AVVERTENZE
Dopo aver tolto l’imballaggio assicurarsi dell’integrità dell’apparecchio; in caso di dubbio non
utilizzarlo e rivolgersi a personale professionalmente qualificato. Gli elementi dell’imballaggio
(sacchetti in plastica, polistirolo, punti metallici, ecc…) non devono essere lasciati alla portata di
bambini o persone irresponsabili, in quanto possibili fonti di pericolo, ma vanno smaltiti secondo

Prima di collegare l’apparecchio accertarsi che i dati di targa (tensione, ecc..) corrispondano a
quelli della vostra rete di distribuzione elettrica. Questo apparecchio deve essere collegato ad una
presa di corrente dotata di un efficace dispositivo per la messa a terra. In generale è sconsigliato
l’uso di adattatori, prese multiple e/o prolunghe; se il loro uso si rendesse indispensabile, devono
essere conformi alle vigenti norme di sicurezza e la portata in corrente (ampères) non deve
essere inferiore a quella massima dell’apparecchio. La ditta costruttrice declina ogni
responsabilità nel caso questa norma antinfortunistica non venga rispettata.

fisiche, sensoriali o mentali siano ridotte, oppure con mancanza di esperienza o di conoscenza, a

Questo apparecchio è destinato unicamente all’uso domestico, principalmente per la tostatura di
pane a fette, ma anche per scaldare alimenti solidi, secondo le modalità riportate nel presente
manuale.
Non immergere l'apparecchio in acqua o in altro liquido, né per pulirlo né per qualsiasi altra
ragione. Non mettere l’apparecchio in lavastoviglie.
Non usare l’apparecchio in prossimità di sorgenti di calore.
Togliere la spina dalla presa di corrente prima di pulire l’apparecchio.

all’apparecchio e non storcerlo.
Posizionare l’apparecchio lontano da altre fonti di calore e da elementi o quant’altro che possono
venire a contatto con le parti calde, e verificare che la superficie d’appoggio sia stabile,
orizzontale (non in pendenza) in quanto l’apparecchio potrebbe ribaltarsi.
Posizionare l’apparecchio lontano da contenitori di liquidi (ad esempio, lavelli ecc.) per evitare
schizzi d’acqua o che vi possa cadere.

La temperatura delle parti accessibili può essere molto alta durante l’uso. Non toccare le
parti calde dell’apparecchio. Utilizzare sempre le maniglia.
Assicuratevi che le parti calde dell’apparecchio non entrino in contatto con materiali facilmente
infiammabili come tende, tovaglie...poiché durante il funzionamento potrebbero incendiarsi.

La presa di corrente deve essere facilmente accessibile in modo da poter disinserire con facilità
la spina in caso di emergenza.
L’apparecchio non deve essere posizionato immediatamente al di sotto di una presa di
corrente.
Utilizzare l’apparecchio per la sola cottura di alimenti per il consumo.
Se il cavo di alimentazione è danneggiato, esso deve sostituito dal costruttore o dal suo servizio

PRIMO UTILIZZO
La tostiera è composta da due piastre riscaldanti, incernierate fra loro: una è solidale alla base, l’altra
al corpo superiore. Base e corpo hanno apposita maniglia, che permette di aprire comodamente la
piastra superiore e, disposti gli alimenti fra le piastre, di richiuderla per la tostatura/cottura.
L’impugnatura ha un gancio che trattiene chiuse le due piastre sia durante la cottura (in questo caso
l’alimento non deve debordare dalle piastre), e quando si ripone la tostiera dopo l’uso.
Durante il primo utilizzo, le piastre antiaderenti potrebbero produrre del fumo; questo fenomeno è
normale, non indice di cattivo funzionamento dell’apparecchio. Prima di utilizzare la tostiera si
consiglia di detergere le piastre con un panno morbido leggermente umido, asciugarle, e poi lasciare
funzionare l’apparecchio a vuoto (senza alimenti) per alcuni minuti.
USO
•
Verificare che le piastre siano perfettamente pulite: nel caso pulirle con un panno umido, e poi
asciugare perfettamente.
•
Inserire la spina nella presa di corrente, una spia luminosa indica l’accensione dell’apparecchio.

La tostiera inizia il riscaldamento e, raggiunta la temperatura di cottura, si accende l’altro
segnalatore luminoso: l’apparecchio è pronto per l’uso.
•
Aprire completamente la piastra superiore (90° circa) ed inserire, tra le piastre, gli alimenti
precedentemente preparati che non devono debordare dalle piastre.
•
Richiudere la tostiera; verificare regolarmente il grado di cottura degli alimenti.
•
Il toast sarà cotto in 2/3 minuti o un po’ di più secondo i gusti, per altri alimenti controllare lo
stato di cottura. Terminata la cottura estrarre il toast con l’aiuto di una paletta di legno, non
utilizzare degli utensili in metallo, in quanto potrebbero danneggiare il rivestimento antiaderente.
Fare attenzione, affinchè la piastra superire non si richiuda inavvertitamente.
•
Per spegnere la tostiera disinserire la spina dalla presa di corrente, e farla raffreddare
completamente prima di rimuoverla.
Qualche suggerimento per un risultato migliore
•
Preriscaldare sempre l’apparecchio prima dell’uso.
•
Per farciture contiene grassi, utilizzare dei fette di pane bianco o nero.
•
Può essere utilizzato del burro aromatico.
•
Spalmare del lardo sui tranci di pane che arrostiscono per accentuare il gusto.
•
Spargere dello zucchero all’esterno delle fette di pane per ottenere una preparazione più
croccante.
PULIZIA E MANUTENZIONE
Attenzione: prima di pulire l’apparecchio, spegnerlo, disinserire la spina dalla presa di corrente ed
attendere che si sia raffreddato.
•
Per la pulizia dell’apparecchio usare un panno morbido, leggermente inumidito con acqua (non
utilizzare pagliette metalliche o prodotti abrasivi). Poi asciugare accuratamente.
•
Quando non si utilizza l’apparecchio, riporlo in un luogo asciutto.
•
Verificare periodicamente la buona condizione del cordone elettrico; per la sua sostituzione
necessita un utensile speciale: rivolgersi a un centro assistenza autorizzato anche per eventuali
riparazioni.
SMALTIMENTO DELLE APPARECCHIATURE ELETTRICHE ED ELETTRONICHE:
DIRETTIVA 2002/96/CE
Se si decide di non utilizzare più l’apparecchio, si raccomanda di renderlo inoperante tagliando il
cavo di alimentazione (prima assicurarsi d’aver tolto la spina dalla presa di corrente), e di rendere
innocue quelle parti che sono pericolose qualora utilizzate per gioco dai bambini.
Per preservare l'ambiente e la nostra salute, l'eliminazione dei vecchi apparecchi elettrici e elettronici
non più utilizzati, va fatta secondo la direttiva sopra citata che impone l'obbligo al costruttore, al
commerciante e all'utilizzatore di consegnare gli apparecchi ai centri di raccolta specializzati, i quali
saranno in grado di smaltire e riciclare i vecchi prodotti come la legge prescrive.
Per questa ragione troverete apposto sull'etichetta segnaletica il simbolo
che indica di non
gettare il vecchio apparecchio non più utilizzato, in pattumiera o nel cassonetto delle immondizie.
Per eliminare il vecchio apparecchio non più utilizzato, potete consegnarlo al rivenditore il cambio di
quello nuovo acquistato, o direttamente nei centri di raccolta specializzati messi a disposizione dal
vostro comune di residenza.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
After removing the packing materials, check the integrity of the heater; if you are unsure, do not
use it and ask for qualified professional help. The packing materials (plastic bags, polystyrene
foam, nails, etc.) must be kept out the reach of children because they are potential sources of
danger.
Before connecting the appliance, check that the voltage shown on the data plate matches that of
your electricity and that the electric plug is grounded. In the event of incompatibility between the
electric outlet and the plug of the appliance, have the outlet replaced with another more suitable
type by professionally qualified personnel, who will make sure that the section of the wires of
the outlet is appropriate for the absorbed power of the appliance. In general, the use of adapters
or extension cords is not recommended; if their use is indispensable, they must conform to
existing safety standards and their current capacity (amperes) must not be less that the maximum
of the appliance.
The power socket must be easy to reach so the plug can be removed quickly in case of
emergency.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,

Your appliance must never be switched on through an external timer or any kind of separate
remote control system.
Do not use the appliance with a timer or a programmer or with a system that can switch on the
appliance automatically, to avoid risk of fire, since a fire risk exists if the heater is covered or
positioned incorrectly.
If the electric cord is damaged, it has to be replaced by the supplier or an authorized service
center or a professionally qualified, to avoid any risks.

FIRST USE
During the first use, the non-stick coated baking plates could produce some smoke; this
is NOT harmful, it is normal and will disappear after a short time. Before the first use, we advise you
to clean the baking plates with a soft damp cloth and to operate the appliance for 10 minutes without
food.
USE
•
Insert the plug in the power socket, the pilot light will come on to indicate that the appliance is
switched on.
•
The appliance starts to preheat; when the cooking temperature is reached, then the ready light
will come on and the sandwich maker is ready for use.
•
Fully open the sandwich maker. Place the sandwich you prepared on the baking plate.
•
Close the appliance and check the food during the cooking process.
•
Your sandwich will be toasted in 2 to 3 min or longer to suit your taste. Open the toaster and
remove the sandwich using a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use a metal knife as this may
damage the non-stick coating.
•
Unplug immediately when finished.
HINTS FOR BEST RESULTS
•
Always preheat before use. Plug cord into power outlet while preparing the fillings.
•
Flavoured butter may also be used.
•
For additional flavour use bacon dripping. Brush drippings on the outside of the bread.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Attention: before cleaning the appliance, switch it off, remove the plug from the outlet and wait for it
to cool.
•
Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean the body; do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive
products.
•
When the appliance is not in use, place it in a dry environment.
•
If you decide not to use the appliance anymore, we recommend making it inoperative by cutting
through the power cord (first make sure that you have removed it from the current socket), and
render the parts that are dangerous if used in child’s play innocuous.
•
A special tool is required to replace the power cord: take the appliance to a qualified after-sales
centre.

POUR VOTRE SECURITE

Posez cet appareil sur une table ou un support suffisamment stable pour éviter sa chute.
Ne mettez pas l'appareil sur une surface délicate telle qu'une nappe ou un revêtement
verni.
Veuillez laisser refroidir votre appareil avant nettoyage et avant rangement.
Veillez à ce que le cordon n’entre pas en contact avec des surfaces chaudes de
l’appareil.
La température des surfaces accessibles peut être élevée lorsque l'appareil

Ne faites cuire que des aliments appropriés à la cuisson et propres à la consommation.
N’utilisez pas l’appareil comme source de chaleur.
Si le câble est endommagé, il doit être obligatoirement remplacé par un service qualifié
compétent ou par une personne qualifiée.
Cet appareil n'est pas destiné à fonctionner au moyen d'un temporisateur externe ou
avec un système de commande à distance séparé afin d’éviter tout risque de feu car le
feu pourrait se déclarer si l’appareil est couvert d’un tissu ou mal positionné.
ATTENTION: ne couvrez pas l’appareil lorsque celui-ci est en fonctionnement afin
d’éviter les risques d’incendie.
PREMIERE UTILISATION
La couche antiadhésive produira de la fumée lors de la première utilisation. Celle-ci n'est

UTILISATION
• Branchez la fiche de votre appareil dans la prise de courant. Le témoin lumineux de
fonctionnement s’allume, vous indiquant ainsi que l’appareil est sous tension.
• L'appareil préchauffe. Lorsque la température est atteinte, le témoin lumineux de
température s’allume. L'appareil est prêt à l'emploi.
• Ouvrez entièrement l’appareil. Mettez le sandwich que vous aurez préparé au préalable
sur la plaque de cuisson.
• Mettez la tranche de pain du haut avec le côté beurré au-dessus et fermez l'appareil.
Veillez à ne pas entrer en contact avec la vapeur qui s'échappera de votre croquemonsieur.
• Votre croque sera cuit en 2 à 3 minutes ou en plus de temps selon votre goût. Ouvrez
l’appareil et retirez le croque-monsieur à l’aide d’une spatule en bois ou en plastique.

N’utilisez jamais d'instruments en métal car ceux-ci pourraient endommager le
revêtement antiadhésif.
Refermez l’appareil afin de préserver la chaleur jusqu’à ce que vous remettiez d'autres
sandwichs.
Nous vous conseillons de préparer d’autres croque-monsieur pendant la cuisson des
premiers.
Veuillez débrancher l’appareil immédiatement après l’emploi.
QUELQUES SUGGESTIONS POUR UN MEILLEUR RESULTAT
• Préchauffez toujours l’appareil avant de l’employer. Branchez l’appareil pendant votre
préparation des croque-monsieur.
• Le beurre aromatisé peut également être utilisé.
• Frottez du lard gras sur les tranches de pain qui rôtissent pour en accentuer le goût.
NETTOYAGE
• Veuillez retirer la fiche de la prise de courant et attendre que l’appareil refroidisse
totalement avant de le nettoyer.
• Essuyez l’intérieur et les angles de l’appareil à l’aide de papier absorbant ou d’un
chiffon doux. Ne nettoyez jamais votre appareil (extérieur et intérieur) à l’aide de
produits abrasifs car cela abîmerait le revêtement.
• Lorsque vous n'utilisez pas l'appareil, rangez-le dans un endroit sec.
• Si vous décidez de mettre votre appareil au rebut, il est conseillé de le rendre
inutilisable en coupant son cordon d'alimentation (assurez-vous que l'appareil est
débranché au préalable) et retirez les parties qui pourraient représenter un danger si un
enfant joue avec l'appareil.
• Le remplacement du cordon d'alimentation nécessite un outil spécial: adressez-vous à
un service qualifié compétent. Il en va de même pour toute autre réparation.
