Corian® è stata testata all’interno
di una stufa ventilata a varie temperature (da 40 a 90°) per un
periodo di 4 ore, come lo prevede la norma ed ha superato le
prove con ottimi risultati.
