For Those Not Receiving Holy Communion
Aware that there are often those who come to Mass who are not Catholic, or for some
reason cannot partake in Communion, we would like to invite those people in our assemblies to still come forward in the Communion procession and, as they approach
the Priest or Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, to simply cross their arms
over their chest,
so that they might receive a simple blessing.
This is a practice that is utilized in may parts of our country, as a way of making people feel more welcomed and included.

Faith Formation Office - Volunteers Needed!
Currently we are planning our 2015-2016 Faith Formation Program for children in Grades 1-7. As you can imagine, volunteer teacher, aides, and other assistants are essential to the success of our program. Though we have been blessed
with many volunteers to assist us in our ministry, the rapid growth of our Parish finds us in need of still more. A gift of
time in volunteer ministry could be a way of contributing to the mission of our Parish.
I encourage you to consider volunteering for such a position in our Faith Formation Program. The time commitment is
minimal – 1 ½ hours of class time on Wednesday, 4-5:30 p.m. and/or Saturday 9-10:30 a.m.
Full training will be provided. All you truly need is a willingness to help in nurturing
the Faith Formation of our Parish’s young people.
If you are interested please call the Faith Formation Office
from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday. 718-331-8811
We thank you for considering this invitation and hope to talk to you soon!!

Dal nostro DIACONO DANTE COLANDREA
Riflessione del mese di settembre
CONCLUSIONE
professionisti d’istruzione, insegnanti sapienti e pazienti;
