…and Italy landed at Taiwan!
For the first time the Italian Pavilion represents the Italian coin-op industry at the GTI Expo. The event, held at
Hall 1 of Taipei World Center from 10 to 12 May with a
new name. Starting from this year, the organizers
have added respectively the English and
Chinese word “Taipei” on the original
logo of the show, and rename it as
“GTI Asia Taipei Expo”.
Following the agreement between Sapar President, Paolo
Dalla Pria, and the organizers of GTI Asia Taipei Expo,
the special booth will host
representatives of some of
the main Italian companies
of entertainment, as well as
the Taiwan Pavilion did at
the Enada show in Rome.
Sapar, together with its partner Rimini Fiera, will officially
attend the show.
During the Enada – fall edition
– the Taiwan Pavilion made its first
entrance in a way foreign companies
had not experienced before. They received a space entirely devoted to Taiwanese
companies where brochures and catalogues were distributed to visitors. “Satisfaction and success”, these
were the words they used to describe the event. Having
a unique place where products and Taiwanese industry
could be officially presented has undoubtelly highlighted their presence and business. In this way, the right
light was also given to indipendence they got from China years ago. Although Taiwan island keeps on being

che permise a numerose aziende dell’isola di Formosa di promuovere la propria attività in terra italica, in maniera più vistosa di quanto
avessero avuto modo di fare nelle
precedenti edizioni delle nostre
fiere.
Uno stand che, stando ai
commenti fatti dai protagonisti, è stato abbastanza produttivo in termini sia di immagine che di business. Di
certo, il fatto di poter unire
le forze e concentrare le
attenzioni dei visitatori in
un unico spazio è stato determinante; d’altro canto,
va sottolineato che i prodotti taiwanesi sono ormai apprezzati in ogni angolo del
mondo, e non solo per una questione di prezzo. Taiwan, anche
in forza di un’indipendenza “di fatto” dalla Cina (a cui comunque continua ad essere formalmente legata), ha saputo sviluppare, grazie anche ai massicci investimenti
che gli Stati Uniti hanno cominciato a fare da quelle
parti sin dai primi anni ’50, una forza industriale e
commerciale propria, che è ben distante, per filosofia
e contenuti, dalla iper-produttività cinese, fatta di copie, lavorazioni a bassissimi costi e qualità non proprio eccellente.
È la stessa GTI, nelle 13 edizioni sin qui svol-

te, a testimoniare la costante crescita di un’industria poliedrica, fantasiosa, tecnologicamente all’avanguardia, quale è quella locale, che
ha certamente molto da offrire ai
mercati internazionali, ma che nel
contempo ha un mercato interno
così sviluppato da favorire anche
le importazioni.
Ecco perché la Sapar, in tandem
con RiminiFiera, ha deciso di creare un filo diretto con Taiwan, che
vede ora ricambiare da parte della
GTI lo spazio di rappresentanza di cui ha goduto a
Roma nella manifestazione che si svolge nella Hall1
del Taipei World Center dal 10 al 12 maggio,
con un nuovo nome. A partire da questa edizione infatti, gli organizzatori hanno modificato il logo e la
denominazione della fiera, che diventa ufficialmente
GTI Asia Taipei Expo, soprattutto visto l’ampliarsi della risonanza geografica dell’evento.
Ad occuparsi dell’organizzazione della spedizione italiana sono stati proprio i nostri partner di
Rimini, che hanno messo su un “cast” di tutto rispetto: dai principali produttori di componenti elettronici e meccanici ad alcuni dei più noti distributori
italiani, passando per alcuni grandi nomi nel campo
della produzione di apparecchi comma 6 e 7.
Insomma, l’Enada Italian Pavilion promette di essere uno dei maggiori motivi d’attrazione della rassegna, che vede in scena oltre 100 espositori – tra
cui 20 esordienti assoluti – provenienti anche da
Hong Kong, Macau, Cina, UK, Russia, Filippine,
Giappone e Korea.

Paolo Dalla Pria – poter ricambiare ora la visita che
la GTI ci ha fatto all’Enada dell’ottobre scorso. Si tratta di uno scambio commerciale e culturale che
favorirà la reciproca crescita dell’industria italiana e
taiwanese, nell’ottica di una globalizzazione di mercato che è ormai in piena fase di consolidamento. Da
parte nostra, abbiamo cercato di fare il massimo per
dare all’Italia una rappresentanza degna e qualificata, capace di coprire tutto il fronte dell’amusement e
del gaming, e mi auguro che questo possa rappresentare per noi il trampolino di lancio verso analoghe
esperienze in altre realtà fieristiche”.

Early in 50s, following to USA’s
strong investments, Taiwan had been
building up its strong economy, that
is very different from that Chinese,
even in philosophy and contents.
The more Chinese industry appears
to produce too cheap goods, lacking
in quality and reliabilty as a consequence of over-production, the more
Taiwanese industry can be described as fanciful, polyhedric, and technologically advanced.
Let’s see GTI Asia Taipei Expo. In its 14th edition, the
show has so far led its industry to even greater success,
promoting production and activities all over the world.
For those wanting to expand the export markets and
know more about the Asian gaming/amusement industry, GTI Expo has been definitely the best stage and passageway. The figures of exhibitors, visitors and signed
contracts higher and higher year by year, have confirmed this basic role.
That is why Sapar and Rimini Fiera want to strengthen
their cooperation.
The Italian expedition to GTI has been entirely organized by Sapar partner, Rimini Fiera, whose staff gathered
the most important Italian manufactures of AWPs and
videogames as well as electronic and mechanic components, and the best of Italian distributors. This is a kind of
Italy Identity Card which will be a way of attraction of the
show. GTI will host more than 100 exhibitors coming from
Cina, Macau, Hong Kong, UK, Russia, the Philippines,
Japan, and Korea. Among them, 20 will exhibit for the
first time, the total booth number is almost 800.
