The Summer School will be held in Feltre (Belluno) from 24th to 28th of August 2015.
The partecipation fee amounts to € 490, and includes: didactic activities, for
excursions, practical laboratories, didactic materials, meals, accomodation in a

L’Università di Padova, sotto la direzione scientifica della
prof.ssa Paola Zanovello, organizza a Feltre (BL) dal 24 al
28 Agosto 2015 la seconda Summer School Internazionale
“Water and the city: hydraulic systems in the roman age”.
La Summer School si propone come un corso ad alta
intensità, con nove ore di attività didattica al giorno,
incentrato sui temi del’idraulica nel mondo Romano.
L’elevata importanza che le infrastrutture idrauliche
ebbero durante l’età romana e la loro conseguente
amplissima diffusione, fanno di questo corso un’occasione
formativa unica e dai caratteri peculiari. La Summer
School affronterà gli aspetti tecnici-archeologici relativi
all’approvvigionamento, alla conservazione, allo
sfruttamento e allo smaltimento dell’acqua all’interno
degli insediamenti urbani romani. Saranno inoltre
illustrati aspetti metodologici per un corretto approccio
a questo tipo di beni, e altri tecnici e giuridici relativi
alla conoscenza e valorizzazione di questo tipo di
manufatti, spesso non indagati adeguatamente. Le attività
formative prevedono lezioni frontali, ma anche escursioni
e laboratori. La provenienza
internazionale dei relatori, la loro diversa formazione, e
l’appartenenza a enti – di ricerca e di tutela – di vario tipo,
garantisce al corso un approccio multidisciplinare. Il
corso è rivolto a studenti universitari, specializzandi,
dottorandi e dottori di ricerca, oltre che a studiosi e a
impiegati nelle strutture di tutela, conservazione e
promozione dei beni culturali. La Summer School verrà
attivata con un numero minimo di 15 partecipanti, ed è
aperta ad un massimo di 25 persone.
Al termine del corso viene rilasciato un attestato di
partecipazione, valido per QUATTRO C.F.U. – E.C.T.S.
(European Credit Transfer System).
Padua University organizes – under the scientific
direction of Prof. Paola Zanovello – the second
international Summer School on “Water and the city:
hydraulic systems in the roman age”, that will be held in
Feltre (BL) from 24th to 28th of August 2015. The Summer
School is projected to be a highly intensive course ( nine
lesson-hours per day), focused on the hydraulic topics
during the Roman time. The hydraulic infrastructures
had such a high importance and were such widespread
that this course results a unique formative opportunity.
The Summer School will deal with the
technical-archaeological aspects of the water supply,
stocking, distribution and wasting management in the
Roman urban settlements. Moreover, you will come into
contact with some methodological aspects to approach
the hydraulic structures, and technical - juridical
aspects to assure a correct and full knowledge and
valorization of this kind of relics. Both theoretical and
practical activities, as well as some didactic excursions,
are scheduled. The course is given a real multi-discipline
approach thanks to the international provenance of the
lecturers, their diversified formation and the
membership to different boards, both of research and
Cultural Heritage safeguard. The Summer School is
addressed to Bachelor and Master Students, Phd.
students or degreed, scholar and to employees in all the
fields linked to Cultural Heritage safeguard,
conservation and valorization boards. The course will be
activated for a minimum of 15 persons and will host a
maximum of 25 persons.
At the end of the School an attendance certification
will be released. This certification gives the chance
to claim 4 C.F.U. – E.C.T.S. (European Credit Transfer
System).
