Welcome on board.
Parliamo di musica, in questo numero del Magazine. E ci occupiamo di uno dei più grandi artisti italiani, Claudio Baglioni, protagonisti del ConVoi-Tour un appassionante tourbillon
di nove concerti in poco più di dieci giorni (da giovedì 10 a
sabato 19 ottobre): Torino, Padova, Firenze, Bologna, Pescara, Napoli, Bari, Catanzaro, Enna e conclusione a Roma, il 23
ottobre, nel Parco di Centocelle. Nel corso di un colloquio
con noi di Blue Panorama, il grande artista spiega la filosofia
di ConVoi, il progetto con cui intende trasformare, ma di fatto
ha già trasformato, la musica popolare italiana.
La fine dell’estate e l’inizio dell’autunno sono una stagione
magica. Clima ancora piacevole, spiagge meno affollate, alberghi senza il tutto esaurito, servizi più efficienti e personale

We talk about music in this issue of the magazine, and
with it we will be looking at one of the biggest Italian artists, Claudio Baglioni, protagonists of the ConVoi-Tour are
a passionate tourbillon of nine concerts in just over ten days
(from Thursday 10th to Saturday 19th of October): Turin, Padova, Florence, Bologna, Pescara, Naples, Bari, Catanzaro,
Enna, to then conclude in Rome on the 23th of October
in the Centocelle Park. During an interview with us at Blue
Panorama the artists explains the philosophy of ConVoi, the
project with which he intends to transform, and in fact has
actually transformed, popular Italian music.

e le playlist hanno cambiato il
nostro modo di vivere la musica ed è
giunto il momento di cambiare anche
tempo, spazio e modo di proporla.
è partito da qui – da questa intuizione semplice, ma profondamente rivoluzionaria – ConVoi, il progetto con il
quale Claudio Baglioni ha trasformato, radicalmente, senso e volto della
musica popolare. Non solo una rivoluzione creativa (che ha portato Baglioni a vivere in un nuovo modo l'arte di
scrivere canzoni), ma anche una vera
e propria rivoluzione commerciale,
che ha cambiato anche il modo di proporre e commercializzare musica. Una
intuizione che crea un netto spartiacque tra prima e dopo, fissando nuovi
standard creativi e commerciali per il
settore.
«Osserviamo tutti – ha spiegato Baglioni, illustrando il senso del progetto –
un rituale vecchio di cinquanta anni che
va da un pianoforte a uno scrittoio, dallo
studio di registrazione alla promozione
nei mass media, per dar corpo a dischi che
nascono già al passato, e che hanno ragione di esistere solo se contengono un'unità
di senso. Altrimenti sono soltanto raccolte
che, invece, sarebbe logico fare alla fine del
viaggio, quando ti volti indietro». Secondo Baglioni, «vale più la pena di guardare avanti e correre il rischio e l'entusiasmo,
tappa per tappa, giorno per giorno, sogno
per sogno, seguendo il ritmo e un miraggio
e, passo dopo passo, liberare la creatività, in
un confronto aperto e presente con il mondo,
rimettendo l'orologio con l'ora reale. Sentendo e ascoltando l'emozione».
Il dialogo e l'interazione continua tra
artista e pubblico sono, dunque, due
tra le anime pulsanti di ConVoi. Grazie
ai social-media, infatti, l'artista scambia temi, voci, impressioni, stati d’animo, che vanno a commento dei brani
pubblicati o diventano materia, non
semplicemente per delle nuove canzoni, ma per delle canzoni davvero nuove,
sempre vive e intonate al “suono” e al
“battito” di questo tempo. Con il progetto ConVoi Baglioni ha chiuso con
liturgie, regole e schemi del passato,
per seguire il flusso ininterrotto di creatività e dar vita alla musica che viene,
come viene e quando viene, nella massima libertà espressiva. Da maggio ad

anche Convoy: convoglio, appunto, il
tour con il quale Baglioni attraverserà
tutta Italia, presentando i nuovi brani
per la prima volta in versione live. Più
che un tour, ConVoi-Tour sarà un vero
tourbillon: nove concerti in poco più
di dieci giorni (da giovedì 10 a sabato
19 ottobre) da Torino alla Sicilia. Una
carovana, non solo ideale (per la prima
volta, tutto ciò che farà lo spettacolo –
palco, luci, strumenti, amplificazione,
tecnici, musicisti – viaggerà su gomma) per chiamare a raccolta chiunque
voglia vivere da pioniere l’avventura di
partire alla scoperta di nuove frontiere.
Nove città e nove raduni-concerto in
altrettanti spazi tutti diversi: una meravigliosa piazza storica (Piazza Castello, Torino), un gioiello dell’architettura
(villa Contarini: Piazzola sul Brenta,
Padova), un grande parco (Parco Nord,
Bologna), un belvedere straordinario
(Piazzale Michelangelo, Firenze), l'antistadio Flacco (Pescara), la Mostra
d'Oltremare (Napoli), una Fiera (quella
del Levante a Bari), l’area Magna Grecia (Catanzaro) e un autodromo (Pergusa, Enna). Spazi diversi che hanno in
comune il fatto di essere i luoghi nei
quali la gente si ritrova per stare insieme. Il senso del ConVoi-Tour, infatti, è
proprio quello di portare il più grande
social-network virtuale (la musica) nel
cuore di alcuni tra i più affascinanti
social-network reali (i luoghi di aggregazione) del nostro Paese.
Il ConVoi-Tour si concluderà mercoledì
23 ottobre, con un evento eccezionale
presso il parco di Centocelle a Roma,
che verrà trasmesso in diretta da Raiuno. L'area è quella nella quale sorse il
primo aeroporto italiano. «Ho scelto il
parco di Centocelle – ha spiegato Baglioni a Blue Panorama – non solo perché ho
vissuto adolescenza e gioventù in quel quartiere e, quindi, i miei sogni e le speranze di
ragazzo hanno preso forma proprio lì, ma
soprattutto per il fatto che, anche se lo si ricorda molto poco, è proprio all'aeroporto di
Centocelle che, in un lontano giorno d'aprile
del 1909, Wilbur, uno dei fratelli Wright
(gli inventori dell'aviazione moderna,
ndr) è venuto a dare dimostrazione di cosa
fosse il volo, facendo alzare da terra il mitico
Flyer, davanti a una piccola folla incredula
e ammirata».
Che dire? Chi, più di noi di Blue Panorama, può cogliere e apprezzare il
valore simbolico del fatto che la rivoluzione musicale di Baglioni spicchi il
volo proprio dal posto nel quale uno
dei due grandi pionieri dell'aviazione
dimostrò al mondo che l'uomo era finalmente riuscito a vincere il secolare
braccio di ferro contro la forza di gravità? Ha ragione Baglioni: l'ex-aeroporto di Centocelle è il luogo perfetto per
presentare un progetto davvero pionieristico e ricordare a tutti – soprattutto in un momento come questo – che
«non esistono missioni al di fuori della nostra portata e che visioni e imprese, anche
quelle che ci sembrano impossibili, si possono
realizzare davvero».

ew technologies, internet, social media,
downloading and playlists have changed the
way we live music and the moment has come
to also change the time, the space and the ways of proposing it.
It started from here – from this simple intuition, yet so
profoundly revolutionary – ConVoi, the project through
which Claudio Baglioni has drastically transformed the
direction and face of popular music. Not just a creative
revolution (which led Baglioni to live in a new way the
art of song writing), but also a real commercial revolution, which has also changed the way to propose and
commercialise music. An intuition that creates a sharp
dividing line between the before and after, setting new
creative and commercial standards for the sector.
«We observe all – said Baglioni, illustrating the meaning of the project – a fifty years old ritual ranging from
a piano to a desk, from the recording studio to the promotion in the media, to give body to songs that are
born in the past, and have a right to exist only if they
contain a joint sense of meaning. Otherwise they are
only collections, which would be logical to do only at
the end of the journey, when you look back». According to Baglioni, «it is worth more to look ahead and
to take the risks and excitements, step by step, day by
day, dream to dream, following the rhythm and an outlook, and step by step, unleash creativity, in an open
and present confrontation to the world, adjusting the

clock with the current time. Feeling and listening to the excitement».
The continuous dialogue and interaction between artist and audience are two of the souls buttons of ConVoi. Thanks to social media,
in fact, the artist exchanges themes, voices, impressions, moods, that
are in the comments of the songs published or become matter, not
simply for some new songs, but for songs that are really new, always
alive and tuned to the "sound" and the "beat" of today’s time. With
the project ConVoi, Baglioni has closed with liturgies, rules and patterns of the past, to follow the uninterrupted flow of creativity and to
give life to the music that is, as it is and when it is, in the maximum
freedom of expression.
From May to date there are nine songs in the project ConVoi offered
for download on the iTunes digital store (Con voi, Dieci dita, E noi due
là, E chi ci ammazza, Isole del Sud, L'ultima cosa che farò, In un'altra
vita, Va tutto bene and In cammino) all have jumped, immediately,
to the top of the list of most downloaded songs from the Web. On
October will be the release of the first solo album by Baglioni since
2003: it will collect the artistic fruits of these first 6 months of the life
of the ConVoi Project. ConVoi will become also Convoy, the
tour with which Baglioni will travel Italy entirely, presenting
the new songs live for the first time. More than a tour, ConVoiTour will be a real tourbillon: nine concerts in little more than
ten days (from Thursday 10th to Saturday 19th of October)
from Turin to Sicily. A caravan, not only ideal (for the first time,
all that will make the show – stage, lights, instruments, amplification, technicians, musicians – will travel by road on wheels)
to call on anyone who wants to live as a pioneer in the adventure of starting the discovery of new frontiers.
Nine cities and nine concert-gatherings in as many different
places: a beautiful historic square (Piazza Castello, Turin), an
architectural gem (Villa Contarini: Piazzola sul Brenta, Padova),
a large park (Parco Nord, Bologna), an astonishing view (Piazzale Michelangelo, Florence), the antistadio Flacco (Pescara),
the Overseas Exhibition (Naples), a Fair (that of the Levante
in Bari), the area of Magna Grecia (Catanzaro) and a racetrack
(Pergusa, Enna). Different spaces that have in common being
the places where people gather
to be together. The sense of
the ConVoi-Tour is, in fact, precisely to bring together the biggest virtual social-network (the
music) in the heart of some of
the most fascinating real socialnetworks (the meeting places)
of our country.
The ConVoi-Tour will end on
Thursday October the 23th,
with an exceptional event at
the park of Centocelle in Rome,
which will be broadcast live on
Raiuno. The area is one in which rose the first Italian airport.
«I chose the Centocelle park – said Baglioni to Blue Panorama – not only because I lived my youth and adolescence
in that neighborhood, and so my young hopes and dreams
took shape right there, but mostly for the fact that – even if it
is remembered very little – it was right at the airport of Centocelle that one day back in the April of 1909, Wilbur, one of
the Wright brothers (the inventors of modern aviation) came
to give a demonstration about a flight, making the legendary
Flyer rise off the ground, in front of a small crowd that watched
in disbelief and admiration».
What to say? Who then, more than us here at Blue Panorama,
can grasp and appreciate the symbolic value that the music revolution created by Baglioni takes flight right from the
original place where one of the two great pioneers of aviation
proved to the world that man had finally managed to win the
secular battle against the force of gravity? Baglioni is right:
the former airport of Centocelle is the perfect place to present a truly pioneering project and remind everyone – especially at a time like this – that «there are no missions outside of
our reach, and that visions and ventures, even those that seem
impossible, can really be accomplished».

Sembrerebbe proprio che le opere shakespeariane non siano solo dei capolavori letterari,
ma una vera terapia. A confermarlo è un
recente studio che parte dall’intuizione del
professore di letteratura inglese Philip Davis,
una ricerca targata UK che dimostra come la
lettura dei testi del drammaturgo generi un
benefico eccitamento neurologico. Monitorando l’attività cerebrale è stato infatti notato

faced with complex language the right
hemisphere was the most stimulated,
which is connected to autobiographical
memory. As well as strengthening the
capacity to re-elaborate own experiences, there is also the benefit that the
mind receives through the challenge it

LA BICI: EVERGREEN CHE SI RINNOVA
Dite addio alla vecchia e cara bicicletta. Arrivano dalla Germania
due nuovi modelli pronti a rivoluzionare il mondo dei velocipedi: la
Bettbike e la Fliz Bike. Se eravamo abituati a viaggiare seduti su un
tradizionale sellino, queste nuove proposte permetteranno addirittura di sdraiarsi durante gli spostamenti e di portare in spalla la propria bicicletta. La Bettbike (“bed bike”) non ha infatti proprio nulla
da invidiare a un letto matrimoniale su cui i passeggeri possono
comodamente stendersi in attesa di raggiungere la meta prefissata.
Mentre la Fliz Bike, in fibra di carbonio, senza sellino e pedali, si
indossa direttamente, permettendo a chi la sceglie di spostarsi più
velocemente nelle grandi città. è davvero il caso di dirlo allora: dal

Say goodbye to the dear old bicycle. From Germany
there are two new models ready to revolutionize the
world of cycles: the Bettbike and Fliz Bik. If we were used
to travelling sitting on a traditional saddle, these new
proposals will even allow you to lie down while travelling
and to carry the bike on your back. The Bettbike ("bed
bike") is in fact as good as a double bed on which passengers can comfortably lie down until they reach their
destination. While Fliz Bik, made in carbon fiber, without
saddle and pedals, is to be worn directly, allowing those
who choose this bike to move faster in large cities. It is
the case to say then: the cycle has travelled far.

Da oggi è possibile ottenere combustibile dall’anidride carbonica dell’atmosfera.
Come? Semplice: imitando la natura. Alcuni ricercatori dell’Università della Georgia (USA) sono riusciti a produrre carburante pulito estraendo direttamente dall’atmosfera l’anidride carbonica e modificando geneticamente un microrganismo, il
Pyrococcus furiosus. Il team guidato dal professor Michael Adams, studiando il
processo attraverso il quale le foglie convertono il biossido di carbonio, ha infatti
messo a punto un modo per selezionare il CO2 e trasformarlo successivamente in
carburante, imitando così quanto avviene in natura e fornendole un valido aiuto.

C’è chi usa il pianoforte, il violino o la chitarra, e chi, un po’
meno tradizionalista, sperimenta nuovi e insoliti strumenti
musicali, cimentandosi nella realizzazione di originali sinfonie. è questo il caso del fotografo canadese Benjamin Von
Wong che ha trasformato il suo attrezzo di lavoro in una
star creando la Nikon Symphony. Ciò che rende unica la
sua orchestra della sinfonia dello scatto è il fatto di essere
composta esclusivamente da materiale fotografico: sono i
menu, i flash, gli otturatori, le tendine a scandire il tempo
e a comporre la musica. Una trovata davvero originale che
ha suscitato parecchia curiosità nel web. è la prima volta,
infatti, che le macchine fotografiche vengono usate come
strumenti musicali e, per ora, la loro melodia non delude.

Sulle tracce
della Rivoluzione
Cubana
raggrupparono, intorno alle alture della periferia orientale della
città. Perché Santa Clara rappresentava la chiave strategica sulla
strada per raggiungere L’Avana, era l’ultima frontiera della difesa
del dittatore Batista. E fu una battaglia epica. Per quattro giorni si
sparò all’impazzata. Ancora oggi alcuni edifici della città portano
i segni di quegli scontri. La facciata dell’hotel Santa Clara Libre è
sforacchiata, come la Iglesia del Carmen, di fronte alla stazione di
polizia.
Di quella battaglia si conserva un’altra straordinaria testimonianza: il treno blindato che il Che e i suoi uomini fecero deragliare.

gesta. Diviso in due parti, il Mausoleo del Che ospita nella prima zona, dall’agosto 1997, le tombe del
Che e di sei suoi compagni caduti in Bolivia e di 14
combattenti uccisi in Guatemala, mentre la seconda
è dedicata a una fotocronistoria della vita del Che,
fin dai primi anni: in mostra ci sono foto ma anche
oggetti usati durante la sua attività come medico nel
sud di Cuba all'epoca dello sbarco con Fidel Castro,
nel 1956. Ci sono anche la giacca verde e il berretto
nero con la stella rossa a cinque punte, uno dei simboli di questo grande rivoluzionario.

all’architettura coloniale, poco lontano da Santa Clara c’è un’altra perla: Remedios. è uno dei più antichi insediamenti cubani a
rimanere fedele al proprio passato. è stato dichiarato monumento nazionale ed è già stato fatto un notevole e interessante programma di recupero. è una città antica, fondata a metà del 1500
direttamente sul mare, ma poco dopo venne trasferita nell’attuale
posizione, leggermente più all’interno rispetto alla costa, perché i
pirati compivano continue scorrerie. Non fu il solo guaio di questa
città. Verso la fine del Seicento, quando Remedios era diventato il
centro più importante della regione, un esorcista affermò che tutta
la zona era posseduta da terribili demoni. Arrivò perfino l’Inquisizione per accertare quello che l’esorcista aveva sentenziato: in
tanti vennero arsi vivi, molte case furono bruciate. E in tantissimi
scapparono verso l’interno di Cuba, a cercare un rifugio più tranquillo. Fondarono un’altra città, e la chiamarono Santa Clara.
Ecco perché origini e destino di questi due luoghi, come a volte
accade a Cuba, sembrano indissolubilmente legati. Certo, Santa
Clara e Remedios hanno poi avuto sviluppi diversi: la prima è ormai una città moderna, la seconda sembra quasi avvolta da un passato che non vuole lasciar andar via. Chiese antiche, case coloniali,
ritmi mai frenetici. E la gioia di vivere, che fa di Remedios, un’altra
palpitante gioia di Cuba.

hosts in the first area, as from August

second area is dedicated to a chronological photographic history of the life
of Che, right from early years: on show
there are photos but also objects used
during his activity as a doctor in the
south of Cuba at the time of the landing
with Fidel Castro in 1956. There is also
the green jacket and the black cap with
a red five point star, one of the symbols
of this great revolutionist.
The entire city of Santa Clara is in some
ways a living testimony of the Cuban
Revolution. It is here that in December
1958, the columns of Che were clustered

around the high ground on the eastern
outskirts of the city. This because Santa
Clara was the strategic key to reach Havana, it was the last frontier of defense
for the dictator Batista. And so it was
an epic battle. For four days they fired
wildly. Even today, some of the buildings
in this city bear the marks of those battles. The facade of the Hotel Santa Clara
Libre is marked, just as the Iglesia del
Carmen, opposite the police station.
Of that battle, preserved, there is another extraordinary testimony: the armored
train that Che and his men derailed. It
arrived from Havana filled with soldiers,
there were more than 400, with weapons
and ammunition. The military of Batista
surrendered after a brief firefight and
three of thirty wagons are still there,
where they were attacked, a testimony
and memory of that day.
Santa Clara is the glorious history of
the island and its people, a city throbbing with national pride. In the Plaza de

death, which was on the 9th of October 1967 in Bolivia.
But Santa Clara is not only about this. Today is an important industrial and University City, the capital of the province of Villa Clara and a
gateway to the eastern provinces. It is right in the middle of the island
and from here it is possible to reach, in a short time, both the side of
the islands of San Nicolas and Cayos of Camaguey, and the southern
Caribbean side, towards Trinidad. For lovers of the sea and of places
where nature prevails, it is easy to reach Cayo Santa Maria, the last of
the reefs of a chain 56 km long, with beautiful islands with wonderful
beaches. For those who instead are passionate about history and colonial architecture, not far from Santa Clara is another gem: Remedios.
It is one of the oldest Cuban settlements to remain true to its past. It
was declared a national monument and there has already been done
a remarkable and interesting program of recovery. It is an ancient city,
founded in the mid 1500's directly by the
sea, but soon after it was transferred to
its present location, slightly more inland
from the coast, because the pirates were
making continuous raids. They were not
the only trouble with this city. Towards
the end of the seventeenth century,
when Remedios became the most important center of the region, an exorcist
said that the whole area was possessed
by terrible demons. Even the Inquisition
arrived to ensure what the exorcist had
ruled: many were burned alive, many
houses were burned down. Many fled to
the centre of Cuba, to look for a quieter
retreat. They founded another city, and
called it Santa Clara.
That's why the origins and destiny of
these two places, as sometimes happens in Cuba, seem inextricably linked.
For sure, Santa Clara and Remedios had
different developments: the first is now
a modern city, the second seems surrounded by a past that does not want
to let go. Ancient churches, colonial
homes, never frantic rhythms. And the
joy of living, which makes Remedios, another throbbing joy of Cuba.
“Che” in argentino significa “compagno”, “amico”. Ernesto Guevara nacque a Rosario, in Argentina, nel 1928, da una famiglia della borghesia intellettuale. Fece pratica come medico, ma
quando cominciò a girare per l’America Latina
rimase impressionato da povertà, fame, oppressione e sfruttamento delle popolazioni. Decise
di impegnarsi per migliorare le condizioni di vita
dei meno fortunati e lottò per realizzare gli ideali socialisti. Entrò nell’esercito di liberazione di
Cuba che Fidel Castro stava organizzando. Diventarono amici inseparabili e per questo Guevara venne chiamato Che.
"Che" in Argentina means "companion",
"friend." Ernesto Guevara was born in Rosario,
Argentina, in 1928, into a family of middle-class
intellectual. He practiced as a doctor, but when
he began to travel Latin America he was taken
aback by poverty, hunger, oppression and exploitation of populations. He decided to commit
himself to improving the living conditions of the
less fortunate and fought to achieve the socialist
ideals. He entered the army of liberation of Cuba
that Fidel Castro was organizing. They became
inseparable friends and for that reason Guevara
was called Che.

o lisci. Per chi l’accusa di interpretare solo ragazze dell’est, ci tiene a precisare
che i suoi personaggi sono sempre diversi. Sceglie con cura i progetti, ponendo,
al pari di Julia Roberts, una sola condizione: non spogliarsi. Al massimo si può
vederla in costume intero da bagno o immersa fino al collo in una vasca.

her side, for the first time in Italy as an actor, there is the famous
Serbian director Emir Kusturica, and with him Adriano Giannini
and Domenico Diele, the latter being one of the most promising
faces of Italian cinema. The film, directed by Claudio Noce – already an award winning author of Good Morning, Aman in 2009
– is an Ascent Film production with RAI Cinema, produced by
Matteo Rovere and Andrea Paris. An incredible mystery develops
behind the apparent serenity of a small Alpine country. With a
storm looming in the background, a young speialised engineer
(Diele) arrives in the valley to repair a fault in the power station at
high altitude and is suddenly faced with a strange disappearance. Begins then the confrontation between the young man and
two brothers (Kusturica and Giannini) who live and work in the
area. When the boy understands the origin of the secrets hidden
in the heart of the valley, tensions explode and start a game of
distorting mirrors in which no one is immune from suspicion, not

ra il lontano 1936 e Fred Perry portava a casa il titolo
di campione di Wimbledon, applaudito dal mondo
intero e soprattutto dalla sua terra natia a cui aveva
portato onore e gloria. Dopo di lui 77 anni di silenzio, fino
ad arrivare al 7 luglio 2013: Andy Murray conquista il titolo
e regala alla sua patria la gloria. Un’impresa titanica quella
del giovane tennista (classe 1987) che dopo anni di tentativi
falliti – l’ultimo lo scorso anno, quando cadde sotto i colpi di
re Federer durante la finale – riesce a portare a casa l’ambito
titolo.
Impegno e tenacia da sempre contraddistinguono lo scozzese ma, a volte, queste qualità da sole non bastano. Murray
entra a far parte della top ten ATP dall’aprile del 2007 e, da

t was 1936 and Fred Perry took home the title of
champion of Wimbledon, applauded by the whole
world and especially by his homeland to which he
brought honor and glory. After him 77 years of silence,
up until the 7th of July 2013: Andy Murray wins the title and gives glory to his homeland. A huge challenge
for the young tennis player (born in 1987) who, after
years of failed attempts – last qualified last year, when
it went to the lobs of King Federer in the final – manages to bring home the coveted title.
Commitment and tenacity have always distinguished
the Scot but, at times, these qualities alone are not
enough. Murray joins the top ten ATP in April 2007
and, since then, he climbs the chart year after year
reaching the second place first in 2009 and then in

della nuova Volkswagen e-up. L’elettrica della casa
tedesca è pronta a conquistare il mercato europeo
puntando su comodità e sostenibilità.
Di piccole dimensioni, pensata appositamente per gli spostamenti in città, è dotata di un motore da 82 Cv di potenza
ed ha un’autonomia di 150 km. Vera rivoluzione del modello
la capacità di ricaricarsi attaccandosi a una qualsiasi sorgente di corrente: il Combined Charging System (CCS) permette di caricare il mezzo attraverso comuni prese, senza
doversi avvalere delle apposite colonnine. In soli trenta
minuti è possibile acquisire fino all’80% di capacità.
Il design della e-up è quello tipico della Volkswagen eccetto che per alcuni accessori: è dotata di una fanaleria a
led supplementare all’anteriore e al posteriore, abbellita
da rivestimenti in grigio chiaro, pelle e cromo. Elettrico
ma non per questo poco potente, il motore della e-up
è dotato di 82 Cv di potenza massima: accelera da 0 a

rgoglio della Sicilia, vulcano più grande
d’Europa, il Monte Etna entra a far parte
della World Heritage List. Prestigioso riconoscimento per l’Italia da parte dell’organizzazione
internazionale UNESCO, che lo scorso 21 giugno si
è riunita nella sua sessione annuale a Phnom Penh in
Cambogia e ha riconosciuto l’alto valore naturalistico
dell’Etna. Il vulcano situato nella provincia di Catania
diventa così il quarto patrimonio naturalistico UNESCO del Bel Paese, prima di questo le Isole Eolie, il
Monte San Giorgio – in condivisione con la vicina
Svizzera – e, ovviamente, le Dolomiti.
«I crateri della vetta, i coni di cenere, le colate di lava, le
grotte di lava e la depressione della valle del Bove fanno
dell'Etna una destinazione privilegiata per la ricerca e per
l'istruzione», scrive l'Unesco che nota come «esso continua ad influenzare la vulcanologia, le geofisica ed altre
discipline della Terra».
I siti di valore “universale eccezionale” presenti nella
lista del Patrimonio mondiale definito dall’UNESCO,
sono ad oggi 981, di cui 759 sono di tipo culturale, 193
di valore naturalistico e 29 di natura mista. I siti sono
distribuiti in 160 paesi.

the World Heritage List. A prestigious reward for Italy from the
international organization UNESCO, which met last June, on
the 21st, in its annual session in Phnom Penh in Cambodia and has
recognised the high natural value of the Etna. The volcano situated
in the province of Catania becomes the fourth UNESCO natural
heritage of the beautiful country, prior to this the Aeolian Islands, the
Mount San Giorgio – shared with neighboring Switzerland – and, of
course, the Dolomites.
«The summit craters, the cinder cones, the lava flow, lava caves and
depression of the Valle del Bove make Etna a privileged target for
research and education», writes Unesco that notices how «it continues
to influence the volcanology, geophysics and other disciplines of the
Earth».
The sites of "outstanding universal value" present in the list defined
by the UNESCO World Heritage, are now 981, of which 759 are of
cultural value, 193 of naturalistic value and 29 of mixed nature. The
sites are distributed in 160 countries.

protetta è assegnata al suo olio d’oliva extravergine, Dop Monte

per fare soltanto due esempi, restano
regine dell’estate anche quando negli
altri tradizionali luoghi di vacanza è già
autunno. E anche in questa tormenta-

Marsa Alam è posto ideale anche per
i bambini e particolarmente in questo
periodo, con un sole meno forte rispetto all’estate e con molte spiagge adatte
ai piccoli, con lunghe distese di sabbia
dove le acque sono basse. E poi offre la
sorpresa dell’incontro ravvicinato con
il dugongo, simpatico animale marino
lungo intorno ai tre metri e pesante
anche mezza tonnellata, una struttura
fisica molto massiccia che gli ha fatto
guadagnare il soprannome di “mucca
di mare”. Assolutamente pacifico, è a
rischio estinzione. Il tratto di mare in
cui si incontra con maggiore facilità
è davanti alla spiaggia di Abu Dabab,
mentre alla Dolphin House, un reef a
mezzaluna, è presente una comunità di
delfini Stenella che spesso si presentano a gruppi di oltre 200. Riservata ai
sub esperti è l’immersione all’Elphinstone Reef. Con maschera e bombole si
va fra fondali meravigliosi con alcionari
colorati che creano un giardino fiorito popolato da squali martello e pinna
bianca. Immersioni notturne all’isoletta di Wadi Gimal, dove i sub più esperti
possono esplorare avventurosi anfratti.

e si sale sulla sommità della Mole Antonelliana – l'edificio più alto della
città nonché uno dei suoi simboli più rappresentativi – e si ha cura di scegliere una giornata tersa e senza nuvole, quello che si apre allo sguardo è un
panorama mozzafiato: sullo sfondo, quasi a formare una corte di dame ingioiellate, svettano le cime innevate dei monti più celebri delle Alpi. Al di là del Monviso, del Gruppo del Bianco, del Monte Rosa, dei ghiacciai del Gran Paradiso si
stende la Francia, e di qui la via che porta all'Occidente europeo. Non è un caso
che questo sia stato un territorio lungamente conteso e strenuamente difeso: è
una porta e Torino è il suo salotto elegante. Del resto si deve ai numerosi valichi
alpini percorribili con facilità in ogni condizione climatica lo sviluppo nel corso
dei secoli di diversi centri di potere e di cultura sorti lungo le vie del commercio.

Il Nasi Goreng
e la salsa Sambal Oelek
Una ricetta indonesiana
per far riaffiorare i sapori

l Nasi Goreng, riso
fritto, è uno dei
piatti più diffusi nel
sud est asiatico: appetitoso, proteico e, nella
sua versione light (non
fritto, dunque) è possibile definirlo anche salutare. Piatto
unico a base di riso arricchito dalla carne tenera del pollo e
dai gamberetti. Come in molte altre preparazioni, anche il
Nasi Goreng può essere cucinato arricchendolo con verdure
o altri tipi di carni più saporite come ad esempio degli straccetti di manzo.
Tagliate il pollo a straccetti e fatelo saltare in un wok (o padella) con olio di arachidi. Tagliate le carote alla julienne e i
cipollotti: rosolate il pollo. Aggiungete i gamberi al pollo e
cuocete tutto insieme.
Intanto preparate il riso al vapore. Se non disponete di una
vaporiera, usate una pentola con coperchio: ponete il riso in
altrettanta acqua fredda e coprite fino a quando l’acqua non
sarà completamente asciugata.
Preparate nel frattempo una frittata con le uova. Una volta
cotta tagliatela a striscioline.
Aggiungete alle verdure la salsa di soia e la salsa sambal oelek,
versate il riso e fate cuocere a fiamma viva facendo saltare il
riso insieme a tutto il condimento.
Impiattate e aggiungete le striscioline di frittata come guarnizione. In alternativa, il piatto può essere servito con un
uovo fritto. Da servire caldo.

he nasi goreng, fried rice, is one of the most
common dishes in Southeast Asia: tasty, protein
rich, and in its light version (not fried), it may also
be defined as healthy. A stand alone dish made with rice
enriched with tender meat of chicken and shrimp. As in
many other preparations, even the Nasi Goreng can be
cooked to make it more tasty along with vegetables or
other types of tastier meat such as strips of beef.
Cut the chicken into strips and cook in a wok (or pan)
with peanut oil. Cut carrots into julienne and spring onions: sauté the chicken. Add the prawns to the chicken
and cook all together. Meanwhile, steam the rice. If you
do not have a steamer, use a pot with lid:

Cook the chili in water and bring to boil. Cover for 15 minutes. Blend

The sauce can otherwise be purchased in well supplied ethnic food

questa conosciuto come “banana album”. L’ultimo pezzo di
questo disco, European Son, rappresenta uno dei pezzi più rock

It is Lou Reed to write the introduction of this book. The author of this collection of short stories is a legendary character
of American culture.
Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground debut in 1967 with an
album destined to become one of the most influential rock
sounds around the world: The Velvet Underground & Nico,
disc known to the public also thanks to its unforgettable cover
signed by Andy Warhol and known as the "banana album".
The last piece of this album, European Son, is one of the most
rock pieces of all time, and it is this song to make a tribute to

Poetico, emblematico, personale ed impersonale il titolo del
nuovo album di Samuele Bersani: Nuvola Numero Nove. Si tratta
del suo ottavo disco di inediti ed esce il prossimo 10 settembre
su etichetta Sony Music, a quattro anni di distanza dal precedente Manifesto Abusivo e a diversi mesi della vittoria del premio
della critica al Festival di Sanremo. L’artista riminese ha scritto
ai suoi fan su Facebook annunciando l’uscita del disco e spiegando che fra un album e l’altro ci ha messo, come al solito, un
po’ di anni perché, per poter scrivere delle storie inedite, aveva
innanzitutto la necessità di viverle, come per ogni cantautore che
si rispetti. Nuvola Numero Nove non è però un disco al 100%
autobiografico, in quanto racconta anche storie che non lo riguardano direttamente ma che gli sono soltanto passate davanti.
Il primo singolo estratto dal disco si intitola Mind Your Manners. Si tratta di un pezzo potente, moderno, ma con sonorità
vintage, di una certa scuola anni ’80 e ’90. Un brano che fa aumentare le aspettative sul contenuto dell’album a livelli esponenziali. Mind Your Manners anticipa il disco dei Pearl Jam dal
titolo Lightning Bolt che è uno dei lavori, appunto, più attesi
sul panorama musicale negli ultimi anni. Anche la scelta della
copertina, da parte della band di Seattle, è indubbiamente e
simbolicamente molto forte: il cerchio bianco rappresenta un
piatto, sul quale sono poggiati una pistola e un rosario e, di
fianco al piatto, sono presenti le posate. Suggestiva, simbolica,
uno schiaffo ad una certa società conservatrice e ultracattolica
americana, contro la quale i Pearl Jam si sono sempre scagliati.

his eighth innovative
album and will be released on September the 10th on Sony Music label, four years after the previous Manifesto Abusivo and
several months from winning the Critics Award at the Sanremo
Festival. The artist, from Rimini, wrote to his fans on Facebook
announcing the release of the disk explaining that between and
an album and another, he has taken, as usual, a few years because, in order to write original stories, he had first the need to
live them, as with any respected songwriter. However, Nuvola
Numero Nove is not an 100% autobiographical album, as it also
tells stories that do not concern him directly, but that he has
watched happening.
The first single
taken from the album is titled Mind
Your Manners. It is
a powerful piece,
modern, but with
vintage sounds, a
certain school of
the 80’s and 90’s. A track that raises expectations about the
content of the album at high levels. Mind Your Manners anticipates the album of Pearl Jam titled Lightning Bolt which is
in fact one of the works most anticipated on the music scene
in recent years. Even the choice of the cover, by the Seattle
band, is undoubtedly very strong and symbolical: the white
circle represents a plate, on which there are a gun and a rosary and, next to the plate, there is the cutlery. Evocative and
symbolic, a slap in the face to a certain conservative and ultra-Catholic American society, against which Pearl Jam have
always battled.

IL PASSEGGERO
Per proteggervi contro la nuova minaccia derivante dagli esplosivi liquidi, l’Unione Europea ha adottato nuove regole di sicurezza che limitano le quantità di liquidi che possono essere
introdotti nelle aree sterili. Tali regole si applicano nei confronti
tutti i passeggeri in partenza dagli aeroporti dell’Unione Europea verso qualsiasi destinazione.
Ciò significa che ai controlli di sicurezza, il passeggero e il relativo
bagaglio a mano devono essere controllati per verificare la presenza di liquidi.
Comunque, le nuove regole non limitano la quantità di liquidi che possono essere
acquistati presso gli esercizi commerciali situati oltre il punto di controllo del titolo di viaggio od a bordo di un aeromobile di compagnia appartenente all’Unione
Europea.
Le nuove regole si applicano a partire da lunedì 6 novembre 2006, in tutti gli aeroporti dell’Unione Europea, in Norvegia, Islanda e Svizzera a meno di eventuali
modifiche.

To protect you against the new threat of liquid explosives, the European Union (EU)
introduced new security rules to limit the amount of liquids that you can take through
security checkpoints. They apply to all passengers departing from EU airports to all
destinations.
This means that, at security checkpoints, you and your hand luggage must be inspected for liquids screening in addition to other prohibited articles. However, the
new rules do not limit the liquids that you can buy at shops located beyond the
checkpoints.
The new rules are in force as to Monday 6th November 2006 at all airports in the EU
and in Norway, Iceland, Switzerland until further notice.

Jet Lag
Il vostro “orologio biologico” può a volte non gradire i cambi di fuso

Sometimes you “biological clock” may not welcome the time changes involved
in air travel and it finds ways of letting you know about this. Some of the most
common symptoms are a sense of weariness, difficulty in falling asleep at night
and appetite loss. To minimize jet lag effects, make sure you get a good night
sleep before leaving and, if you plan to stay abroad less than two days, keep you
biological clock set on your home time (i.e. keep your regular eating and sleeping
habits). In the event of a longer trip, it is advisable to get used to local time as
soon as possible and to conduct a regular and healthy life. Remember that getting over jet lag is generally quicker when travelling westwards than eastwards.

To help you feel better when you fly with us, just follow these
tips and suggestions designed to enhance your well being on
board
Stare a lungo seduti in una stessa posizione può farvi sentire a
disagio sull’aereo. Sgranchitevi gambe e braccia ogni due ore
circa. Alzatevi di tanto in tanto e camminate su e giù per il corridoio oppure fate i semplici esercizi* di stretching illustrati per
prevenire problemi circolatori.
Prolonged sitting in a fixed position can make you feel uncomfortable in the plane. Every few hours, stretch your arms and legs
or carry out some easy exercises* suggested below.
Consumate pasti leggeri, mangiate con moderazione e limitare
bevande gassate, tè e caffè.
Eat a light meal and moderate you intake of fizzy drinks, tea and
coffee.
Bevete molta acqua naturale, meglio se in piccole quantità e
spesso.
Drink plenty of water to keep you hydrated.
Moderate il consumo di bevande alcoliche, poiché queste sono
assorbite più facilmente dal corpo ad alta quota a causa della
bassa pressione dell’aria all’interno della cabina.
Moderate your intake of alcohol.
In caso di permanenza prolungata a bordo è consigliato sostituire le lenti a contatto con degli occhiali per evitare irritazioni
oculari. Togliete sempre le lenti a contatto prima di dormire.
In case of a long flight it is recommended to wear eyeglasses
rather than contact lenses. Remove contact lenses before sleeping.

Iniziate gli esercizi stando seduti in modo comodo ed eretto.
Start the exercise by sitting in comfortably in your seat in an upright position.

Poggiate entrambi i piedi sul pavimento. Flettete i piedi puntando i talloni in su e poi in giù. Ripetete per cinque volte.
Rest both feet on the floor. Flex both feet with toes pointing
upward, then point your toes downward Perform this exercise
five times.
3.
Sollevate dolcemente il ginocchio verso il busto per alcuni secondi, poi lasciatelo andare, poggiando nuovamente il piede
sul pavimento. Fate lo stesso con l’altra gamba. Ripetete cinque
volte per gamba.
Raise you knee gently towards the chest for a few seconds and
then release, placing your feet back on the floor. Continue with
the other leg. Repeat five times for each leg.
4.
Mettete le mani sotto una coscia e sollevatele dolcemente verso il busto. Ruotate la caviglia in modo circolare per 5 secondi.
Ripetete con l’altra gamba. Ripetete questo esercizio cinque
volte per gamba.
Place your hands under one thigh, and gently lift toward your
chest. Rotate your ankle in a circular motion for 5 seconds. Repeat with the other leg. Perform this exercise five times with
both legs.
