Chelsea Kautz Little Italy is mostly restaurants. Even though the majority is food and different places to eat. The really cool thing about Little Italy is the atmosphere. Every September Little Italy host the famous two week long party known as San Genarro. Staten Island’s Italian population of origin reaches 44%. The streets are cobblestoned. During this festival two parades take place. The parades start on Mulberry Street and end on Canal Street. During the parades the statue of San Gennaro is taken from its place Most Precious Blood Church and carried around the parade. After the parades and all the celebrating has taken place they take a break for The Official Feast Day.
