A prosecco like no other, this wine is unfiltered, which means that some
of the particles and A LOT of the flavour that is naturally occuring in
wine is kept, resulting in a wine full of flavour and a cloudy
appearance.

As with all of the wines of the wine list, we have worked hard to seek
out small, conscientious producers who work hard to producer delicious
wine that expresses the grape(s) it is made from - Champagne is no
exception. The selection below may have a several unfamiliar faces, but
we can ensure you, what they lack in familiarity, they make up for in

Jerome is a protégé of Anselme Selosse, he produces brilliant wines that
are rich and complex from his tiny vineyard (2.2hectares). This
particular wine is made predominantly with Pinot Meunier. It is rich,
dense, complex and extremely long on the palate.

Produced by a well regarded co-op, this wine is a great
alternative for those who enjoy drinking Riesling or Sauvignon Blanc.
The nose is floral and aromatic and the palate is zippy and fresh with
flavour of peach, apple and citrus fruits.
2012 Nosiola ‘Fontanasanta’, E. Foradori, Trentino
79
Nosiola is an ancient grape variety that is native to Trentino. Once
widespread across the region, it is now only produced by a small handful
of producers. Elisabetta's Nosiola is pale gold, with a delicate nose.
This wine has been aged in Amphora for 8 months, which gives it a supple
texture. The wine has racey acidity with notes of bitter almond, citrus
and blossom.

pleasing. The nose is delicate and complex, with gentle florals, citrus
and stone fruit. Whilst the palate is pure, intense and richly flavoured
with a mineral core.

2011 Orto, OrtO, St Erasmo Island, Veneto
66
St Erasmo is the neighbouring island to Murano, so it was great for us to
find this wine! This wine is a blend dominated by Malvasia Istriana from
ungrafted vines. Thirst quenching and mineral, almost salty style that
works wonderfully with fresh flavours and seafood.

A great example of the local Verdicchio grape. This Verdicchio is from the
sub area of Castelli di Jesi, which is located close to the coast, it is
medium bodied with fresh citrus, white florals and a bitter almond finish.
Quite a nice alternative to Chardonnay!
2002 ‘Marche Bianco’, San Lorenzo, Marche
88
San Lorenzo is a leading name in the Marche and particularly where the
Verdicchio grape is concerned. 'Marche Bianco' is a very unique wine made
from Verdicchio grapes that have been aged for 12 years in concrete. The
result is a wine with purity, supple texture and haunting minerality.
The nose is intensely aromatic, with notes of jasmine, sweet almond
and honey. The palate is smooth, with lovely freshness and long
lasting flavour.

Orange
—
Orange wines are very much the talk of the town in recent years, and
whilst seemingly a new and quirky style of wine, wine has been made in
such a way for thousands of years.
In very simple terms, these are wines that are orange in colour as they
are made from white grapes that have been made in the same method as
that of a red wine. This means the juice is kept in contact with the
skins of the grape, this extracts more colour, tannin and flavour! These
wines are generally unfined and unfiltered so they have a wealth of
flavour and a richer structure and are at their best when accompanied
with food.
2010 Fiano ‘Don Chisciotte’, Pierluigi Zampaglione,
Campania
45
A slightly obscure style of this indigenious grape. This wine is a
really great introduction to this style of winemaking. It is packed
with stone fruit, golden apple and ground pepper spice.
2012 Slatnik, Radikon, Friuli
67
Radikon, located at the Slovenian border, is an iconic winery producing
long lived orange wines. Slatnik is a blend of the local grape Tocai and
Chardonnay. This wine has an intense golden yellow colour and an intense
nose that offers peach and apricot aromas. The palate is full, with
great minerality and approachable tannins.

This

is

yellow in colour and slightly hazy due to being unfiltered, with a very
charming, delicate and fruity nose. The palate is nicely textured, it is
dense but not heavy and balanced with long lasting acidity.
2006 Ribolla Gialla 'Anfora', Gravner, Friuli
138
Produced by legendary winemaker Josko Gravner, this wine is held with great
esteem throughout the wine world. Josko is widely famous for using Amphora
(large clay pots) that have been buried in the ground, for the aging of
this wine. The wine is incredibly complex and really benefits from being
decanted and enjoyed over a period of time. With air, the complex nose that
is honeyed, floral, smokey and almost spicey. The palate intense in both
structure and flavour.

fruit is sourced from the lower parts of their parcel in the steep, sheer

2011 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Emidio Pepe, Abruzzo

This winery was founded in the late 1800s and has been in the Pepe
family ever since. This very hands on operation means there is a high
level of attention throughout all stages of the production, the picking
of the grapes to the bottling of the wine is all done by hand. Medium
bodied, with bright crunchy fruit, spice and florals. The palate has
vibrant acidity and crunchy tannins and long length.
