Grußwort des Präsidenten
Greetings from the President
Evviva lo sport!
Come passa il tempo! Quando ripenso agli
inizi incerti di 31 anni fa, mi sembra ieri.
Nemmeno nei nostri più rosei sogni
avremmo potuto immaginare a quale
storia di successi avrebbe condotto
l'organizzazione della Gran Fondo Val
Casies. Dobbiamo ammettere che siamo
stati anche molto fortunati perché, fino a
oggi, nessuna edizione è mai stata
annullata! In questi anni, hanno tagliato il
traguardo ben 56.707 atleti di ogni parte
del mondo, accrescendo così senza sosta
l'interesse per questo sano sport. Ma non
dobbiamo neppure dimenticare di
ringraziare i 400 volontari, gli sponsor,
l'amministrazione pubblica, i proprietari
dei terreni e i nostri partner, senza i quali
l'allestimento di un evento di tale portata
sarebbe stato impensabile.
Attendiamo con trepidazione la 32a
edizione di febbraio 2015 e ci auguriamo
che la nostra visione continui a essere
condivisa da collaboratori, partecipanti e
ospiti di tutto il mondo.

Wie schnell die Zeit vergeht. Als wenn es
gestern gewesen wäre, erinnern wir uns
an die zaghaften Anfänge vor 31 Jahren
zurück. Nicht in den kühnsten Träumen
konnten wir damals erahnen, welch eine
Erfolgsgeschichte mit der Organisation
des GsieserTalLaufes gestartet wurde.
Ehrlich gesagt hatten wir auch sehr viel
Glück, denn seit der ersten Auflage ist
diese Großveranstaltung niemals
ausgefallen! Inzwischen registrieren wir
56.707 „Finisher“ aus allen Erdteilen und
das Interesse an dieser gesunden
Sportart ist weiterhin ungebrochen. Wir
sind sehr zum Dank verpflichtet, denn
ohne die Mithilfe und Unterstützung der
über 400 freiwilligen Mitarbeiter, der
Sponsoren, der öffentlichen Verwaltung,
der Grundbesitzer und unserer Partner
wäre die Organisation dieses Südtiroler
Sport-High-Lights undenkbar.
Wir freuen uns alle auf die 32. Auflage im
Februar 2015 und wir alle hoffen, daß
unsere Vision weiterhin von allen
Mitarbeitern, Teilnehmern und Gästen aus
aller Welt angenommen wird.

How time flies. When we look back, the
tentative beginnings of 31 years ago seem
like just yesterday. Not in our wildest
dreams could we ever have imagined
what a success story the GsieserTalLauf
Race would become. To be honest, we
were quite lucky: this huge event never
skipped an edition, not once since its
inception! We have registered 56.707
“finishers” from all over the globe in the
meantime, and enthusiasm for this
invigorating sport shows no signs of
waning. We owe many thanks to many
people; without the help and support of
over 400 willing volunteers, sponsors,
public institutions, landowners and our
partners, the organisation of this peak
sporting event in South Tyrol would simply
not be possible.
We are looking forward to the 32nd edition
in Febr uar y 2015. We hope all
collaborators, participants and guests
from all over the world will share our
vision.

to snap you in action in the Diagonal Race and
Mini-Gsieser on Saturday and the skating-style
race on Sunday. The photos will be available to
view and order a few days after the event on the
internet at www.marathon-photos.com. Each
participant will receive an automatic e-mail with
a link to his personal photos when we are online.
We will again be offering our complete package
deal, the "super pack" in which every photo is
included in original form, with logo, finishing
time and as a personal photographic record for
downloading with or without CD.
