GREAT BATTLES EXPECTED IN ALL THE CATEGORIES OF THE 26TH
ANDREA MARGUTTI TROPHY. 160 DRIVERS ON TRACK IN LONATO
25 countries will be represented at the Andrea Margutti Trophy that is
underway at the South Garda Karting of Lonato. Under the spotlight since the
beginning Davide Forè in KZ2, Max Fewtrell in KF, Noah Watt in KFJ, Nicolò
Cuman in 60 Mini. Qualifying practice and heats scheduled for Saturday 28
March, Prefinals and Finals for Sunday 29 March.
The 26th edition of the Andrea Margutti Trophy, race scheduled for the weekend of the 29th
of March and organized by Parma Karting at the South Garda Karting of Lonato, started in
the best possible way with a lot of drivers partaking in the 4 categories of the event. A solid
160 drivers have been verified in KZ2, KF, KF Junior and 60 Mini, out of the entered 165
coming from 25 countries. Competitiveness level is high in all categories as several
protagonists are ready to battle the victory out. On the side of the event, the “friend sun”
also appeared in Lonato, as used to announce the historic patron of the event, Umberto
Pellegrini.

Among the big names of the 53 drivers present in KZ2, the five times world champion Davide
Forè, on CRG-Tm, put his name forward as a strong contender to the final win of this 26th edition
of the trophy as he set the best time completing the quickest loop in 41”657. The advantage of
Forè is anyway limited to only a few thousands of a second. Luca Tilloca (Intrepid-Tm) is very
close to him with a quickest performance of 41”676, as the young and always quicker Giacomo
Pollini (CKR-Tm) set a best lap of 41”698. The other young promise Tommaso Mosca
(Maranello-Tm) followed in 41”716, the German Maxim Martynyuk (CRG-Modena) in 41”717 and
Massimo Dante (Maranello-Tm) in 41”750. All is set for the great spectacle ahead.
KF has 27 drivers on track. The strongest so far has been the Briton Max Fewtrell (FA AlonsoVortex) of team Ricky Flynn, who set the quickest time in three out of the four heats. His best time
was a 42”751. In his trail, the Dutch driver Richard Verschoor (Exprit-Vortex) and Leonardo
Lorandi (Tony Kart-Vortex). The performance of 2013 world champion Tom Joyner (Zanardi-Tm)
and that of the Russian Alexander Vartanyan (Tony Kart-Vortex) will also be quite awaited
though.
In KF Junior (43 drivers), another driver of Ricky Flynn, the Dane Noah Watt (FA Alonso-Vortex),
has been under the spotlight setting the best time of 43”754. Among the pace setters, Artem
Petrov (DR-Tm), Ivan Grigoriev (Kosmic-Vortex) and Ivan Shvetson (Tony Kart-Vortex).
In 60 Mini, Nicolò Cuman (Tony Kart-Tm) of Baby Race has been the quickest of the 37 drivers on
track in 49”874. A lot of youngsters were anyway close to Cuman, starting from Leonardo
Marseglia (CRG-Tm), to the Italian champion Giuseppe Fusco (Tony Kart-Tm).
The Andrea Margutti Trophy will get to its heart on Saturday 28 March with qualifying practice from
10.00hrs (local time). Heats will then follow at 13.20hrs. The programme will reach its conclusion
on Sunday 29 March with second chance races in the morning (at 10.30hrs) for KFJ, 60 Mini and
KZ2. Prefinals and Finals will follow. Drivers presentation will take place at 12,30hrs while prize
ceremonies will be at 17.30.

IL 26. TROFEO ANDREA MARGUTTI ANNUNCIA GRAN BATTAGLIA IN
TUTTE LE CATEGORIE. IN PISTA A LONATO 160 PILOTI
25 i paesi rappresentati nel Trofeo Andrea Margutti in svolgimento al South
Garda Karting di Lonato. Subito in evidenza Davide Forè in KZ2, Max Fewtrell
in KF, Noah Watt in KFJ, Nicolò Cuman nella 60 Mini. Sabato 28 marzo prove
ufficiali e manches, domenica 29 marzo Prefinali e Finali.
La 26ma edizione del Trofeo Andrea Margutti, in programma nel weekend del 29 marzo con
l’organizzazione di Parma Karting al South Garda Karting di Lonato, è subito iniziata nel
migliore dei modi, con un’ottima affluenza di piloti nelle 4 categorie della manifestazione,
ben 160 concorrenti verificati in KZ2, KF, KF Junior e 60 Mini, su 165 iscritti provenienti da
25 paesi. Ben evidente anche l’atmosfera di competitività in tutte le categorie, con molti
protagonisti decisi a dar battaglia per la vittoria. A corollario della manifestazione, a Lonato
è arrivato anche “l’amico sole”, come era solito annunciare lo storico patron dell’evento,
Umberto Pellegrini.

Fra i big della KZ2, 53 piloti, nei tempi delle prove libere di venerdì è stato subito il cinque volte
campione del mondo Davide Forè, su CRG-Tm, a proporsi maggior candidato al successo di
questa 26ma edizione, con il miglior crono provvisorio in 41”657. Il vantaggio di Forè è però
limitato a qualche millesimo di secondo. Luca Tilloca (Intrepid-Tm) gli è a ridosso con 41”676,
così come il giovane e sempre più veloce Giacomo Pollini (CKR-Tm) con 41”698, l’altro giovane
promettente Tommaso Mosca (Maranello-Tm) con 41”716, il tedesco Maxim Martynyuk (CRGModena) con 41”717, Massimo Dante (Maranello-Tm) con 41”750. Tutti quindi già pronti ad un
grande spettacolo.

In KF, con 27 piloti, per ora ha dominato l’inglese Max Fewtrell (FA Alonso-Vortex) del team Ricky
Flynn, autore del miglior tempo in tre turni su quattro. Il suo miglior crono è stato di 42”751.
Inseguono l’olandese Richard Verschoor (Exprit-Vortex) e Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart-Vortex).
Qui è attesa, fra gli altri, la prestazione anche del campione del mondo 2013 Tom Joyner
(Zanardi-Tm) e del russo Alexander Vartanyan (Tony Kart-Vortex).
In KF Junior (43 piloti) si è fatto valere ancora un pilota di Ricky Flynn, il danese Noah Watt (FA
Alonso-Vortex), miglior crono in 43”754. Fra i migliori anche i russi Artem Petrov (DR-Tm), Ivan
Grigoriev (Kosmic-Vortex), Ivan Shvetson (Tony Kart-Vortex).
Nella 60 Mini, con 37 piloti, è Nicolò Cuman (Tony Kart-Tm) di Baby Race ad aver staccato il
miglior tempo in 49”874. Molti gli altri giovanissimi a ridosso di Cuman, a cominciare da Leonardo
Marseglia (CRG-Tm) e dal campione italiano Giuseppe Fusco (Tony Kart-Tm).
Il Trofeo Andrea Margutti entra nel vivo sabato 28 marzo con le prove di qualificazione alle ore
10.00, e poi con le manches dalle ore 13.20. Il programma si conclude domenica 29 marzo con le
gare di repechage del mattino (ore 10.30) per KFJ, 60 Mini e KZ2, a seguire Prefinali e Finali.
Presentazione dei piloti alle 12.30, premiazioni alle ore 17.30.
