We were building race bikes when roads were still made of gravel and dirt. It was on strade bianche that the halberd logo
first won over riders and impassioned fans. Wilier Triestina models still conquer broken pavement and cobblestones in some
of the world’s greatest races. Yet where they get the most use today is on well-paved asphalt, up challenging climbs, rolling
hills and flat, and windswept stretches of countryside. Our 2012 Road Collection is built upon a foundation that spans over

Un telaio che pesa meno di 800 grammi, un materiale inedito che esalta le virtù del carbonio, un movimento centrale super-rigido che non ammette dispersioni di forza. Zero.7 è la bicicletta più leggera mai
realizzata da Wilier Triestina ed è nata con un obiettivo preciso: fissare nuovi standard nella concezione delle più sofisticate biciclette da corsa. Una delle novità assolute di Zero.7 è BB386EVO, il nuovo sistema
integrato per il movimento centrale che Wilier Triestina ha messo a punto con la collaborazione di FSA. Il box del movimento centrale presenta una lunghezza e un diametro maggiori rispetto agli standard
tradizionali, con risultati stupefacenti in termini di rigidità. Per rendere il telaio più sicuro e confortevole abbiamo inserito un materiale dalla formulazione segreta (S.E.I. Film) fra gli strati di carbonio. Questo
ritrovato ci ha consentito di compiere un notevole passo avanti nell’assorbimento delle vibrazioni e nella resistenza all’impatto. Un’altra peculiarità di Zero.7 è lo sterzo a diametri differenziati: 1”1/8 all’estremità
superiore, 1”1/4 in quella inferiore. Questa particolare soluzione produce un bilanciamento ottimale fra la rigidità e la manovrabilità della bicicletta. Il risultato di tutti questi fattori ha un nome solo: velocità.
A frame weighing less than 800 grams, composites technology that takes carbon fiber to the next level, and a new bottom bracket system that maximizes efficiency. The Zero.7 is the lightest bike Wilier Triestina
has ever produced, and it was created with one goal in mind: to set a new standard for the most sophisticated race bikes. Zero.7 takes full advantage of BB386EVO, a new integrated bottom bracket designed by

Wilier in collaboration with FSA. The box containing the bottom bracket is wider and has a larger diameter than the traditional standards. The result is increased stiffness while enabling weight savings, which equates
to better power transfer and efficiency. The introduction of our Zero.7 also marks the first implementation of an exclusive Wilier technology: S.E.I. (Special Elastic Infiltrated) Film. The injection of a proprietary
viscoelastic film between the layers of carbon fiber increases vibration absorption and impact resistance, making the frame stronger and safer, and its ride more comfortable. S.E.I. has also enabled us to shave
weight, as the presence of this film reduces the need for intermediate modulus carbon. The Zero.7’s tapered steerer tube (from 1 1/8” to 1 1/4”) further enhances front end stability, providing the perfect balance
of lateral stiffness, comfort and precision handling. The combination of all these features makes for one thing: speed.

the bike, while keeping a focus on lightness and comfort.

box that contains the BB is wider than most at 86.5 mm, and has a diameter of 46
mm to accept a particularly light and stiff carbon crankset with a 30 mm aluminum
spindle. Testing has shown that it increases stiffness by 30% and reduces dispersion of
power to nearly Zero. It is also compatible with most prominent traditional cranksets.

To minimize the risk of breakage, we use a very low density Zinc Oxide nanoparticle
epoxy resin in our composites. This resin also makes the carbon more compact by
filling in the microscopic spaces between the fibers more thoroughly.

The outward appearance of a carbon composite does not reveal everything about its
quality. There are two crucial aspects that must be tightly controlled: the uniformity
of the thickness of the carbon, and the absence of defects on the inner surface. To
ensure top quality, Wilier Triestina has implemented the LIT (Large Inflatable Tube)
construction technique, which compacts the pre-preg fibers against the walls of the
mold, assuring an absolutely uniform thickness of the carbon.

The perfect balance between stiffness, comfort, and strength comes from a well selected combination of carbon fibers with different properties. In the Zero.7 frame,
the most stressed parts are reinforced with the super-strong MR60H fiber, that can
withstand 60 tons of pressure per square millimeter. This fiber allows us to obtain the
desired stiffness while using less material, thereby reducing weight.

A full-on race machine. All aspects of its structural design and construction were realized with a singular objective: leverage every possible
technological advantage toward enhanced performance. The SLR was developed for one of professional cycling’s most recognized and respected
teams, Lampre-ISD. Its race geometry features a longer top tube and shorter head tube, resulting in optimal aerodynamics and handling at speed
for aggressive riding and racing. Our integrated bottom bracket design boasts a superlight CNC machined aluminum sleeve molded into the
monocoque carbon during final curing. The head tube features in-molded monocoque carbon headset cups. This shaves additional weight while
providing stable and confidence-inspiring handling.

Nessuna giunzione, niente colla né viti: i forcellini posteriori costituiscono un corpo
unico con la parte inferiore del carro. Anche il punto d’incontro, tradizionalmente in
alluminio, è parte del monoblocco in carbonio. In questo settore lo spessore dei tubi
è stato potenziato per aumentarne la resistenza, pur contenendo il peso. Contemporaneamente, l’angolo è stato ammorbidito per dissipare le vibrazioni trasmesse
dal suolo.
Seamless construction that does away with joints, glues and bolts. The dropouts are
part of the unified rear triangle and an essential component of the carbon monocoque frame mold. As part of the continuous seat and chainstays, the angles of this
area of the frame structure have been relaxed to dissipate road vibrations and improve comfort as well as handling.

Nel reggisella integrato il diametro interno del tubo è di 31,6 mm, adattabile quindi
anche ad un supporto tradizionale. Nella parte inferiore il tubo aumenta progressivamente di diametro per conferire rigidità al telaio. Assieme al movimento centrale
integrato, consente un risparmio di peso pari a 120 grammi.
The seatmast is an integral part of the frame, gradually tapering to oversize dimensions until it comes into contact with the bottom bracket. Countless technical editors
have praised this feature for the responsive handling it provides. The interior diameter of the upper portion of the seatmast is 31.6 mm so that it can be cut and used
with a traditional seatpost, if necessary.

Our proprietary oversized bottom bracket design works with standard components
while at the same time providing better power transfer, more strength and increased
stability where it counts the very most. We have increased the dimensions of the
bottom bracket area by 39% over traditional designs without increasing weight.

orientation and tube shapes were all studied, determined and validated in the wind tunnel. At the same time, our engineers ensured that its ride

tube, seat tube and seatpost, the Imperiale’s chainstays are joined to the underside of its bottom bracket, forming two aerodynamic “splitters”.
The continuous stays have also been contoured to manage the frame’s final interaction with airflow as they guide it past the spinning rear wheel.
