VERNILUX POL AS
ALIPHATIC TWO COMPONENT
POLYURETHANE COATING
WITH ANTISTATIC QUALITIES
VERNILUX POL AS
V E R N I L U X POL AS can be applied in low
thickness florring systems and is based on
alyphatic isocianates and special conductive
oxydes. It can be used on its own or as
finishing in the conductive sytem with
ASPELIV AS.
IMPORTANT
• Do not apply directly on very absorbent
surfaces.
• Do not apply in too thickly per hand.
APPLICATION TEMPERATURE
+5 °C to +35 °C
APPLICATION AREAS
Suitable as a topcoat for polyurethane
epoxy flooring. Used as anti-dust coating
for concrete floors (no moisture in back
pressure). Varnishing floors of workshops,
warehouses, factories, offices, workshops,
showrooms and food processing
environments and, more specially in:
- hospitals, surgery rooms
- explosive material storages
- data-processing centers
- flammable substances storages
- gas stations
- floors with magnetic tracks for robots
- electronic assembly lines and robotic
warehouses
- assembly rooms for hospital equipment
- chemical-pharma plants
WORKING TEMPERATURE
-25 ° C to + 90 ° C
APPLICATION METHOD
Substrate preparation
The substrate to be coated must be sound,
dry, free of loose or flaking material, dust,
dirt, grease, oil and any other material that
may affect the adhesion of the coating to
the substrate.
It is always necessary, before applying
the treatment, to perform a careful
sanding, followed by the aspiration of the
dust produced by industrial vacuum, to
ensure adhesion.

Product preparation
Two-component product to be mixed just
before use.
Mix contents of each part separately, then
pour Part B into Part A and mix with electric
mixer at low speed for a few minutes, until
complete homogenization. Mix only the
quantity that can be used within a
maximum workability time.
N.B. possible different color tones are not
relevant for the purposes of chemical
resistances, according to norm UNI 8298/4

PRODUCT APPLICATION
The mixed product can be applied using a shorthaired roller, by spray or airless (45:1).
To obtain a better aesthetic effect, it is
recommended to apply the product in two coats,
crossing each other and taking care not to exceed
the recommended dose.
Apply VERNILUX POL AS after no more than 48
hours at +20°C after the application of epoxy and
polyurethane bases. Depending on the method of
application the product can be diluted with a
suitable diluent DILUPOL by proportion of 3 ÷ 5%.
In case the surface is moist or there is no vapor
shield, the surface must be treated with ca. 500 to
1000 g / sqm of UMIFOND 3C (see data sheet).
After at least 48 hours at + 20 ° C, proceed in both
cases with the application of two coats of
VERNILUX POL AS. Steel surfaces must be
pre-treated with sandblasting according to
SSPC-SP10 grade SA2½, if blasting is not feasible,
provide adequate mechanical cleaning according to
specifications. Consequently apply the primer
APSEPRIMER NS 125 (see data sheet) and then
VERNILUX POL AS.
CONSUMPTION
For both glossy and matte colored finish
the indicative consumption is 0.120 to
0.150 kg
per sqm each coat,
depending on the characteristics of the
substrate on which the application method
is performed.
It is advisable to apply two coats.
Rougher surfaces or lower temperatures
increase the consumption rate and
lengthen the curing time of the material .

CLEANING
Tools used for mixing and the application of the
material can be cleaned with thinner DILUPOL for
epoxy products. Dried material on tools and mixer
can be removed mechanically .

12 months, if preserved in tightly closed containers
in dry outdoor areas at a temperature between + 5 °
C and + 25 ° C .

Irritating to eyes, skin and lungs. Inflammable
product.
VERNILUX POL AS
PRECAUTIONS
Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with
eyes. Wear suitable protective eyewear. Avoid
prolonged and repeated contact with skin. Wear
suitable gloves. Wear protective clothing.
A void inhalation of dust. In case of insufficient
ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment.
Wash soiled clothing before reuse.
SAFETY
After hardening the product becomes harmless.
During the preparation and application all the rules
relating to the procedure and handling of epoxy
resins and their hardeners must be observed. It is
recommended the use of gloves and protective
rubber clothes, avoid direct contact with skin; use
protective creams. After contact with skin, wash
with soap and water.
Avoid dispersion of the product in the environment.

FIRST AID
In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with
water. In case of breathing difficulties, move the
person to fresh air.
DISPOSAL
Dispose in landfill in accordance with local laws.
