In the hilly area there are four industrial sectors.
The sector which produces ceramic tiles and clothes is based
on little and medium businesses.
The sector which produces services is less developped than
agriculture and industries.
The agriculture sector relies on family entreprises.
In past years harvesting land surface diminished and the
number of businesses has fallen.
The most important products are cereals, wine and beetroot.
The fourth sector is breeding of cows and in the hilly area we
produce Parmigiano Reggiano and milk.
The production of Parmigiano Reggiano is found in the east
part.
