Reciprocally, COSMO-SkyMed allows the same type of access to Partner’s EO systems. This interoperability is implemented through gateways which: import and maintain image data and descriptors from the Catalogues of the Partner’s systems allow the access to Partner’s data through a Interoperability Protocol developed according to CEOS guidelines manage the data importing and distribution to the Petitioners Distribution of Products with Standard Metadata: The image products are generated and managed in standard formats. In COSMO-SkyMed Civilian context: data are handled in HDF5 format with metadata according to CEOS guidelines Defense context: data are formatted according to standard STANAG 4545 NATO Secondary Imagery Format. I «PFI» (Partner Furnished Item) In the context of interoperability, a Partner’s EO system can interface COSMO-SkyMed either “Remotely”, through interoperability protocols, or At his own premises (“Locally”), embedding CSK specific capabilities As such, a Partner EO System can integrate one or more Partner Furnished Items (PFI), configured within the CSK GS architecture, and exported as a configuration item toward the partner’s system architecture to be therein operated through a standard interface Symmetrically, CSK Ground Segment design is predisposed to include PFI items imported from a Partner system, which provide a specific Partner system capability in the UGS perimeter COSMO-SkyMed PFI Suite PFI (ACQ) SCENARIO MULTI-MISSIONE System A ACQUISITION/INGESTION System B DEPOSIT/FEASIBILITY CATALOGUE/ARCHIVING PROCESSING BILLING Ground Segment Perimeter System C System D LA DUALITA’ Civilian Several Disciplines: Agriculture, Forest, Geology, Environment, Cartography DUAL Open and Accessible System SYSTEM Common Defense Priorities Management Confidentiality and Integrity National Eyes Only Availability Wide information collection (Database) Flexibility Multi-mode operation (variety of sizes and resolutions) Agility (reconfiguration and multiple acquisitions on a theater) High Reactivity Response / Revisit Time Availability & Sustainability of Services MONITORING AND COORDINATION A complete tooling set to: System Effectiveness (Ei indicators) Availability •Support MonitorSystem the sistem Efficiency peformance (Ki indicators) • Drive the decisions in order operate End to EndtoPerformance and maintain the system Check: OK 123 Configuration Anomaly Logistic support Element Status MONITORING AND COORDINATION TOOL: THE FMCS MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATION ASI/AD HIGH AUTHORITY ASI/AD H/W, S/W, ILS, OPS ENGINEERING ASI/AD UTILIZATION FMCS ASI/AD OPERATION INDUSTRIAL SUPPORT (OPERATIONS, ENGINEERING, ETC) 23 MONITORING AND TREND ANALYSES Example of report: Ki & Ei parameters 1,0000 REPORT WEEK 1 WEEK 2 0,9965 0,9950 K1 0,9900 … 0,9850 % Ki … 1,0000 0,9800 1,0000 0,9927 1,0000 1,0000 1,0000 0,9699 1,0000 WEEK 6 WEEK 7 WEEK 8 1,0000 1,0000 1,0000 1,0000 1,0000 1,0000 1,0000 1,0000 1,0000 1,0000 0,9949 0,9423 0,9949 1,0000 0,9965 0,9955 0,9944 0,9938 0,9926 0,9792 1,0000 1,00000,9998 WEEK 40,9990WEEK 5 0,9977 WEEK 3 1,0000 0,9912 0,9901 1,0000 0,9403 0,9818 1,0000 0,9781 1,0000 Ktot 1,0000 1,0000 1,0000 1,0000 0,8812 0,9737 0,8590 0,9760 0,7673 0,9843 0,9631 0,9843 0,9923 0,8649 0,9916 0,9890 0,9796 0,8187 0,9012 0,9911 1,0000 1,0000 1,0000 0,9610 0,9895 1,0000 1,0000 1,0000 1,0000 0,9111 1 2 3 0,9799 4 5 0,9999 6 7 0,9699 0,9887 0,9991 0,9990 ETOT 0,9792 0,9926 KTOT 0,9652 0,9965 KN E1 … EN 1,0000 0,9776 Etot 0,9763 0,9750 0,9700 0,9652 0,9650 0,9600 0 WEEK 8 0,9898 9 10 11 0,9776 0,9927 0,9912 0,9944 0,9955 0,9998 0,9763 0,9737 0,9818 0,9781 0,9965 0,9990 IEM in multi-national Cooperation Thanks to IEM capabilities from December 2007 a dedicated Defense User Ground Segment located in France (F-DUGS) has been integrated in COSMO-SkyMed in order to receive and generate the system products to be directly delivered to French defense users.
