L’Europeade porterà a Padova gruppi musicali e folkloristici
provenienti da tutti i paesi del Continente.
Ha una tradizione lunga quasi mezzo secolo e testimonia
la straordinaria voglia di integrazione dei cittadini europei.
Si tratta di una manifestazione culturale di prima grandezza che siamo particolarmente orgogliosi di ospitare nella
nostra città.
Nella difficile fase che stiamo attraversando, questa iniziativa assume un valore peculiare, perché per uscire dalla crisi occorre l’Unità dei Paesi europei,
una maggiore democraticità delle sue Istituzioni, una forte solidarietà tra i nostri popoli.
Ma l’Europeade è anche una grande occasione di conoscenza della tradizione e della storia
di popoli amici e una straordinaria opportunità di promozione per Padova, che potrà dimostrare l’ospitalità e la generosità della sua gente e le eccezionali bellezze culturali ed artistiche
di cui è dotata.
Un benvenuto dunque agli artisti che daranno vita ad una settimana di spettacoli, di cultura, di incontri e di amicizia.
Un saluto ai cittadini padovani e ai turisti che non vorranno perdersi questa bellissima kermesse.
Un ringraziamento sentito a tutti coloro che lavoreranno per gestire al meglio un evento di
livello internazionale.

The Europeade will bring to Padua musical and folk groups coming from different
Countries of the European continent.
Its tradition dates back almost half a century and this testifies to the extraordinary desire
for integration of European citizens.
It is a first-rate cultural event that we are particularly proud to host in our city.
In the difficult period we are going through, this event takes a particular value because, in
order to come out of the crisis, we need a real Unity of the European Countries, a deeper
democratic nature of their Institutions and a strong solidarity among our peoples.
But the Europeade is also a great opportunity to know histories and traditions of friendly
peoples as well as a big chance to promote Padua, which will be glad to demonstrate the
hospitality and generosity of its citizens and also to show its cultural and art attractions.
Then, welcome to all the artists who will animate a week of performances, culture, meetings
and friendship.
My regards to the Paduan citizens and tourists who certainly won’t miss this wonderful
kermis.
Heartfelt thanks to all the people who will work to manage at best this international event.

l’Italia. I popoli, le lingue, i colori, le danze ed il
folklore: questi sono alcuni degli atout su cui si
basa la cultura europea.
Ma soprattutto: un’Europa dell’amicizia e della
solidarietà tra i popoli.
Mi auguro che possiate godere fino in fondo di
tutte le belle impressioni.
Mi auguro che questa edizione dell’Europeade
possa essere un vero successo... in vista di mezzo secolo di Europeade!

The 49th edition of the Europeade again promises
to be a very special event, in our beautiful host
country Italy.
Several assets of our European culture will take
centre stage: people, languages, colours, dance
and folklore.
But, in particular, a Europe united by friendship
and solidarity between the peoples.
I hope that you will be able to enjoy the beauty
of all expressions to the full.
As for me, I wish the Europeade a very successful
edition ... and then we’re on our way to half a
century of Europeade!

De 49ste editie van de Europeade belooft opnieuw
een heel speciale te worden, in het prachtige

Centraal staan meerdere troeven van onze
Europese cultuur: mensen, talen, kleuren, dans
en folklore.
En vooral: een Europa van vriendschap en
solidariteit tussen mensen.

Europeade.
Esta 49a edición de la Europeade promete volver
a ser una edición muy especial, celebrada en el
precioso país anfitrión Italia.
Se centrará en numerosas bazas de nuestra
cultura europea: sus gentes, sus idiomas, sus
colores, sus bailes y su folclore.
Y sobre todo: una Europa de la amistad y la
solidaridad entre las personas.
Espero que disfruten plenamente de todas las
bonitas impresiones.
¡Le deseo mucho éxito a la Europeade... camino
de medio siglo de Europeade!

Diese Europeade im prachtvollen Gastgeberland
Italien verspricht erneut, eine sehr besondere zu
werden.
Im Mittelpunkt stehen mehrere Trümpfe unserer
europäischen Kultur: Menschen, Sprachen,
Farben, Tanz und Folklore.
Und vor allem: ein Europa der Freundschaft und
der Solidarität.

dell’Europeade,
Festeggeremo la 50a Europeade a Gotha, Turingia in Germania, città che metterà in moto tutto
il possibile al fine di accoglierci nel migliore dei
modi. Contiamo e confidiamo pienamente nel
Sindaco Knut Kreuch.
Rivolgiamo un particolare ringraziamento al
Sindaco di Padova, il sig. On. Dott. Flavio Zanonato, all’amministrazione comunale, ai collaboratori ma soprattutto non dimentichiamoci dei
numerosi volontari!
È il desiderio più ardente del Comitato dell’Europeade che tutti voi possiate ripensare soddisfatti a quest’Europeade.
Vi auguriamo un buon rientro a casa e arrivederci a Gotha.
dopo Torino e Bolzano/Bozen un’altra città del
Nord Italia può aggiudicarsi il titolo di città
dell’Europeade.
Per cinque giorni la splendida città di Padova
formerà la scenografia di effervescenti arti folkloristiche.
Canti, danze, musiche e sbandieramenti colmeranno le strade della città di Padova e del meraviglioso Prato della Valle.
Ci rallegra che vi siano così tanti gruppi che partecipano per la prima volta e siamo grati a quei
gruppi che anno dopo anno, sin dalla prima
edizione, partecipano fedelmente a quest’evento. Sono loro i nostri pilastri sui quali possiamo
continuare a costruire.
Ogni Europeade è qualcosa di diverso perciò
anche la 49a edizione sarà un po’ diversa dalla
precedente. Dopo quasi cinquant’anni è opportuno pensare a dei cambiamenti, a dei miglioramenti, sempre che, però, non ci scordiamo del
motivo per cui siamo qui insieme!
Godetevi fino in fondo tutto quanto è in grado
di offrire il nostro raduno.
Godetevi la città ospite, fatene conoscenza e apprezzatene il suo popolo.
Cari amici, non dimentichiamo che di recente il
luogo in cui ci troviamo ha avvertito delle scosse
sismiche.
Siamo vicini alle vittime e alle loro famiglie e
speriamo che questa regione possa essere risparmiata da altri sismi.

Na Torino en Bolzano/Bozen mag een andere
Noord Italiaanse stad zich Europeadestad
noemen.
Vijf dagen lang zal het prachtige Padova het
decor worden van bruisende folklorekunst.
Zang, dans, muziek en vendelzwaaien zullen de
straten van de stad Padova en het wondermooie
Prato della Valle vullen.
Wij zijn verheugd dat zo veel groepen zich
voor het eerst aanmelden en dankbaar voor die
groepen welke van bij het begin deelnamen en
jaar in jaar uit trouw op post zijn. Zij zijn onze
steunpilaren. Daar kunnen wij op bouwen.

Iedere Europeade is telkens een beetje anders.
Zo zal ook onze 49ste ietwat verschillen van de
vorige. Na bijna vijftig jaar mag zeker gedacht
worden aan verandering, verbetering.
Zolang we maar niet vergeten waarom we hier
samen zijn!
Geniet met volle teugen van wat onze samenkomst
te bieden heeft. Geniet van de gaststad, leer ze
kennen en haar bevolking te appreciëren.
Vrienden, het gebied waarin we ons bevinden
heeft de laatste tijd aardschokken meegemaakt.
Wij voelen mee met de slachtoffers en hun
families. Wij hopen dat de regio verder gespaard
mag blijven.
Onze 50ste Europeade zullen wij vieren in Gotha,
Thüringen in Duitsland.
Ook deze stad zal alles in het werk stellen om
ons optimaal te ontvangen. Wij rekenen en
vertrouwen ten volle op de burgemeester Knut
Kreuch.
Onze dank gaat uit naar de burgemeester van
Padova de heer On.Dott. Flavio Zanonato, het
stadsbestuur en medewerkers en vergeten wij
vooral niet de talrijke vrijwilligers!
Het is de vurigste wens van het Europeade Comité
dat jullie allen tevreden mogen terugblikken op
deze Europeade.
Een veilige thuiskomst en tot in Gotha.
Each Europeade is always a little different. So will
also our 49th differ somewhat from the previous
ones. After almost fifty years one can certainly
think about change, improvement.
As long as we do not forget why we are here
together!
Enjoy fully what our gathering has to offer. Enjoy
the host city, learn to know it and to appreciate
its population.
Friends, the area we are in has lately experienced
earthquakes.
We feel solidarity with the victims and their
families. We hope that the region can remain
spared further.
We will celebrate our 50th Europeade in Gotha,
Thüringen in Germany.
Also this city will make every effort to receive us
in the best possible way. We are counting with
full confidence on the Mayor Knut Kreuch.
Our thanks go out to the Mayor of Padova, Mister

and employees and let’s especially not forget the

Committee that you can all look back on this

Après Turin et Bolzano/Bozen, une autre
ville d’Italie du Nord peut se nommer Ville de
l’Européade.
Pendant cinq jours la magnifique vile de Padova
sera le décor d’art de folklore vibrant.
Le chant, la danse, la musique et les drapeaux
rempliront les rues de la de Padova et le
magnifique Prato della Valle.
Nous sommes ravis que tant de groupes nous
joignent pour la première fois et reconnaissants
pour ces groupes qui ont participé du début et
qui sont présents année après année. Ils sont nos
piliers. Nous pouvons bâtir sur eux.
Chaque Européade est toujours un peu différente.
After Torino and Bolzano/Bozen another
Northern-Italian city can call itself City of the
Europeade.
Five days long the magnificent Padova will be
the background of vibrating folklore art.
Vocals, dance, music and flag-swaying will fill
the streets of the city of Padova and the beautiful
Prato della Valle .
We are delighted that so many groups sign in
for the first time and grateful for those groups
which participated from the beginning and are
loyally present year after year on post. They are
our pillars. We can build on them.

Aussi notre 49e sera quelque peu différente des
précédentes. Après presque cinquante ans on
peut certainement penser à du changement, de
l’amélioration.
Si seulement nous n’oublions pas pourquoi nous
sommes ensemble ici!
Profitez de ce que peut offrir notre rencontre.
Profitez de la ville hôte, apprends à la connaître
et à apprécier sa population.
Amis, la zone où nous sommes a connu
dernièrement des tremblements de terre.
Nous sommes solidaires avec les victimes et leurs
familles. Nous espérons que la région peut rester
épargnée davantage.
Nous allons célébrer notre 50e Européade à
Gotha, Thüringen en Allemagne.
Aussi cette ville fera tout son possible pour
recevoir de manière optimale. Nous comptons

Nach Torino und Bolzano/Bozen darf eine
weitere Norditalienische Stadt sich Europeade
Stadt nennen.
Fünf Tage lang wird das wunderschöne Padova
ein Dekor für brausende Folklorekunst sein.
Gesang, Tanz, Musik und Fahnenschwingen
werden die Straßen der Stadt Padova und den
prächtigen Prato della Valle füllen.
Wir freuen uns, dass so viele Gruppen sich zum
ersten Mal anmelden und sind dankbar für diese
Gruppen, die vom Anfang an teilnahmen und
Jahr nach Jahr treu auf Post sind. Sie sind unsere
Stütze. Wir können auf sie bauen.
Jede Europeade ist immer ein wenig anders.
Unsere 49. wird so auch etwas von der vorherigen
Después de Torino y Bolzano/Bozen, otra ciudad
más del norte de Italia puede llamarse Ciudad
Europeade.
Durante cinco días, la preciosa ciudad de Padua
será el escenario del dinámico arte folclórico.
Los cantos, los bailes, la música y los bandereros
llenarán las calles de la ciudad de Padua y la
preciosa plaza Prato della Valle.
Nos alegramos de que tantos grupos se hayan
inscrito por vez primera y agradecemos a
aquellos grupos que vienen participando desde
el principio y que año tras año acuden fielmente
a nuestra cita. Ellos son nuestros pilares, nuestros
cimientos.

Cada Europeade es un tanto distinta de las
anteriores. También será así en esta 49a edición.
Tras casi cincuenta años ha llegado la hora de
cambiar y mejorar, ¡siempre que no olvidemos la
razón de nuestra cita anual!
Disfruten plenamente de lo que les ofrece
nuestro encuentro, disfruten de nuestra ciudad
anfitriona, descúbranla y aprecien a su población.
Amigos: la región donde nos encontramos ha
sufrido últimamente varios terremotos.
Unámonos a las víctimas y sus familias.
Esperemos que la región ya no sufra más
calamidades.
Celebraremos nuestra 50a Europeade en Gotha,
Turingia - Alemania.
También esta ciudad hará todo lo posible para
recibirnos en circunstancias óptimas. Contamos
con y confiamos en su Alcalde, Don Knut
Kreuch.
Agradecemos igualmente al Alcalde de Padua,

dell’Europeade,
Ik zal jullie blijde gezichten, en vooral jullie
warme vriendschap, erg missen !
Maar de vele dierbare herinneringen aan die
intense momenten van vriendschap en geluk
die jullie mij bezorgden, bewaar ik voor het
leven in mijn hart !
Ik dank jullie allen voor jullie onschatbaar grote
bijdrage aan een hechte vriendschap onder
de Europese Volkeren. Het blijft mijn vurige
hoop dat jullie toch ooit erkend zullen worden
door de Europese Overheden voor jullie
onbaatzuchtige inzet - en grote verdienste - voor
een gewaarborgde vrede op ons continent.
Al zien we mekaar wellicht niet meer weer, in
mijn hart hebben jullie een bijzondere plaats
voor altijd.
Mijn intense vreugde om jullie blije vriendschap
is als balsem op de wonde van het afscheid.
Ik had het jullie zo graag persoonlijk gezegd.
Het heeft echter niet mogen zijn.

Per la prima volta dal 1980 non sarò presente
all’Europeade che quest’anno vi vedrà riuniti a
Padova.
Mi mancheranno non solo i vostri volti che
sprizzano di gioia, ma soprattutto la vostra calda amicizia!
Ma non temete: porterò sempre nel cuore i tanti
cari ricordi degli intensi momenti di amicizia e
gioia che mi avete regalato!
Desidererei ringraziare voi tutti per l’incommensurabile contributo dato all’instaurazione di
una solida amicizia tra i Popoli d’Europa. Spero
ardentemente che prima o poi il vostro impegno
disinteressato e i grandi meriti conseguiti per
una pace duratura sul nostro continente vengano riconosciuti dalle Autorità Europee.
Benché molto probabilmente non sarà dato di
rivederci in futuro, voi occuperete sempre un
posto speciale nel mio cuore. E solo la gioia profonda che provo per la vostra simpatica amicizia
riesce ad alleviare questo grande dolore che provo nel darvi l’addio.
Ci tenevo molto a dirvelo personalmente, purtroppo però ciò non mi è stato possibile.

I sincerely wish I could have had the opportunity

bonheur que vous m’avez procurés !
Je vous remercie tous d’avoir œuvré à la création
d’une amitié sincère entre les Peuples européens.

votre engagement désintéressé en vue de garantir
la paix sur notre continent, car vous le méritez.

recuerdos de esos momentos intensos de amistad
y felicidad que me habéis dado!
Os agradezco a todos por vuestra inmensa
aportación a la verdadera amistad entre los
pueblos europeos. Sigo esperando vivamente que
algún día las autoridades europeas os reconozcan
por vuestros esfuerzos desinteresados y gran

zum ersten Mal seit 1980 werde ich bei der
Europeade, die dieses Jahr in Padua stattfindet,
nicht dabei sein. Mir werden eure frohen Gesichter
und vor allem das Gefühl der Freundschaft,
die uns verbindet, sehr fehlen. Doch die vielen
Erinnerungen an die wertvollen Momente tiefer

La Europeade es una manifestación destinada a promover a
través de la amistad y el respeto, la unidad entre las naciones
europeas por medio del folclore. El cáracter y la diversidad
del patrimonio cultural y tradicional de los países europeos,
representa un sentimiento de unión entre las etnias europeas.
Nuestro ideal es una Europa en paz y libertad, en la que
florezca la cultura de los pueblos. Este sentimiento de unión es
fundamental para crear una “Comunidad Europea”.

dell’imperialismo napoleonico posero fine ad una delle
più straordinarie epoche storiche, artistiche e culturali
d’Europa. I periodi di dominazione napoleonica e poi
austriaca seguiti dai due eventi bellici mondiali, provocarono un lungo periodo di stasi economica, culturale
ed artistica, da cui Padova, come il resto del Veneto, si
riprese con nuova e rafforzata coscienza a partire dalla
seconda metà del XX secolo. Oggi Padova è uno dei
maggiori centri economici del Veneto e d’Italia, nodo
di comunicazione con il resto d’Europa, splendida città
d’arte e di scienza.
Padova è una delle città più antiche e allo
stesso tempo dinamiche d’Italia.
Si trova nella Regione Veneto, nel
nord-est d’Italia, vicino a Venezia e conta circa 215.000
abitanti. Nell’elegante cuore cittadino, ricco di splendidi esempi di architettura medievale, rinascimentale e
moderna, si respira un’atmosfera singolare che unisce
i ritmi metropolitani a tradizioni millenarie. L’antico si
intreccia con il moderno, la tradizione con l’avanguardia, in un costante connubio che dona a questa bella
città un fascino particolare ed unico. La provincia è
un caleidoscopio di attrattive: dalle Terme più famose d’Europa, ai dolci Colli Euganei, oasi naturalistica
costellata di ville, castelli, monasteri, giardini e vigneti; dalle suggestive città murate medievali, alle ampie
distese di verde campagna intrecciata ad un fitto reticolo di corsi d’acqua, fino ad un tratto di laguna. Storicamente Padova sorse oltre tremila anni fa, in epoca
paleoveneta, in un’ansa del fiume Brenta. Nel 45 a.C.
divenne municipium romano e grazie a fiorenti commerci, fertili terre e abbondanza di corsi d’acqua navigabili, uno dei principali centri dell’Impero Romano.
Distrutta dai Longobardi nel 601, dopo l’anno Mille la
città si riprese economicamente e si espanse. A partire
dall’XI secolo si eressero edifici laici e religiosi: il Duomo, i Palazzi Comunali, le torri nobiliari ed un lungo
anello murario a protezione dell’abitato.
Nel Duecento sorsero lo Studio Patavino, il Palazzo
della Ragione, la Basilica di S. Antonio. Il Trecento fu il
“secolo d’oro”: la Signoria dei da Carrara diede impulso
ai commerci, all’Università e allo sviluppo artistico e
culturale. In seguito, con la caduta dei Carraresi, Padova ed il suo territorio entrarono nel Dominio della
Repubblica Serenissima di Venezia.
La presenza veneziana (1405-1797) segnò soprattutto il
territorio extra urbano, dove la nobiltà veneziana investì i propri capitali in attività agricole ed eresse stupen-

and dynamic cities in Italy. It is a city
of the Veneto Region, in the north-east
of Italy, near Venice, with a population of around
215,000 inhabitants. The city centre boasts a wealth of
fine medieval, renaissance and modern architecture;
here a fascinating mix of historic and new, of centuries-old traditions combined with metropolitan rhythms
creates a unique atmosphere. The medieval palaces,
churches and cobbled streets emanate a sense of history
and culture, the shops, markets and locals, a sparkling
vitality and vibrant modern life. The province of Padua
has a vast cultural and artistic heritage and great natural assets. One has only to think of the Euganean Hills’
rich flora and history, of the countless villas and castles scattered all over the area, of the medieval walled
towns, of the world famous Euganean spas, of the medieval monasteries and abbeys, of the old farm houses
surrounded by wide expanses of fields, of the network
of rivers, streams and canals leading to the Venetian
lagoon, a portion of which belongs to the province of
Padua. The historical Padua was actually founded over

und der zahlreichen befahrbaren Wasserstraßen zu einem der wichtigsten Zentren des Römischen Reiches.
Nach der Zerstörung durch die Langobarden im Jahr
601 erholte sich die Stadt nach der Jahrtausendwende
wirtschaftlich und wuchs. Seit dem 11. Jahrhundert
wurden sekuläre Gebäude und Kirchen gebaut: der
Dom, die städtischen Gebäude, die Türme der Adelsfamilien und ein langer Stadtmauerring zum Schutz der
Stadt. Im 13. Jahrhundert entstanden die Universität
von Padua, der Palazzo della Ragione und die Basilika des heiligen Antonius. Das 14. Jahrhundert war das
„goldene Jahrhundert“: die Herren von Carrara förderten den Handel, die Universität und die künstlerische
und kulturelle Entwicklung. Mit dem Niedergang der
Familie Carrara kamen Padua und sein Umland unter
die Herrschaft der Republik Venedig (1405-1797), die
ihre Spuren vor allem auf dem Land hinterließ, wo der
venezianische Adel sein. Kapital in die Landwirtschaft
investierte und prächtige Villen errichten ließ. Der
Niedergang Venedigs und der fortschreitende Imperialismus Napoleons setzte einer der außergewöhnlichsten historischen, künstlerischen und kulturellen Epochen in Europa ein Ende. Die Zeit der napoleonischen
und später der österreichischen Herrschaft, auf die die
zwei Weltkriege folgten, führten zu einer langen Phase der wirtschaftlichen, kulturellen und künstlerischen
Stagnierung, von der sich Padua, wie auch das übrige
Veneto, seit der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts
mit einem neuen und gestärkten Bewusstsein erholte.
Heute ist Padua eines der größten Wirtschaftszentren
im Veneto und in Italien, ein Verkehrsknotenpunkt für
ganz Europa, eine prächtige Stadt der Kunst und der
Wissenschaft.
3000 years ago, during the Paleoveneti age, when the
old Veneti people were famous thanks to their excellent
breed of horses. In the year 45 B.C. the town became
a Roman Municipium. Thanks to thriving commerce,
fruitful land and abundance of waterways, Patavium
was one of the most important and powerful centres
of the Roman Empire. During the Barbarian invasions
the town was razed to the ground by command of Langobard king Agilulf (601 A.D.) It was only after the
year 1000 that Padua registered an important growth
in wealth and power, and new imposing religious and
civil buildings, such as the Cathedral, the Commune
Palaces, towers and defensive walls were built. The 13th
and the 14th century marked a period of extraordinary economic and cultural liveliness and ardour, which
left great evidences in town: the medioaeval walls, the
foundation of the University, the Ragione Palace, the
Basilica of st. Anthony and many others. The Trecento,
historically characterized by the ruling of the Seigneury of the Da Carrara family, is considered Padua Golden Age: the art panorama was dominated by Giotto
and his followers and the city was the most important
centre of artistic production in medieval Europe. In
1405 the Da Carrara Seigneury terminated and Padua
passed under the Venetian rule. Venice fortified Padua
with new walls, increased the power of the University, and the venetian nobility invested their capitals on
the Paduan land, where beautiful villas were erected.
The decadence of the Serenissima (1797) and the
upcoming of the Napoleonic imperialism put an end
to one of the most extraordinary historical, artistical
and cultural ages of Europe. The French and the Austrian dominations, and the two World Wars produced
a long period of economic and cultural standstill, from
which Padua, as the rest of Veneto, recovered with a
new and reinforced conscioussness starting from the
second half of the 20th century. Today Padua is one of
the main economic centres of Veneto and of Italy, an
important motorway, railway and waterway junction,
which connects Italy with the rest of Europe, and last
but not least a beautiful city of art and culture. Over
three thousand years of history have left a wealth of historical buildings and places. Combining the old and
the modern, great art and beautiful artifacts, the city
centre is full of surprises.

Le déclin de la Sérénissime et l’avancé de l’Impérialisme napoléonian mirent fin à l’une des époques historiques, artistiques et culturelles les plus fabuleuses
d’Europe. La domination napoléonienne puis autrichienne suivies des deux guerres mondiales ont entrainé une longue période de stagnation économique,
culturelle et artistique dont Padoue, à l’instar du reste
de la Vénétie, n’a commmencé à se relever avec une
conscience nouvelle et accrue qu’a partir de la seconde
moitié du vingtième siècle. Aujourd’hui, Padoue est
l’un des principaux centres économiques de la Vénétie
e d’Italie, véritable noeud de communication avec le
reste de l’Europe et magnifique cité d’art et de science.

l’Empire romain. Détruite par les Lombards en 601, la
ville s’est redressée économiquement après l’an mille et
n’a dès lors cessé de s’étendre. C’est à partir du onzième

Liebe Freunde in ganz Europa,
sizieren im Anblick der 900 Jahre alten Margarethenkirche, im Schatten mächtiger Bäume des Schlossparkes den
flanierenden Gruppen zuschauen, entdecken der Kunstsammlungen in den Museen und dazu die typische Thüringer Gastlichkeit und Gothaer Herzlichkeit zu genießen,
das wird die 50.EUROPEADE in Gotha ausmachen.
Für die Übernachtungen stehen 5.000 Betten in Schulen
und Turnhallen bereit, aber natürlich warten auch die
Hotels, Pensionen und viele Privatvermieter darauf, europäisches Flair kennenzulernen. Nicht nur die Stadt Gotha, auch der Landkreis wird Gastgeber sein, so dass man
sich an 50 Plätzen wohlfühlen kann.

Trachtenverband und die Residenzstadt Gotha freuen

„Gotha adelt“ und wir freuen uns auf Euch
Gotha, die alte Haupt- und Residenzstadt mitten in Europa, lädt die Tänzer, Sänger, Musikanten, die historischen
Handwerker und Volkskundler, zur 50.EUROPEADE
vom 18. Bis 21. Juli 2013 nach Deutschland ein. Nach
vielen Jahren wagt sich wieder eine Stadt in Deutschland
an das wunderbare Projekt einer Europeade. Gotha ist
eine Stadt, deren großartige Geschichte immer wieder
Anknüpfungspunkte für die europäische Entwicklung
bieten. Bereits das Wahrzeichen der Stadt, die unterschiedlichen Türme des Schlosses Friedenstein, beherbergen nicht nur Kunstschätze von Weltrang, sondern sie
ist auch die größte frühbarocke Schlossanlage Europas.
Im Zeichen der unterschiedlichen Türme wollen wir uns
in Gotha treffen mit der Verschiedenheit unserer Heimatländer werben, um so das Band eines Europas der Regionen als modernes Netzwerk zu knüpfen. In kultureller
Vielfalt vereint, so ist das Motto unseres Festivals, dass
zum fünfzigsten Male von der Kultur der Nationen begeisterte Menschen an einem Ort zusammen führen wird.
Gotha ist eine kleine Stadt, die aus allen Himmelsrichtungen gut erreichbar ist und die Stadt wird ihre Gäste mit
dem besonderen Charme einer herzoglichen Residenz
