MP3 Export Notice
Dear industry members,
MP3 technology is Audio MPEG (USA) and Sisvel’s (Italy) patented
technology. Since the end of last year, they have been blocking products at
customs. If products cannot be demonstrated as licensed, they may be
seized and possibly destroyed. Our company’s products are licensed,
should you have such a need, please contact us. The Microsoft DRM
license may also be required for export to the United States and Europe.
Also, Thomson requires MP3 encoding royalties of USD $1 – 2. Our company
and JuLi Co. have a cooperation whereby we are legally authorized.
Hotek is the only professional manufacturer of MP3 products that has
dedicated R&D, high quality & service and is fully licensed and respectful
of IP.
If you have problems with the Sisvel, DRM or Thomson licenses, please
contact us immediately.
