I verbi riflessivi





Reflexive verbs are actions that reflect
back on the subject.
Actions that you do to yourself, like
washing your hair or brushing your teeth,
are reflexive.
Verbs that are reflexive have a “-si” after
the infinitive in your vocabulary list OR in
the dictionary.
The “-si” is called a reflexive pronoun.
You must include the appropriate reflexive
pronoun when you conjugate a reflexive
verb.

La posizione dei
pronomi riflessivi

These pronouns are placed in front of the
conjugated verb:
• Mi alzo alle sette.
• I get up (I get myself up) at 7.


They can be attached to an infinitive.
REMEMBER: When there are two (2)
verbs, only the FIRST verb is conjugated!
• Mi devo alzare alle sette.
• Devo alzarmi alle sette.
• I must get up (get myself up) at 7.
