Pochi materiali come il vetro hanno la capacità
di catturare la luce e di riverberarla attorno
a sè. Trasparente come un cristallo di ghiaccio,
anche quando è perfettamente incolore il
vetro riflette i colori dell’iride, oppure, con
l’aggiunta di ossidi assume le sfumature delle
pietre preziose. Nell’antichità le mescole e i
procedimenti per produrre il vetro erano
custoditi gelosamente ed i manufatti
commerciati nel Mediterraneo come
mercanzia preziosa destinata a pochi
privilegiati. Anche oggi un bel lampadario,
un vaso colorato, o una scultura in vetro
rendono personali e unici un arredamento.
Ann Sofie ha fatto uscire il vetro artigianale
dall’ambito dell’oggettistica per renderlo un
elegante contrappunto per i rivestimenti
murali: listelli, gemme, formelle, si sposano
a piastrelle ceramiche, al legno naturale, alla
pietra, allo stucco colorato. Tocchi scintillanti
che rendono unici un bagno, la lobby di un
hotel, una boutique esclusiva.
Glass capability for capturing and reflecting
light is rare.
Glass is transparent as an ice-crystal: even
when it is completely colourless, it reflects
the colours of rainbow and if some oxides
are added to it, glass takes on the shades
of precious stones.
In ancient times, the mixtures and the
procedures to produce glass were jealously
preserved and these products were traded
in the Mediterranean area as precious goods
for privileged few.
Still today, a fine chandelier, a coloured vase
or a glass sculpture render an interior
decoration personal and unique.
Thanks to Ann Sofie, the handicraft glass is
no longer a simple glassware, but an elegant
counterpoint to wall coverings: fillets, gems
and tiles perfectly wed to baked clay tiles,
natural wood, stone, coloured stucco, etc.
These products are glittering strokes that
make of a bathroom, of a hotel lobby or of
a fashionable boutique an unique place.

mosse che imprigionano polveri metalliche
e lucidi bagliori.
Aqua metal e Acqua lucida danno un tocco
vibrante a superfici ceramiche e lapidee..

soffuso e burattate per frastagliare e
arrotondare i bordi, infine verniciate sul fondo
perchè non si alteri il colore in superficie.
Un contraltare ideale per rivestimenti in marmo
anticato e gres porcellanato mat.
ANCIENT GLASSES
How do we create the perfect answer
to the coverings of antique marbled
and porcelain stoneware? Firstly, by
creating an overspread chromatic
effect by sand-blasting deep coloured
tiles, secondly, by sieving these tiles
in order to indent and round off their
borders and, finally, by painting their
background to avoid any alteration
of the colour on the surface.
