La tecnologia LED è un’alternativa efficiente ed economica alle
tradizionali sorgenti luminose. Il risparmio energetico è notevole: circa
il 90% rispetto alle lampade ad incandescenza, il 85% rispetto alle
lampade alogene e il 55% rispetto alle lampade fluorescenti.

luminoso e la potenza in ingresso. Dimensionalmente è espressa in
lumen/Watt. Attualmente i LED hanno un’efficienza luminosa fino a

The luminous efficiency of a light source is the ratio between the
luminous flux and the input power. Dimensionally it is expressed in
lumens/Watt. Currently, LEDs have a luminous efficacy up to 120 lm/W

La serie TANTUM - QUANTUM costituisce un programma completo di downlighters
caratterizzato dall’eleganza del design e dal numero e varietà delle soluzioni
professionali per l’illuminazione di interni. Le due diverse linee che costituiscono la
serie si distinguono per la forma della cornice, tonda (TANTUM) o quadrata
(QUANTUM), in entrambi i casi disponibile in diametro 80mm, 130mm e 210mm e
realizzata in alluminio pressofuso. Numerose sono le tipologie di sorgenti di luce
utilizzate, così come varie e tutte altamente performanti le ottiche. Gli apparecchi della
serie TANTUM – QUANTUM sono disponibili con ottiche, accessori e riflettori che
permettono di ottenere di volta in volta l’accento di luce desiderato: riflettore dark-light
o wall-washer, cross-louver, vetro satinato o trasparente IP44, gruppo ottico orientabile.

The TANTUM - QUANTUM series consists of a range of downlighters characterized by
extremely stylish design and a large number of different indoor lighting professional
solutions. The two lines making up this series stand out for the shape oftheir frame, which
is round (TANTUM) or square (QUANTUM); in both cases it is available with a 80mm,
130mm and 210mm diameter and is in die-cast aluminium. There are many different types
of light sources available, and as many high-performance optics. All appliances in the
TANTUM - QUANTUM series come with various types of optics, accessories, and reflectors
allowing to obtain the ideal light effect in all circumstances: dark-light or wall-washer
reflector, cross-louver, IP44 transparent or satin glass, adjustable optic assembly.
The range also allows to combine different appliances by means of a stylish die-cast
aluminium profile, specifically designed to create compositions capable of meeting any and
all aesthetic and decorative needs.

The wall-washer optic is characterized by an asymmetric
beam and is used to light large surfaces creating a wall-wash
effect as well as ensuring great uniformity in the vertical light
distribution (from the ceiling to the floor and vice versa) and
effectively removing shade areas.

superfici. L’effetto luce che si genera crea un'illuminazione
uniforme ed intensa limitata ad uno spazio ridotto, così da
illuminare in maniera puntuale un particolare che si vuole

The narrow beam optic is used to light up small surfaces.
The light effect that is created provides even and bright
lighting for a restricted area, so to light up accurately a detail
you wish to emphasize.
L’ottica orientabile consente di utilizzare la luce d’accento
per mettere in risalto oggetti, dettagli architettonici,
espositivi e d’arredo con estrema flessibilità e senza
dispersione di luce.
A differenza dell’ottica spot, l’apparecchio orientabile
rimane incassato nel soffitto senza alterare la spazialità dei
locali illuminati.
The adjustable optic allows to use accent lighting to highlight
objects, architectural details, furniture showrooms with
extreme flexibility and without dispersions of light. Unlike spot
optic, the adjustable one is recessed into the ceiling without
altering the space of the enlightened room.
L’ottica asimmetrica, opportunamente studiata, serve come
complemento dell’illuminazione generale, dando un senso
di uniformità all’illuminazione d’ambiente e mettendo in
luce eventuali dettagli a parete.
The asymmetric optic, properly designed, serves as a
complement to the general lighting, giving a sense of
uniformity of the lighting environment and highlighting any
details on the wall.
L’ottica spot viene utilizzata quando si vuole evidenziare,
in maniera dinamica, un dettaglio o un elemento
architetturale. Lo spot è orientabile su entrambi gli assi e
può essere concentrante o diffondente a seconda delle
dimensioni del particolare da illuminare.
The spot optic is used to highlight a detail or an architectural
element in a dynamic manner. The spot is adjustable on both
axes and can be narrow beam or diffusing depending on the
size of the part to be illuminated.

studiate appositamente per sorgenti a LED ad alta potenza, orientabili, asimmetriche, wall-washer,

all’avanguardia. TANTUM-QUANTUM risultano essere la soluzione ideale per hotel, uffici, negozi,

Arcluce mounted LED modules ranging from a power of 10W for 400 lm of TANTUM 80 - QUANTUM 80 up to 60W
for 4000 lm of QUANTUM 210. The range of powers available allows different levels of illumination depending on the
chosen diameter and type of installation. The average and maximum values of lux obtained and the glare parameters
are calculated by periodical measurements made during the entire design and development process.

I LED mantengono il 70% dell’emissione luminosa iniziale ancora
dopo 50.000 ore, secondo gli standard EN50107. Confrontando la
durata dei led rispetto alle lampade tradizionali notiamo che: la vita
media di una lampadina a filamento è di circa 1.000/1.500 ore, di
una lampada a scarica è di 4.000 ore circa e di una lampada
fluorescente è di 6.000 ore.
The LEDs retain 70% of the starting light emission even after 50,000
hours, according to the standard EN50107. Comparing the duration of
the LEDs with that of traditional lamps, we note that: the average life of a
filament bulb is about 1,000/1,500 hours, a discharge lamp is 4,000

The dissipation devices are essential for the smooth operation and long life of LED
sources: Arcluce optimizes the junction temperature of diodes using passive heat sinks
characterized by high performance achieved by the combination of highly conductive
materials and shapes that maximize the natural convection: the product has been
studied and tested in order to maintain the junction temperature below 90°C with an
external temperature of 40°C.

Con i moduli LED Arcluce, controllando
accuratamente la specifica della sorgente e
del fosforo, si ottiene un Ra (CRI) di oltre 95,
rispetto a un Ra (CRI) di oltre 80 con la
gamma standard. In genere l'indice di resa
cromatica valuta solo i primi 8 campioni di
riferimento della metrica tradizionale del CRI.
Questo modulo è ottimizzato per fornire ottimi
risultati per i campioni dei colori più saturi del set di riferimento CRI.
Per il campione di riferimento R9 (profondo rosso), si ottiene un valore di 96 per la serie 3000K. Il valore di R9
supera 85 nella serie 4000K. Questi risultati sono alla pari con quelli delle lampade alogene e superano altre
soluzioni a LED così come lampade compatte fluorescenti e ad alogenuri metallici.
With LED Arcluce modules, accurately controlling the specific of source and phosphorus, you get a Ra (CRI) of over 95,
compared to a Ra (CRI) of over 80 with the standard range. In general, the color rendering index evaluates only the first
8 samples of the traditional metric of reference of the CRI. This module is optimized to provide excellent results for
samples of more saturated colors of the reference set CRI. For the reference sample R9 (deep red), we obtain a value of
96 for the series 3000K. The value of R9 exceeds 85 in the series 4000K. These results are on par with those of other
solutions than halogen lamps and LED lamps as well as compact fluorescent and metal halide.
