Pass è il nuovo il brand lanciato da Pasini Metals Production, azienda
che da 40 anni opera nell’ambito dei prodotti in ottone.
L’idea di Pass nasce dalla collaborazione con POLI.design, consorzio
per la ricerca e l’innovazione per il design del Politecnico di Milano.
Il brand Pass diviene per Pasini uno strumento strategico di design,
basato sulla generazione di nuova conoscenza, nata dall’incontro tra
mondo della produzione e mondo dell’università e della ricerca sul
design.
I prodotti Pass esaltano la capacità aziendale della lavorazione del
metallo attraverso la visione creativa del design, in una commistione di
materiali, finiture e funzioni innovative.
Il tema che fa da sfondo a Pass è la “soglia”, letta come misteriosa
area di progetto che può svelare tante storie inesplorate fatte di gesti,
sensazioni e bisogni.
Pass è il nuovo brand di design di Pasini, che unisce innovazione
e poesia con le competenze di un’azienda del “Made in Italy”.
A new brand has been launched by Pasini Metals Production.
Pass was born from the innovating sensitivity of a company which
has operated in the field of brass handles for 40 years and which
establishes, through the tireless search for excellence of Consorzio
POLI.design of the Milan Polytechnic, a collaborative relation aimed at
exploring new markets.
The new brand Pass is a strategic design tool, at the base of which lies
the solid foundation of shared knowledge and experience from both the
world of production and from the university of design.
The items presented by Pass highlight the traditional skills involved in
working the metals and fuses these with a most creative view offered by
the perspective of design, in a harmonious mixture of materials, finishes
and novel functions.
The background to Pass is the theme of the “threshold”, seen as a
mysterious area for projects which may disclose a wealth of unexplored
stories made of gestures, sensations and needs.
Pass is the new brand for the threshold design, which blends
innovation and poetry within the name of an Italian trademark.

Plus è la prima linea di prodotti pensati per il marchio PASS dove il design è il filo
conduttore, l’elemento guida.
Plus rompe il tradizionale modo di pensare il prodotto maniglia, e propone nuove
soluzioni funzionali, dove le emozioni hanno il loro spazio.
I tre livelli dell’innovazione di design di Plus:
- nuove funzioni, la maniglia vista non più come leva per aprire la porta ma come
oggetto dinamico, per appendere, per lasciare messaggi;
- nuovi materiali e finiture, il Corian®, il legno wengé, il nickel satinato;
- nuovo forme, uno styling semplice e lineare ma particolarmente flessibile nella
combinazione di componenti e finiture, dagli stili più sobri a quelli più eccentrici.
Plus is the first line of items conceived for PASS, where design is the guiding
element, the leitmotif.
Plus breaks away from the traditional way of thinking about a handle and suggests new
functional solutions, where there is ample room for emotions.
The three levels of innovation involved in the design of Plus:
- novel functions, the handle viewed no longer as a lever which serves to open a door
but as a truly dynamic object, used for hanging, to leave messages on;
- new materials and finishes, the Corian®, the wengé wood, the matt nickel;
- new shapes, a simple and linear styling offering particular flexibility in the combination
of components and finishes, suitable for a number of styles, from the very sober to the
more eccentric ones.
Trasmettere l’espressione dell’essere, ogni gesto, è anche, e sempre,
una forma per comunicare. Un segno, un decoro, un invito a compiere un
gesto, donare emozioni.
Per aprire, d’accordo, e perché no per lasciare un messaggio?
La maniglia, una buona maniglia, è un oggetto fedele, si sa, non si muove
se non per accoglierci. La leva modello Plus-O, disponibile in svariati
materiali e finiture, ha un foro che decora la sua superficie e che sembra
proprio adatto per metterci un fiore.
Communicating
Conveying the expression of the being, each gesture is also, and always,
a way of communicating. A mark, a decoration, an invitation to make a
move, to give emotions.
For opening, true, and why not to leave a message?
A handle, a good handle, is a faithful object, we know, and moves for
no other purpose than that of welcoming us. The lever model Plus-O,
available in various materials and finishes, has a hole which decorates its
surface and which seems most suitable for a flower to be put in.

Osservare, considerare, cogliere. Tanto con gli occhi fisici, che con
quelli della mente. Piccoli gesti, abitudini, comportamenti. Il design
rivela nella semplicità del pensiero l’incontro tra bello e utile.
Chi non ha mai usato la maniglia per appenderci qualcosa?
I modelli Plus-UP, Plus-LINE e Plus-O montati su placca con gancio
sono proprio pensati per chi la maniglia la vuole usare sul serio.
Hanging
Observing, considering, perceiving; as much with our eyes as with
those of our minds. Small gestures, habits, attitudes. It is in the
simplicity of thought that design shows the marriage between the
beautiful and the useful.
Who has never used a handle to hang something on it?
Models Plus-UP, Plus-LINE and Plus-O fitted on a plaque with a hook
have been thought up just for those who mean to put the handle to
good use.

Abbinare materiali e finiture, combinare i dettagli con il tutto, scegliere
di agire e non star fermi. Mai.
E se la maniglia fa “pandan” con le piastrelle del bagno ma
“stona” con le tende della cucina?
Plus è stata studiata per essere personalizzabile: dalla combinazione
dei suoi componenti base è possibile creare infiniti modelli secondo i
gusti dell’utente e le esigenze dell’ambiente.

Customizing
Combining materials and finishes, combining details with the whole,
choosing to act and not stand still. Never.
And if the handles match to perfection the tiles in the
bathroom but clash with the kitchen curtains?
Plus has been specifically studied to be customised: with the
combination of its basic elements, it is possible to create infinite and
personalised models to suit the user’s taste as well as the demands
posed by the room where the items are fitted.
