1 - Lettura biblica: At 2,1-13
1Quando
venne il giorno della Pentecoste, i credenti erano
riuniti tutti insieme nello stesso luogo. 2All'improvviso si sentì
un rumore dal cielo, come quando tira un forte vento, e riempì
tutta la casa dove si trovavano. 3Allora videro qualcosa di simile
a lingue di fuoco che si separavano e si posavano sopra ciascuno
di loro. 4Tutti furono riempiti di Spirito Santo e si misero a
parlare in altre lingue, come lo Spirito Santo concedeva loro di
esprimersi.

Gerusalemme c'erano Ebrei, uomini molto religiosi, venuti
da tutte le parti del mondo. 6Appena si sentì quel rumore, si
radunò una gran folla e non sapevano che cosa pensare.
Ciascuno infatti li sentiva parlare nella propria lingua. 7Erano
pieni di meraviglia e di stupore e dicevano: 'Questi uomini che
parlano non sono tutti Galilei? 8Come mai allora ciascuno di noi
li sente parlare nella sua lingua nativa? 9Noi apparteniamo a
popoli diversi: Parti, Medi e Elamiti. Alcuni di noi vengono dalla
Mesopotamia, dalla Giudea e dalla Cappadòcia, dal Ponto e
dall'Asia, 10dalla Frigia e dalla Panfilia, dall'Egitto e dalla
Cirenaica, da Creta e dall'Arabia. C'è gente che viene perfino da
Roma: 11alcuni sono nati ebrei, altri invece si sono convertiti alla
religione ebraica. Eppure tutti li sentiamo annunziare, ciascuno
nella sua lingua, le grandi cose che Dio ha fatto'.

ne stavano lì pieni di meraviglia e non sapevano che cosa
pensare. Dicevano gli uni agli altri: 'Che significato avrà tutto
questo?'. 13Altri
invece
ridevano
e
dicevano:
'Sono
completamente ubriachi'.

When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together
in one place. 2 And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the
rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were
sitting. 3 Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a
tongue rested on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy
Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them
ability.

Now there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven living
in Jerusalem. 6 And at this sound the crowd gathered and was
bewildered, because each one heard them speaking in the native
language of each. 7 Amazed and astonished, they asked, "Are not all
these who are speaking Galileans? 8 And how is it that we hear, each
of us, in our own native language? 9 Parthians, Medes, Elamites, and
residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and
Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya
belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and
proselytes, 11 Cretans and Arabs—in our own languages we hear them
speaking about God's deeds of power."

14Allora
Pietro si alzò insieme con gli altri undici apostoli. A
voce alta parlò così: 'Uomini di Giudea e voi tutti che vi trovate a
Gerusalemme: ascoltate attentamente le mie parole e saprete che
cosa sta accadendo. 15Questi uomini non sono affatto ubriachi,
come voi pensate, - tra l'altro è presto: sono solo le nove del
mattino. - 16Si realizza invece quello che Dio aveva annunziato per
mezzo del profeta Gioele.
Ecco - dice Dio - ciò che accadrà negli ultimi giorni:
manderò il mio Spirito su tutti gli uomini:
i vostri figli e le vostre figlie saranno profeti,
i vostri giovani avranno visioni,
i vostri anziani avranno sogni.
18Su tutti quelli che mi servono, uomini e donne,
in quei giorni io manderò il mio Spirito
ed essi parleranno come profeti.
19Farò cose straordinarie lassù in cielo
e prodigi quaggiù sulla terra:
sangue, fuoco e nuvole di fumo.
20Il sole si oscurerà
e la luna diventerà rossa come il sangue.

22'Uomini
d'Israele, ascoltate ciò che sto per dire. Gesù di Nàzaret era
un uomo accreditato da Dio per voi con miracoli, con prodigi e con
segni. È stato Dio stesso a compierli per mezzo di lui fra voi. E voi lo
sapete bene! 23Quest'uomo, secondo le decisioni e il piano prestabilito
da Dio, è stato messo nelle vostre mani e voi, con la complicità di
uomini malvagi, lo avete ucciso inchiodandolo a una croce. 24Ma Dio
l'ha fatto risorgere, liberandolo dal potere della morte. Era impossibile
infatti che Gesù rimanesse schiavo della morte.

morning. 16 No, this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel:

"In the last days it will be, God declares, that I will pour out my
Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall
prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old
men shall dream dreams. 18 Even upon my slaves, both men and
women, in those days I will pour out my Spirit; and they shall
prophesy. 19 And I will show portents in the heaven above and
signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and smoky mist. 20 The
sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood, before the
coming of the Lord's great and glorious day. 21 Then everyone who
calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.'

3 - Lettura biblica: At 2,29-36
29'Fratelli,
devo parlarvi molto chiaramente riguardo al nostro
patriarca Davide. Egli è morto e fu sepolto, e la sua tomba si trova
ancor oggi in mezzo a noi. 30Egli però era profeta, e sapeva bene
quel che Dio gli aveva promesso con giuramento: 'metterò sul tuo
trono uno del tuo sangue'.
31'Davide
dunque vide in anticipo ciò che doveva accadere, e
queste sue parole si riferiscono alla risurrezione del Messia:
Egli non è stato abbandonato nel mondo dei morti
e il suo corpo non è andato in corruzione.
32'Questo
Gesù, Dio lo ha fatto risorgere, e noi tutti ne siamo
testimoni. 33Egli è stato innalzato accanto a Dio e ha ricevuto dal
Padre lo Spirito Santo che era stato promesso. Ora egli lo dona a
noi come anche voi potete vedere e udire. 34Davide infatti non è
salito in cielo; eppure egli dice:
Il Signore ha detto al mio Signore:
siedi accanto a me
35finché io porrò i tuoi nemici
come sgabello dei tuoi piedi.
36'Tutto
il popolo d'Israele deve dunque saperlo con certezza:
questo Gesù che voi avete crocifisso, Dio lo ha fatto Signore e
Messia'.

"Fellow Israelites, I may say to you confidently of our ancestor
David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to
this day. 30 Since he was a prophet, he knew that God had sworn
with an oath to him that he would put one of his descendants on
his throne.

Foreseeing this, David spoke of the resurrection of the
Messiah, saying, "He was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his
flesh experience corruption.'

This Jesus God raised up, and of that all of us are
witnesses. 33 Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and
having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he
has poured out this that you both see and hear. 34 For David did
not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says,

"The Lord said to my Lord,
"Sit at my right hand,
35 until I make your enemies
your footstool." '
Therefore let the entire house of Israel know with certainty that
God has made him both Lord and Messiah, this Jesus whom you

queste parole, i presenti si sentirono come trafiggere
il cuore e chiesero a Pietro e agli altri apostoli:

Fratelli, che cosa dobbiamo fare?
38Pietro
rispose: «Cambiate vita e ciascuno di voi si faccia
battezzare nel nome di Gesù Cristo. Riceverete il perdono dei
vostri peccati e il dono dello Spirito Santo. 39Infatti, ciò che Dio ha
promesso vale per voi, per i vostri figli e per quelli che sono
lontani: tutti quelli che il Signore, Dio nostro, chiamerà».
Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart and said
to Peter and to the other apostles,

Preghiera allo Spirito Santo
S: In pace preghiamo il Signore . Per la pace che viene dall’alto e per la
salvezza delle nostre anime, preghiamo il Signore.
Assemblea e Choir of Community of Jesus:
Kyrie eleison (ad ogni petizione)
S: Per la pace del mondo intero, la prosperità delle sante Chiese di Dio
e per l’unione di tutti preghiamo il Signore.
S: Per questo santo tempio e per quanti con fede, devozione e timor di
Dio vi accedono, preghiamo il Signore.
S: Per il popolo qui presente che attende la grazia del Santo Spirito per
essere guidato da Lui in tutta la vita, preghiamo il Signore.
S: Perché ci sia data la forza di giungere alla perfezione in modo
gradito a Dio, preghiamo il Signore.
S: Perché la Sua misericordia sia copiosamente mandata su di noi,

Segno di Pace
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace. If we live in the Spirit, let us
walk in the Spirit. The peace of the Lord be always with you.
Il frutto dello Spirito è amore, gioia, pace. Se viviamo nello Spirito,
camminiamo nello Spirito. La pace del Signore sia sempre con voi.
Let us offer one another a sign of peace, God’s seal on our prayers.
