ciclabile del Ponente ligure, la prima green way italiana a picco sul mare. Ma ci
sono anche l'Alta Via dei monti liguri, i parchi e le passeggiate a cavallo tra

The Regional Minister for Tourism Margherita Bozzano is betting on the new cycle path of western Liguria, the
first Italian “green way” overlooking the sea. But there is also the High Road of the Ligurian mountains, parks

che più di un solo lungo soggiorno estivo,
il turista punta a tante brevi incursioni lungo tutto l'anno. L’assessore regionale al Turismo Margherita Bozzano ha così ideato
un “pacchetto” che propone, oltre al mare,
il trekking, le tappe enogastronomiche, la

Spiega l'assessore Bozzano che per chi ama
la natura e il movimento c'è anche l'Alta Via
dei monti. “Sono 400 km da Sarzana a Ventimiglia, itinerario ideale per le escursioni di
più giorni o passeggiate anche a cavallo di
un pomeriggio. E poi puntiamo sulle aree
marine protette e sui parchi, 60 mila ettari
per passeggiate alla scoperta di boschi, val-

will be a coastal park which will have access

Minister Bozzano explains that for those
who love nature and exercise there is also

late nascoste e paesi dove si praticano ancora le attività tradizionali. Insomma il turismo ecosostenibile, grazie al nostro clima
può avere un’enorme espansione”.
Anche Franco Amadeo, vicepresidente della Provincia di Imperia e assessore al turismo, punta sulla pista ciclabile - “C’è già
un gran traffico di turisti e naturalmente
anche di residenti che, oltre pedalare nei
weekend, quando è bel tempo lasciano
l’auto e vanno a lavorare in bicicletta, per
esempio da Arma a Sanremo”. Già ora sono
affittabili le bici e alcuni punti di ristoro
sono in via di completamento. Entro un anno, spiega Amadeo, sarà possibile dalla pista ciclabile raggiungere le strade che entrano, a pettine, nell’entroterra. Faremo
segnaletica, guide e tracciati per permettere ai ciclisti di salire nella valle Argentina
e Armea. Esistono già, comunque, le cartine per mountain bike messe a punto dal Sistema turistico locale. Alla fine nel 2013
arriveremo a 48 chilometri di pista e speriamo davvero di potenziare il turismo fuori stagione proponendo le visite ai frantoi e
le degustazioni. Da anni festeggiamo già la
festa di primavera, che provocatoriamente
parte il 6 gennaio e che quest'anno, a fine
marzo, in occasione della gara ciclistica Milano-Sanremo, lancerà la settimana della
bicicletta, oltre alle già consolidate card
che prevedono sconti negli alberghi e bimbi gratis, sconti in tanti negozi e bus gratis,
omaggio di fiori, olio e pesto. Spiega Amadeo: “Per promuovere la nostra pista, faremo raduni di ciclo amatori e inviti a vecchi
campioni. La Provincia ha già comprato
due bus per riportare indietro i ciclisti, non
bastano, certo, ma ne compreremo altri e
abbiamo previsto comunque che anche gli
alberghi abbiano i propri nonché le officine per le riparazioni”. b

guides and roadmaps to enable cyclists to
climb to the valleys of Argentina and Arma.
Maps for mountain bikes developed by the
local tourism boards, however, already exist.
Eventually in 2013 we will have 48 kilometres
of track and we really hope to boost out of
season tourism by offering visits to mills and
tastings of local products. We have already
been celebrating the spring festival for years,
which provocatively starts on January 6th
and that this year, at the end of March,
during the Milan-San Remo cycling race, will
launch cycle week, in addition to the alreadyestablished card providing discounts at hotels
and free passes for children, discounts in
many shops and free buses, complimentary
flowers, oil and pesto. Amadeo explains: "To
promote our cycle track, we'll have rallies for
cycle lovers and invite ex-champions. The
Province has already bought two buses to
bring back cyclists (in trouble), not enough, of
course, but we’ll buy others and we foresee
that the hotels will also have their own
workshops for repairs." b
