foggiare The ultimate gentlemen’s accessory, una fibbia meccanica per
cintura, un capolavoro di precisione. Sviluppata in collaborazione con
la leggendaria Bugatti, la nuova fibbia fa concorrenza ai movimenti più
precisi dell’alta orologeria: ponti, ingranaggi, ruote, molle e pignoni, tutti
fatti a mano, sono collegati tra di loro per realizzare un meccanismo che
permette di ottenere la vestibilità più precisa possibile.
Tradizionalmente le cinture vengono proposte nella lunghezza di 90,
100, 110 o 120 cm, ma la fibbia meccanica Roland Iten R22 Mk 1-22
mm Bugatti edition sa adattarsi perfettamente a ogni taglia. Questo
sofisticato strumento permette non soltanto una regolazione alla
misura esatta del girovita, ma fornisce una portata di espansione
di 22 mm grazie a un originale ingranaggio reverso, che viene poi
discretamente nascosto. Realizzato con 100 componenti in oro bianco
puro, titanio leggerissimo e acciaio inossidabile, ogni pezzo di questa
serie in edizione limitata di appena 22 esemplari è stato completamente
fatto a mano, lucidato e assemblato da R. Magnin Bijouterie, maestri
artigiani nella produzione di orologeria di alta precisione a Ginevra, con
la supervisione dello stesso Roland Iten durante tutta la fase produttiva.
«Quando mettete in moto una Bugatti, il motore non romba come
quello di molte auto sportive, ma si accende con un suono impeccabile,
un suono che rivela il livello più elevato di armonia e dà vita a velocità
fenomenali, anche oltre 400 km/h», spiega Iten. Un accessorio
meccanico Roland Iten raggiunge lo stesso grado di eccellenza, il suono
del suo meccanismo in movimento, la sensazione tattile dei materiali,
la sua azione sono assolutamente in linea con i motori più sofisticati,
qualcosa che può essere apprezzato solo dal monsieur più esperto.
Performance e calibratura sono l’anima di tutte le creazioni di Roland
Iten. La stessa che pulsa nel Calibre R8 MK II Sport Mechanical Belt
Buckle 30 mm (Nome in codice: McQueen). La fibbia meccanica R8 Mk
II Sport rappresenta un’evoluzione dell’originale serie HE 8 / R8 MK I
creata da Roland Iten nel 2003. L’elemento caratterizzante è il doppio
ardiglione incorporato in una leva di dilatazione sportiva a tre rebbi che
trattiene con più sicurezza la cinghia di pelle, ne garantisce la longevità
e al contempo un’espansione e una contrazione più morbide rispetto
all’edizione MK I Sport, con un solo ardiglione. La leva di dilatazione a
tre rebbi, in acciaio inossidabile e titanio, antigraffio sia nella versione
in acciaio naturale sia in quella in PVD nero, permette di espandere e
contrarre la fibbia con estrema facilità ed è più leggera e adatta a sport
attivi e orientati alla performance. Roland Iten è un pioniere molto
rispettato della micromeccanica. A lui si sono rivolti importanti nomi
dell’industria orologiera, da François-Paul Journe a Greubel Forsey
e Jaeger-LeCoultre, per le fibbie da orologio che seguono le stesse

creating The ultimate gentlemen’s accessory, a mechanically performing
belt buckle that is a masterpiece of fine-tuning. Developed in association
with the legendary Bugatti company, the new buckle competes even with
the finest watch movements: hand-crafted bridges, cogs, wheels, springs
and pinions, all interconnected to create a mechanism that allows the
wearer to obtain the absolute precise fit.
Traditional belts come in lengths of 90, 100, 110 or 120 cm, but the Roland
Iten R22 MK 1-22 mm «Bugatti edition» mechanical buckle is micro
customisable to any size within its 22 millimeter range. This contemplated
adjustment to the exact waist measurement is thanks to a unique reverse
engineered gear, an invention discreetly hidden under the sapphire glass
hood of the piece. Comprised of precisely 100 components in solid white &
rose gold, lightweight titanium and stainless steel, each piece of this limited
edition series of just 22 specimens has been entirely handcrafted, polished
and assembled by master craftsmen in hi-precision watch-making in
industry of Geneva – and supervised throughout the production process by
Roland Iten himself. «When you turn the ignition of a Bugatti, it doesn’t roar
into action like so many sports cars, but it turns over flawlessly, a sound that
reveals the highest level of tuning and results in phenomenal car speeds
of over 400 km/h», explains Iten. A Roland Iten mechanical accessory

motion, the feel of the materials and its handling are at par with the most

wiser monsieur. Performance and precision are the soul of all Roland Iten
creations. The Calibre R8 MK II Sport Mechanical Belt Buckle 30mm (Code
name: McQueen) represents an evolution of the original HE 8/R8 MK I series
created by Roland Iten in 2003. The unique feature of the MK II Sport is
the double ardillon tang incorporated into a sporty three-prong expansion
lever which grips the leather strap more securely, safeguards its longevity
and affords a smoother expansion and contraction over the single ardillon,
MK I Sport edition. The scratch-proof, stainless steel and titanium “three
prong” expansion lever of both the natural steel finish and/or the black
PVD versions provides an easier access for expanding and contracting the
buckle and is more lightweight and suitable for performance-oriented and
active sports. Roland Iten is a well-respected pioneer in micro mechanics.
He has been commissioned by master watchmakers such as FrançoisPaul Journe, Greubel Forsey and Jaeger-LeCoultre for his watch buckles
following the same exigencies of calibration and fitting.
