Sostituzione cinghia distribuzione
1) Rimuovere le candele mediante l’apposita chiave.
2) Posizionare il comparatore in corrispondenza del cilindro N°1
mediante l’art. USAG 1342 ruotare l’albero motore fino a rilevare il
P.M.S.
3) Rimuovere il secondo cappello di fissaggio dell’albero di distribuzione
lato aspirazione ed il terzo cappello di fissaggio dell’albero di
distribuzione lato scarico
Al momento dello smontaggio dei cappelli degli alberi di distribuzione è
necessario che essi vengano opportunamente contrassegnati affinché siano
rimontati nella loro esatta posizione. In caso contrario potrebbero insorgere
delle criticità sull’affidabilità degli alberi di distribuzione
4) Posizionare e fissare la coppia di utensili USAG Q1320…. in
corrispondenza dei cappelli staccati in precedenza
La coppia di utensili USAG Q1320…. Deve seguire esattamente il profilo delle
camme alberi distribuzione
FIAT BRAVO/BRAVA 1600-16 V
Sostituzione cinghia distribuzione
1)Scollegare le connessioni evidenziate in figura quindi rimuovere i
rocchetti di accensione agendo sui dadi di fissaggio della staffa di
supporto.
2) Rimuovere i coperchi posteriori degli alberi distribuzione agendo sui
dadi di fissaggio e scollegando i cavi di massa ad essi collegati
3)Posizionare gli utensili USAG 1340 S2 per la fasatura degli alberi di
distribuzione facendo coincidere la sede (1) dell’albero con la chiavetta
(2) ricavata sugli utensili; innestare la chiavetta nella sede e fissare
l’utensile alla testa dei cilindri in corrispondenza dei coperchi rimossi in
precedenza. Ripetere l’operazione sia per l’albero di distribuzione lato
scarico che per quello di aspirazione.
Qualora gli attrezzi non calzassero perfettamente e si rendesse necessario
ruotare gli alberi di distribuzione,allineare gli stantuffi in modo che nessuno di
essi si trovi al P.M.S. evitando così che le valvole vadano a puntare
Gli utensili USAG 1340 S2 per la fasatura degli alberi differiscono tra loro solo
per la sede di riferimento (3) ricavata nell’angolo in basso, che deve andare in
corrispondenza del tappo (4) posto sulla sovratesta cilindri
FIAT -LANCIA
Sostituzione cinghia distribuzione
1)Ruotare la puleggia dell’albero motore in senso orario fino a quando lo
<0> del disco graduato coincida con l’indice fisso
2)Ruotare l’albero motore di 10° in senso orario ed in senso antiorario
verificando sul comparatore che il valore riscontrato nella rotazione oraria
dell’albero motore sia lo stesso di quello verificato nella rotazione
antioraria
Nel caso i valori rilevati sul comparatore dopo la verifica eseguita nel punto 2
non fossero uguali,ripetere nuovamente la procedura riportata precedentemente
TENSIONAMENTO CINGHIA COMANDO DISTRIBUZIONE
3) Completare il montaggio della cinghia dentata rispettando il seguente ordine:
1. Ingranaggio albero motore ( già calzato)
2. 2.Ingranaggio pompa olio
3. Galoppino fisso
4. Puleggia distribuzione lato aspirazione
5. Puleggia distribuzione lato scarico
6. Ingranaggio tenditore automatico
4) Rimuovere la vite (1) evidenziata in figura, in modo da consentire il
posizionamento dell’utensile USAG 1343 TC per il pensionamento cinghia
comando distribuzione

Replacement distribution belt
1) Take off the sparkling plug through the right key
2) Position the comparator in correspondence with cylinder n°1 with
USAG 1320 tool and turn the camshaft till notice TDC (Top dead center
position)
3) Take off the 2° fixing cap of the camshaft suction side and the 3°
fixing of the camshaft exhaust side
At the moment of camshaft caps disassembly it is necessary that they
should be opportunely marked so that they should be reassemble in
them originary right position. In the opposite case should be some
difficulties on the camshaft reliability.
4) Position and fix the couple of tools 1320 etc. in correspondence with
caps before took off.
The couple of tools 1320 etc. should follow exactly the camshaft profile.
FIAT BRAVO/BRAVA 1600-16 V
Replacement distribution belt
1) Disconnect the parts underlined in the picture and then take off the
ignition coil operating on fixing nuts of the support bracket.
2) Remove the rear covers of the camshafts operating on fixing nuts and
disconnecting the ground cable connected to them.
3) Position the tool 1340 S2 for camshafts timing lining up the camshaft
sitting (1) to the spline (2) got on the tools ;connect the spline on the
sitting and fix the tool to the head of cylinders in connected with the
removed covers before. Repeat the operation either for the camshaft on the
suction side either for exhaust side
If the tools should be not perfect fitting and it should be necessary to turn
round camshafts, line up the pistons as none of them is on TDC (Top
dead centre position), avoiding in this way that the valves don’t point to
the cylinder head.
The tools ART. 1340 S2 for camshaft timing defer between them
only for reference setting (3) obtained in the low angle, that should
be in correspondence with the cap (4) on the cylinder head.
FIAT -LANCIA
Replacement distribution belt
1) Turn the camshaft pulley in clockwise till when the “0” of graduated
disc coincides with the fix index.
2) Turn the camshaft of 10° in clockwise and counterclockwise verifying
on the comparator that the compared value in the camshaft clockwise
rotation is the same of that-one verified in the counterclockwise rotation.
In case the noticed values on the comparator after the verify done at
point 02 will be the same, repeat again the procedure explained on the
following pages
TIGHTEN DISTRIBUTION BELT
3) Complete the toothed belt assembly as follow:

4) Take off the screw (1), to consent the position of the tool 1343 TC for
tighten distribution belt.
