In the framework of the International Year of Astronomy and of the 250th anniversary of the Astronomical Observatory of Torino it is held
in Torino the Colloquium “LATEST NEWS FROM THE UNIVERSE” with the participation of the 2006 Physics Nobel Prize George
Smoot. The Conference is within the astrofundamental physics spirit of the Chalonge School and the exposed topics cover recent
observational and theoretical progress on the CMB, dark matter, dark energy, together with recent data from satellite on solar physics and
space astrometry.
