WHAT IS ICF?
ICF stands for
“International Classification of Functioning,
Disability and Health”.
ICF as a tool was prepared by the
World Health Organization (WHO) to
obtain a systematic classification
which describes the changes in the
state of health of a person and the
related states.
By selecting the specific categories in a checklist, it
is possible to obtain an unbiased description of what is
referred to as a person’s functioning and disability, i.e. the
elements which determine their health condition.
