Accademia Lingua Italiana Assisi
It is one of the most famous Italian language schools in
the world. Founded in 1993 by the linguist Angelo
Chiuchiù (author of the grammar book In Italiano, and the
Arte e Metodo series). Each year the school welcomes
students, professionals, men of culture and artists from
around the world. The Accademia is located in the historic
center of Assisi, considered by UNESCO World Heritage
site. Assisi is famous not only for the architectural and
artistic patrimony, but also because it is the land of Saint
Francis. The Accademia is recognized by the Italian
Ministry of Education, University and Research.
lessons
Standard course of Italian language (80 hours), after which it is issued a certificate of
attendance and evaluation. The Academy teachers have a university background and years of
experience.
books
Books and workbooks will be distributed at the beginning of the course. Previous Cils exam
papers are available for students who wish to take the exam. Guidance in the choice of exam
level is included as part of the course. The Accademia is also open outside the class schedule:
a library, video library, multimedia educational materials for individual use and the wi fi are
available to students for free.

The program costs 770 euro and includes:

On request we help students to find a suitable accommodation in:
Flat (shared)
€ 365 a month in a single room and € 260 each a month in a double
room.
Flats are entirely furnished, self-catering with a fully equipped kitchen.
Costs of heating and electricity not included and are to be paid
according to consumption.

Extra activities
Assisi, Umbria area, weekend art
Assisi is Umbria, 120 kilometers from Florence and 200 from Rome (easily reached by train
www.trenitalia.it). Umbria is famous not only for Assisi but for many other medieval towns:
Spello, Gubbio, Spoleto, Perugia, Montefalco, Trevi, Bevagna Castiglione del Lago, Todi. In
Accademia, you can book guides and transport (minibus or taxi), or weekends in art cities
(tours + transportation + accommodation in Rome, Venice, Florence, Pisa, Padua).
