The coffee shop was founded in Pontedera in 1965 and took its
name from the old fortress of Pisa harbour. Coffee from “La
Cittadella” can be tasted in those bars, in the province of Pisa,
that can be recognized by the unmistakable brand on the
outside. Packets of “La Cittadella” coffee can be bought in many
supermarkets of the province (Coop, Panorama, etc.). Coffee
beans and ground coffee can be bought in “La Cittadella” bar, in
front of the coffee shop.

produces dried egg pasta. During the Sixties it became a
