Telecom & Security, is an italian manufacturer of innovative accessories for
telecommunications, it’s main product is the CaP® System, a revolutionary way of
making coaxial connections.
The CaP System is based on the CaP, Push-on Connector, a worldwide
patented coaxial connector entirely made of plastic. CaP is an innovative, fast and
economical connection system for coaxial cables. It substitues traditional connectors.
It is simple to use and does not require any specific tools. Thanks to its carefully
studied geometry and dimensions, a professional and very stable mechanical
connection can be obtained even when using inferior coaxial cables. It exibits high
elasticity while maintaining a high resistance to fatigue and offers a high tear strength
9
over time. It is highly resistant to attack from UV rays, water, high and low
temperatures, chemical agents, ozone, ...
CaP is a direct replacement of F-type male connector. Using proper adapters
CaP replaces any coaxial connector, like BNC, RCA, IEC, SMA/B/C, N, TNC, UHF, …
Typical Return Loss values obtained with the CaP are better than 20 dB @
frequencies <= 2 GHz .The CaP has been recognized as one of the most outstanding
products presented at CES – Consumer Electronic Show, the world’s annual largest
technology event. At this exibition CaP won 2 awards, “Best of CES” and “Innovation”,
deserved thanks to its excellence in design, performance and value. We have already
introduced our new technology in many countries (USA, Europe, Latin America,

The company was born back in 1890 in Rutigliano (near Bari, in Southern Italy).
During the 1980’s Divella increasingly acquired the characteristics of a fullyfledged national company. In fact, in 1989, a new factory was built covering 25,000
square metres on grounds of 130,000 square metres. This new factory produces
approx. 600 tons of pasta per day of over 140 different shapes of pasta and enables
management to rationalise production according to demand and to make even the
slightest changes to the dough mix and control quality standards.
Today, F. Divella S.p.A. produces around 140 thousand tons of pasta a year
with a domestic market share of 8% and an export of 30 thousand tons. In all, the
factories cover a surface area of 200,000 square metres and include: one pasta
factory, 2 hard wheat mills and one soft wheat mill, grinding 900 tons and 300
tons/day, respectively.
Activity: Production and marketing of agro-industrial foodstuffs (pasta, flour, durum
wheat semolina, tinned peeled tomatoes, tinned pulses, biscuits, extra-virgin olive oil,
balsamic vinegar, cous cous)
Markets: Apart from the company’s considerable presence in Italy, it exports around
21% of its production throughout Europe and to several African and Middle Eastern
nations, as well as many countries in North, Central and Southern America, Asia and
Oceania.

In the past years Italy created an efficient “environmental management
system”, gathering knowledge, experiences, technologies and economic resources to
manage national, regional and international environmental issues.
The Ministry for the Environment and Territory promoted international
partnerships with institutions, enterprises, NGOs, Research Institutes, Universities
and other various subjects in enhancing sustainable development policies, in order to
integrate social-economic objectives with environmental protection. Within the
Multilateral Environmental Agreements and the Johannesburg Action Plan for
Sustainable Development, the Ministry is implementing programmes with more than
25 countries.
India represents a great occasion for Italy in the area of environmental cooperation: Italy has already accomplished projects in order to phase out ozone layer
depleting chemical substances, while starting up a joint programme for planning
promotion in energetic and forestry sectors within the Kyoto Protocol. In particular, for
the implementation of Clean Development Mechanisms, a Memorandum of
Understanding will be soon signed to tackle climate change through research and
transfer of best technologies and knowledge.

the most extensive legislative and administrative autonomy, directly administers
almost all matters and areas of jurisdiction relating to the province. Its budget for 2005
was around 3960 million euro. Trentino is placed among the first few Italian regions in
terms of pro capita income and quality of life.
An alpine area with fabulous landscapes attracting millions of tourists each
year – among which the magnificent Dolomite mountains –Trentino is today trying to
bring together tradition and innovation, exploitation of its innate qualities and
openness at international level. The development strategies centre around further
training, research and scientific-technological innovation, combined with excellence in
terms of local products (wood, agriculture and food, crafts and porphyry) and with the
25
many cultural attractions present in the area (from the MART - Trento and Rovereto
Museum of Modern Art to the extensive artistic and cultural heritage).
In line with its nature as a frontier area, a link between the Latin world and
Central Europe, Trentino is also home to international organisations (OECD centre)
and is a partner in transnational organisations (Trentino-Alto Adige-Tyrol Euroregion;

The Italian National Research Council (CNR) is a public organisation of main
relevance in the field of scientific and technological research of the Country whose
original institution goes back to year 1923. CNR is a national research organisation,
with scientific research institutes distributed over Italy, which carries out activity of
primary interest aimed to the promotion of science and the progress of the Country.
The Trees and Timber Institute (IVALSA) results from the merging, on September
2002, of three previous CNR Institutes, i.e. IRL (wood research), ITL (wood
technology) and IPSL (wooden plants).
IVALSA is therefore shaped as a tree-wood chain institute: basic research and
applied research plus an important support action for product stardardisation and
professional training are the main issues for the institute. In particular IVALSA’s R&D
activity is aimed to the following areas: characterisation, selection and propagation of
tree species and biodiversity preservation; valorisation and protection of the agroforest environment; quality improvement of timber production in forests and
plantations including biomass exploitation; promotion of wood technology and civil
industrial uses of timber.
Specific experimental work on wood is carried out through the Laboratories,
e.g., Wood Anatomy, Phisical & Mechanical identification, Decay & Preservation,
Wood Chemistry and adhesives, Fire reaction and resistance, Wood drying.
In addition a large documentation data base is available for wood and wooden
products.

Regione Piemonte is the institutional government of Piedmont, region situated
in North West of Italy. Our region has a network of small and large businesses willing
to invest on quality, development, innovation, ideas and facts.
Piedmont did so in the textile industry, in automotive design, in automation and
is doing so in the new economy.
Piedmont did so opening to the world the gates of its treasures.
International guests who visit Piedmont for the first time often say it came as an
extremely pleasant surprise, rich, as it is, in landscapes, locations, scenery and
opportunities to experience an extremely high quality of life.
Piedmont wants to surprise you today, with its excellent quality wine and food
and with its marvellous land.
A land which has kept a distance from short-lived fads which may have made
the region haughty but certainly kept away wicked urbanisation.
Today, Piedmont comes out into the open with ideas, events, structures and
laws and will certainly continue to do so for the next years.
Come to meet and question this green land between Europe and the sea, even
before reaching the Salone del Gusto, with the very important event “Terra Madre” or
the “Museo del Cinema”, the most important museum dedicated to the cinema in
Europe.
You will be fascinated, as it always happens, by a region who has history,
character, emotions and challenges but never shouts it out loud.
Treat yourself to more. Treat yourself to Piedmont.

and Tourism sectors. Its objective is to support and favour the production system
internationalisation through a series of specific promotional actions. As concerns the
economic field, the task of the Tuscany Region is to program the activities linked to
promotion and internationalisation, while their accomplishment relies on Toscana
Promozione - the agency to promote Tuscany economically – by means of a regional
law.
b)
The regional Plan of International Cooperation and Partnership Activities. It
establishes the priority objectives and intervention strategies in major geographical
areas: the Middle and South Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean, Africa, Asia and
Latin America. The leading objective is the creation of the Regional System of
International Cooperation based on the integrated action of different subjects
operating at local level.

It is virtually impossible to find a concise slogan or pinpoint a predominant trait
that can convey the multifaceted archipelago represented by the region of Umbria.
Umbria a land that is the symbol of spirituality, but one that is also known for
the taste and aroma of its food specialities and wines, Umbria is a place marked by
the peaceful stillness of its environmental oases. Yet it is also a land that moves to
the beat of jazz during the shows and events that are staged here. Enchanting little
towns and art cities – each with its own history, each with its own traditions – paint the
portrait of an entire region.
A land also home to numerous small businesses that are spread throughout its
many towns, bringing its name to every corner of the globe. Indeed the region's
world-class companies of undoubted significance range from typical handicraft
manufacturers to producers of the most sophisticated, high-level technologies.
